This was my first time here. Ordered cheeseburgers and a chicken grilled sandwich. The burgers were delicious but a little oily. The sandwich was good. The fries was ok. I would definitely check this place again.

Just stopped in for a drip coffee which was pretty good, but the ambiance was a little lacking for me. I’d give it another try for the food seeing it gets good reviews.

Great breakfast and lattes! Service is fast and friendly. Clean, convenient, delicious. If you’re staying in Langley I would definitely recommend this spot! I had the pancake one morning and it had a great«corn-bread-esk» flavor that was really enjoyable! The next morning I had the huevos rancheros and it was hands down one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in my entire life. Go here, sit down with your loved ones and thoroughly enjoy your meals.

Great people, great food, great vibe. I personally find their coffee to be a tad on the acidic side, but that’s just me. Many locals love it, and you can’t beat the freshness– sometimes you can catch the owner roasting a batch of beans– very cool. Great spot to meet with friends and have coffee talk.

The best cappuccino I have ever had. Super thick foam on top, then great tasting espresso mixed with the creaminess of foam and again plenty of foam left on the bottom! The shop itself is on a cool, quirky side. There is plenty of sitting, some shelving with their merchandise on sale(they even have their coffee spice rubs) and outdoor patio. A definite stop when exploring this charming little town!

Great atmosphere, great food, great coffee. They have a fantastic industrial coffee roaster, smoke their own meats, and have tons of veggies to create your own omelette. I am allergic to eggs, whey, and gluten. They let me create a «scramble» with tons of roasted veggies(carrots and tomatoes even), house smoked bacon, and great potatos. Not often I find a breakfast place where I feel completely satisfied when I leave.

I came here with my family while in town for a wedding. I had the«café omelet» which was amazing! The eggs were thin and the filling was bacon and spinach, which were very fresh and delicious. The coffee was also very good! My aunt said«the breakfast panini was out of this world!» Definitely a great find!

My favorite coffee shop in Langley. Friendly staff and great coffee. We always make sure to stop in when we’re over in Whidbey — you should too!

A funky, welcoming look straight out of Austin Texas, an outstanding iced coffee(strong, smooth, flavorful), and also the best food so far on Whidbey Island. They smoke their own pulled pork and you can get it on a nice salad with pickled jalapenos, pickled onions, and roasted tomatoes — or whatever it is you want instead. Tacos with house-smoked pulled chicken were good too, with some unusually great black beans. I could eat here all week.

It’s our family tradition to stop here for brunch and live music whenever possible. The best Huevos Racheros on the island!

My husband and I stopped in for a hot tea on a beautiful morning. Neither of us drink coffee, so I can not review that aspect. We ended up not getting anything because we could not be guaranteed that the Chai Latte was vegan. They do offer rice, soy and almond milk, however the chai was a mix and it may have contained powdered milk. They do have gluten-free options but their food is heavy in cheese and meat. Sorry vegans, you can’t go there. Really cute place in a lovely setting though.

Yum !! My husband came on a weekend getaway to whidby island. We are loving all the places we eat! This little coffee house is more than coffee & bakery items. The ingredients they use is high quality & it shows.

Went here with a my company for a work retreat. Had great eggs and toast! Lots of room to spread out and have the conversations we needed. Will definitely come back next time I’m on the island.

Great café that has a lot of seating inside and outside the location. The food and coffee was great– the pressed sandwiches were delicious. We went on a Sunday and there was a live group performing music, a great touch to the ambience of the neighborhood. Would definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

My favorite coffee shop on the south end of Whidbey Island. Wonderful food and coffee. Live music throughout the day. The ambiance inside makes you feel like you are in Europe. Abundant outdoor seating for spring and summer. Great location to stop at while walking around Langley.

My husband surprised me with a whale watching tour up in Whidbey last Sunday for my birthday. So we decided to grab a few sandwiches from a local restaurant, Useless Bay to take with us. We knew going in that this place had great reviews and was highly recommended by the Unilocal Universe, but we were honestly not prepared for how flipping AMAZING the sandwiches would be. The Coffee house and restaurant is a bit unassuming. It has a large patio area for al fresco dining, and a pretty, classic brick façade. When you first walk in the entry is a bit snug, with a few scattered tables and chairs to the left, and brightly lit bakery counters to the right showing off their baked goods and their freshly made sandwiches. You can either order from the counter like a typical sandwich shop, or you can actually grab a seat at one of their tables for a full dining experience. The small entryway opens up into several rooms that lead into one another. You can tell that the building was once comprised of several smaller rooms that were opened up to allow for the flow of the restaurant. Lining the walls are photographs of the town, the island, and several historic residents of the area. It’s from those photos that I learned that the Useless Bay Coffee Company is housed in the former city hall, which has now since moved to the former Masonic Temple across the street. Back to the sandwiches though. They. Were. Amazing. We got two sandwiches, one was the Autostrada, and the other was the Turkey Cheddar. They were fresh, and panini pressed to perfection. I don’t think you understand. These sandwiches were so perfect. Complex, savory, fresh, unique, and exactly what we needed. They were so filling too, and had us set for most of the day. If you are on Whidbey and are looking for a light, satisfying lunch, you should absolutely stop by Useless Bay Coffee Company. I know that we’ll be back to check out the rest of their menu.

I’m a little sad I didn’t get a coffee here. Funky vibe that seems more aimed at residents than tourists. They have a simple lunch menu of burgers, a few sandwiches, salads, tacos, and chili. One of the better chilis I’ve had with a home made crema topping. Fish tacos are also very good.

Useless Bay Coffee Company was the first stop in Langley after arriving from the Mukilteo-Clinton ferry earlier today for me and the kiddo. Wide variety of food items are available: panini sandwiches, baked goods, soups, salads, burgers, breakfast fare, and of course, coffee! Super friendly counter and barista staff. What did we order(w/tax and tip under $ 24): 8 ounce hot chocolate($ 1.80) 16 ounce mocha($ 4.25) Lemon brioche($ 2.65) 12 ounces organic Ethiopian roast beans($ 10.95) The indoor seating was taken up because there was a trio playing live music, but fortunately on a sunny Saturday, there’s plenty of outdoor seating. Well tended plant beds(daffodils!), chirping birds, and bubbles floating from the machine at the next door glass studio and gallery. Hot beverages were spot-on perfect. For me, that was one of the best mochas. The lemon brioche was very tasty — not too eggy and ample lemon curd in the center. Great people, food/beverages, atmosphere and vibe — worthwhile stop during a visit to Langley!

All we had was coffee, so this review is based on that. Stopped by on a sunny September Thu. Very few visitors in town. COFFEE: 4.0. Decaf and regular Americanos. The regular was a medium-roast. I would have preferred darker, but it was well-made nonetheless. SERVICE: 4.0. Prompt and friendly. AMBIANCE: 4.0. Large area inside and outside.

I love creatively put together coffee shops. Obviously owned by artists, this place has spunk. Latte is Devine. Cappuccino with copious amounts of foam is mouth watering. Baked goods are really good and not too sweet. Such a welcome change from any chain like coffee shop.
