great food and love the new waitstaff, glad to see they are improving in that area. prices are reasonable and the place is very CLEAN. Don’t take my word go see for yourself and you won’t be disappointed and if you are I apologize in advance.

We love this place for Breakfast. It’s local, has a good menu, and a friendly staff. The waffles and pancakes are the best around. You won’t go wrong with the eggs and sausage if that is your preference.
Some folks have mentioned the décor, but we found it clean and bright, and more appealing than when it was Friendlys.
Service can be a little slow, but if they fix that, they would get 5 stars from us.

Just okay. Food was not bad but not great. Atmosphere is a little dated. Nothing exciting and have no intention to revisit as nothing really stood out. Nice people working there serving food. Give it a try and judge for yourself.

My wife, friend and I decided to try this place for breakfast for the first time. I felt like I was walking into an MMA match. There was yelling and screaming coming from the back, not exactly sure about what. We were sat by the hostess and two different waitresses came over to take our order after about waiting for awhile. You can see the animosity between the wait staff and could cut the tension in there with one of your dirty knives on the table.
We were concerned to actually eat at this establishment that we signaled the hostess to our table. She stated the fighting and yelling always happens here. We asked if it was safe to eat here, wondering if the kitchen was even clean and sanitary. She then replied that her family owns this restaurant and it has been open for a year.
The food was absolutely sub par, especially the «famous chicken & waffles» which is just two pieces of weaver chicken slapped on a waffle. Would definitely not be returning to this place, nor would we recommend this place to others.

My family and I have been here for breakfast several times and the food has been great. We like that it’s open Sundays and they have seating for larger groups. You get nice size portions. Pancakes were yummy and quite large. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was because at times the waitress was not very pleasant but that can happen to the best of us! We will definitely return, this place is a keeper!

Ate here for breakfast today, won’t be back. This place used to be a Friendly’s and I wish it still was!!! We had scrapple and eggs. We ordered extra crispy scrapple! Scrapple has to be cooked crispy. It was mushy & our food was just not appetizing. They told us we ate the last of the scrapple and kept asking us how everything was. That made us very weary of the food. Not sick as of yet, but we will not be back. Should have gone to Valentino’s Bistro. If you have a choice choose Valentino’s just up the street on the other side of the road.

Pretty tasty breakfast, service is slow. There are coupons in the local ads so keep an eye out

Went for breakfast today. Service was slow but there were only three waitresses and a help wanted sign out front so we knew they were short handed. The scrambled eggs we ordered were not cooked all the way through. Both my order and my spouse’s were raw/​wet on the inside. The waffle and pancakes were alright, not bad but not anything special. We won’t be returning here.

Wow, I trusted the previous reviews and tried this place, complete mistake.
First, the one good thing was my daughters waffle, they should stick to their namesake as that was probably the best waffle I ever tasted.
Now the rest…
Waited 40 minutes for our food in an empty restaurant. In those 40 minutes they apparently only had time to cook the waffle as everything else they put on our table was undercooked.
Both my wife and I got eggs and a side, they got both orders wrong, and we didn’t ask for anything exquisite, we ordered right off the menu. My oldest daughter got pancakes, she complained they were gross so I tried them, completely undercooked and I agree, GROSS. Home fries, once again gross, tasted as though they just grabbed a potato, sliced it and dumped it on my plate without any cooking.
Finally the bill. They handed me a $ 45 bill for a $ 30 meal. After review it turns out they double charged us for my wife’s food and all of the sides. I brought this up and the waitress actually said, and I quote «I thought things were showing up on there twice». Who does that! If you thinks my bill is wrong, don’t you double check the slip before handing it to me expecting me to just pay it!
The people are nice, but the overall incompetence and awful meals far outweighed their kindness.

