P S Suisse is a wonderful little bakery tucked away in Langley. Peter, the owner, is a master at baking and his croissants are the flakiest! During the lunch hours, they serve soup and sandwiches that are wonderful. Their Reuben is the best! They only take checks and cash but well worth the time.

The pastries were stunning, and my heart was touched seeing the baker as he strolled out of the shop to take a little break. The only reason I give this little shop only two stars is because I was being given the bum’s rush out of the place after only sitting inside for 10 minutes. I ordered a cup of coffee and, as there were people lined up behind me and I couldn’t decide what delicious baked good to select, I said I’ll just have coffee for starters and work my way up to a pastry. My seat was right across from the case and I could peruse the offerings without holding up the line. So, as noted, barely 10 minutes go by, and the woman who seemed to be the proprietor came rushing over, said«can I get you anything else?» and before I could respond, she peered into my cup and said, oh, you’re still drinking your coffee, and then added, «We need the tables!» before dashing away. WEIRD. I guess they needed the tables so they could replace me with someone else who would then be kicked out because they needed the tables? I stayed and ordered a pastry anyway, because I like supporting small businesses, because they were scrumptious, and because, I admit, I felt like going, well, take THAT, I’m going to stay at my table a little longer. I admit, kind of a funny way to avenge yourself… by eating pastry :)

Quaint little bakery with four tables for seating outside on a gorgeous sunny morning. Hanging flowers and a beautiful maple tree provides shade and beauty. We ordered the ham and cheese croissant and the cheese tart, each for $ 5. There were real big slices of ham inside not the chopped up slices and the cheese tart was delicious. They warm it up in an oven not a microwave so it takes about 10 minutes. The husband(owner?) decorates each little plate with pickles, radish and tomatoes. This morning, he placed a piece of round bread into a plant pot and in the bread, dug a hole at the top and topped it off with stalks of freshly cut lavender. He placed each«table decoration» on the patio tables outside with smiles and love. Great place and ambience.

P S Suisse is a pleasant, tucked away storefront off of 2nd Street(around the back from Mona’s Chocolates) and definitely had that lovely old-school bakery smell. The kiddo and I were kindly greeted by two bakery staff members upon entering. How to decide when it smells so good, pastry case full of enticing European-style baked goods, and darn it I should have hit an ATM earlier(***CASHONLY***) and not bought those Girl Scout cookies at the ferry terminal! Anyways, probably was good for appropriate restraint since we had just had treats at another nearby café. So I let the kiddo make the selection and it was for a generously sized Linzer cookie($ 2.50) which was deemed later at home as ‘delicious, Mom!’ Definitely next time, I’d love to buy a selection of puff pastry goodies and danishes.

Charming authentic Swiss Bakery café. Quaint brick court yard with four outdoor tables is a tranquil setting for lunch. Open part of the week with lunch from about 12 – 2. Delicious pastries to eat there or to go. Cash only. Pastry chef returns to Switzerland during the winter.

I can’t tell you if the food was good or not. They did not want me to sit at the shaded large table, but at the small table in the blazing sun. No alternatives were suggested. They seemed very uninterested in my business. I guess that’s how you can be when your main clientele is tourists.

Such a delightful shop and wonderful owners. I contacted them about making a birthday cake for my wife. Great experience! The pickup was simple as could be, with the shop very near the back parking lot. The lovely ladies even helped me get it out to my car. When we had it that evening — Amazing! Such a light cake, with decadent chocolate frosting. The best though was when we stopped by the next day to drop off the platter the cake was on, we met the owner. He is such a great storyteller! 70 years young and going strong. Says he’s retired«two years ago» but seems to still be working. He was casting Easter Bunnies that day — I wish I could be a kid again and get one of those! Pure Swiss chocolate — the *real* stuff. It’s rare to meet a craftsman that still believes in quality product with the right ingredients. No short cuts here and it shows. Delicious!

It’s such a pleasure and a joy to visit this bakery. Their pastries are phenomenal… the apple almond roll is unparalleled(as other reviews have mentioned) and I enjoyed the strawberry rhubarb pastry as well. It’s tucked back off the Main Street of Langley… we found it by chance one sunny day. The owners are very friendly and talkative, or at least have been every time we’ve gone. My only complaint is that it’s a seasonal shop… not sure of the dates, but sometime in late fall they close up shop and go to Switzerland(I think) until the Spring. Maybe I just want them to take me with them so I can keep getting their yummy pastries and breads :)

Maybe it was an off day, but the people working here were unhappy the day I stopped by, and the pastry was average. I just remember having a somewhat gloomy experience overall.

P S Suisse is the first Swiss bakery I’ve ever been to and it was a great experience! I would return to Langley just for the Apple Almond Roll!

Authentic Swiss bakery serving hearty meals, exquisite pastries and precisely crafted breads right in little Langley. This is a place that only exsits out of love and pride. We never would have found it had we not raved about the bread served at the B&B. Turns out it is run by a former White House pastry chef. I haven’t been to Switzerland in a decade but stepping inside this little gem you feel the wholesome quality and the attention to detail. We stocked up on chocolate dipped cookies and regretted not being able to come back for lunch because the locals rave about the freshness and heartiness of the food. The owners are really cute. Very Swiss!
