The pizza here is good, but it’s compared to other pizzas in town which makes it fall in my book. My biggest gripe about this place is the fact that Crusty’s changed sauce from the 1st owner and it lost all it’s flavor. The sauce in all reality tastes identical to tomato sauce(plain) that you would get from a can to make homemade pizza sauce. I think they try to keep it simple but some darn garlic salt or oregano would sure hit the spot on this pizza. The crust and cheese are both really good and I hear great things about their sandwiches. But the pizza is just so darn bland. I would think with Irene’s across the bay that we could borrow a little of salt from their delicious sauce and put it on this bad boy. If you are the owner and you are reading this, put salt in your pizza sauce. If you are salting already, triple what your putting into it. The taste that you offer could be much better. Nancy knew what was up with the Lawrie’s in the sauce, that stuff was excellente. If you borrowed that recipe I would frequent your business more often. Until then, Irenes reigns supreme. If anyone cared, here is my rundown of Keweenaw bay Pizza places 1) Irenes Pizza(in world as well) 2) Whirl-i-gig pizza 3) Hilltop Pizza 4) Superior pizza(Best ½ bbq ½ hot wings ever) 5) Crusty’s If anyone else is not on here, you don’t deserve to be. Bring back JB’s pizza!!!

Great pizza and locally owned, and they also have some awsome sandwhiches.

This place has really good salads and french bread pizza. Didn’t care too much for the BLT pizza but everything else is really good.
