Great place! Food is quick and delicious, but the best part are the people. Wait staff is very kind and friendly, I always have a great experience here.

Fast service and good Mexican food! I was there with three coworkers and we were all very happy with our meals.

In the area on business and tried this venue for a colleague’s birthday lunch. I had the chimichanga lunch special. Delicious!
Will return if I’m ever working in this area again.

One of the better Mexican places in Lansing. Not the fastest service, and inconsistent chips and salsa. Wonderful chimichangas though.

I’m writing this review to praise one item and overall to complement the restaurant. I got a combo plate with enchilada, burrito and taco and they were fine. Got a Chile Relleno ala-​carte also and it might be the best one I’ve ever consumed. Amazing!

First time to this restaurant and let me tell you… you will not be disappointed!
We came in the back entrance and were seated right-​away and were given hot fresh tortilla chips with salsa; now if you like spicy… then this salsa is great! It has just enough spice to give it a nice kick. If you are not a person who likes spicy, then this salsa may be a little hot for you.
The waiter was very nice and answered my questions about certain foods on the menu & would always check on us to see if we needed anything. We ordered El Guapo Sampler & Alambres (will post pics)! The food was piping hot, which I really enjoyed and was absolutely delicious! The sampler, really can feed a family of four (depending on the appetite), which includes a beef burrito, chicken burrito, cheese quesadilla, ½ order of nachos & a side of white cheese sauce… YUM!!! Also ordered Alambres (strips of steak &bacon with grilled onions, green/​red peppers & a white cheese sauce on top)…DOUBLE YUM! We definite could not finish all this food and ended up with 3 medium take home boxes. One thing for sure, I will definitely be back again and I will bring my kids, because I know they will enjoy it, especially the chips/​salsa! We always try to find different Mexican Restaurants and compare them to my mom’s home cooking and this is extremely close!
The restaurant itself was clean, the booths add privacy and I really like the bright colors they used. The staff was also very nice and attentive and made sure to greet you on your way out! Really enjoyed my experience here.

Excellent meal and great service. I had a tossed salad with fajita chicken. The chicken was moist and the salad did not require dressing. My husband had the chicken fajitas and was equally impressed.

Great Cancun fajitas food was great the margaritas are awesome very strong. Prices were average atmosphere festive all around great place definitely come here more often

As soon as I got out of my car and walked up it smelled so amazing, even from outside. Love the way this place is decorated, and the food was so good. Try the chimichanga. Fried burrito, I mean can you really go wrong with that? Reasonable prices, around $ 10 per entrée. Our server took great care of us and was very pleasant & on top of our drinks. I’ll be back for my next cheat meal. :) Me gusta mucho.

Muy bien!!! Great service! Great atmosphere. We sat at the bar rail with our 8 yr old seeing as it was a little busy. He loved the décor and ambiance. We took two dos Equis grande… FYI they are «old school talls!» Like the mini pitchers you remember from university. I recommend the Pollo Toluca! Great authentic mex but also offers great Tex mex if that’s what your in to.

I would consider this watered down Mexican food for the average American taste pallate. Is it still good? Of course! Would a place like this last in Detroit or GR where there is authentic Mexican, nope. I ordered Texanas Fajitas, my husband ordered the Cancun fajita, and my sons shared the guapo appetizer. The fajitas were «aight», the guac that comes in the side was fresh, but the rice was a little hard on the outside, letting me know that it has been sitting out. Service wasn’t that good this time. He did bring us extra napkins (kids), but he took a long time to give us the bill, normally it’s better.

Stumbled upon this gem via Unilocal tonight while trying to satisfy an evening hunger. Thanks to those who rated this place before us, we tried it out. I completely agree with the 5 star rating. Our portions were huge and delicious. Everything was clean and the service was prompt and friendly. We will definitely be back even though we live an hour away.

Service is great, and the food is awesome. Looks unassuming from the outside, but inside your feel welcomed, then full! Weight Watchers is right next door. You might need it!

I can’t remember the last time I had Mexican food so good. It reminds me of the time I was a Texas ranger and had access to the finest Mexican food. I would eat tacos everyday. It became part of my training program.
The enchiladas, tacos and chalupa are excellent! I tried one of everything on the menu and it left me full! Thank you Cancun Grill!

I love Cancun! My husband and I come here quite frequently and are never disappointed. Usually we can each grab an entrée and split a pitch of margarita (good strong ones too) for around $ 40. Love it!

Great service, great food & good margaritas. I ordered a combo plate… enchilada & tamale. The chicken enchilada was great, no complaints. The tamale itself was awesome… carnitas inside. The not so good part of the tamale was the topping, topped with chile (beans/​over cooked ground beef). I would definitely order any enchilada & tamale sans chili. I also ordered the «to die for» queso (per another review). In fact, I might die… pretty sure it was white Velveeta (I’d bet on it). Skip the queso.
All in all it was a good experience. I’d revisit any restaurant with good service & the service here was excellent! Next time I’ll order one of the ‘house specialties’.

Only problem I had here was the language barrier between my waiter and I. It was a little slow but, no problem, I’m pretty patient. Plus they have free nachos and salsa to hold you over in the meantime. They weren’t nothing to be crazy about but it was enough to snack on. When our food arrived, I was taken aback by how much we were served for the price, I definitely left full. In my opinion, the food was delicious except for a random spicyness which I despised because I dislike spicy food but other than that, amazing and definitely the place to go for your real mexican food fix.

Everything about this place is great! Great salsa, great enchiladas, great queso fundido.

Outstanding food. Great service. I had the Cancun chicken and loved out. My wife had the chicken burrito and loved it as well. Service was as great as the food. I will be returning again. They also brought chips and salsa for an appitizer. No charge.