I’m going with a solid 4 stars… My friend and I went for breakfast — the food was excellent… OMG the pancakes were AMAZING… and our waitress was super nice, but it took kind of a long time for our food to come… and then when it came time to pay, they gave us the wrong bill — and had to do this weird transaction thing to fix it
.overall I’d go back because the food was that good — and the service is something that they could easily improve…

I see some complaints about the décor, well I’m not here to eat the décor. I am here to have the best waffles ever, crispy on the out side and soft and light on the inside, eggs and sausage were cooked to profection. Wait staff were polite and accommodating

WAFFLES! Just saying that word is fun! And luckily Broadway Joes delivers on their waffle-​y goodness! As one would hope, they have a large variety of breakfast options (particularly waffles as expected) available all day long. They also have lunch and dinner options, but i have never tried those… because…well…WAFFLES!!!
The staff is friendly, and even Joe himself is hovering around pitching in, which is a nice personal touch and really makes you want to support his efforts as a local eatery vs all the chain restaurants nearby.
So why not five stars? Because objectively, its still just «waffles»…a plain belgian waffle here is no different than a plain belgian waffle anywhere else (as long as they dont screw it up). Its not like Joe has his own «special waffle mix»…but he absolutely shines with the variety of waffles available!
Ill definitely be back again, because this place deserves the business!

Really nice place for breakfast! It’s cozy, nothing fancy but also has a family that owns and operates it. The menu is pretty standard for breakfast places, but they offer flavored coffees (with syrups for flavoring not crappy flavored coffee) which I’ve never seen at a breakfast place before.
I was happy to find chicken and waffles, and while it was simple Panko breaded breast meat pan fried, it’s the first place I’ve found up here that serves it. I’d love to see some real fried chicken with waffles there soon.
I’ve never had to wait long for food or a table which for me is important since being hungry makes me cranky, lol.

Very good coffee for a diner type place. I had the 22, 2 eggs, 2 sausage, 2 pancakes. The scrambled eggs were very nice and fluffy. The sausage was decent without that typical diner casing. The pancakes were very good as well. Similar to McD’s hotcakes but good! The other members of my party all had waffles and while they didn’t rave about them, they were really good. Lots of variety of toppings for the waffles. My girlfriend had eggs over easy and they were cooked perfectly. No runny at all in the whites and the yolks were runny and wonderful. The 1 thing that missed a 5 star review was limp, microwaved bacon. Good flavor but VERY chewy. Wait staff was pleasant, food was delivered from the kitchen quickly and piping hot, and coffee was refilled right on time.

The good: the food! My breakfast was delicious with the exception of the bacon which was undercooked, which I will come back to.
The bad: the décor-​the place looks dirty and rundown, the waitstaff-​my waitress asked me if my 3 year old was going to need a fork. Really? And my undercooked bacon, I told my waitress it was undercooked and she took it back to the kitchen to have it cooked again. Really? It’s bacon not filet mignon, make me new bacon. The kids menu, it doesn’t even have waffles on it! This is a waffle house right?

Alright, I will be completely honest. I should give a 3 star review for this place, BUT they 100% redeem themselves with their breakfast. But that is the problem, it is a breakfast place that tries REALLY hard to be a lot of things, from a diner, to a gourmet restaurant, all of which is moderate at best. their menu is fine, but their early bird special is confusing, and they just have so much going on at the same time, it is starting to fall down around them. honestly i have a feeling that in another month or 2 that i am going to have to re-​write this review for the worst. you have this feeling that the place is suffocating.
they also do really strange, quirky things with their dinners. for instance, they have a shrimp parmigiana dish that was fine, but they not only left the shells on the shrimp, but didnt even serve it with pasta. some places give too much pasta, but they dont even give you a noodle.
The waitresses are for the most part really nice and helpful, which is a huge perk for them. the seating is small but comfortable, and i recommend the eggs benedict or the waffles, which are both delicious. if you want dinner, i suggest the back of the menu. the meatloaf is usually really good. my feance got the cheese steak the other day, and she said it was pretty good. if you have a problem, they take care of it for you.
i really hope this place gets back the the way it was the first time we went, because it was out of this world. if they can bounce back from this strange dip they are in, it will be one of my favorite places to eat.

Breakfast was hot and prompt. Eggs were fluffy, not dried out, waffles are fluffy as well with a nice crisp outside. Good coffees too. Flavored waffle selections are delicious and flavored coffees smell great though I have not tasted yet. The staff was busy but very friendly. They were busier on our second visit so hopefully they will be around a good long time!

Solid breakfast spot, waffles are tasty. It doesn’t ever look very busy hopefully they stay in business.
