Friendly staff. Excellent BBQ! The sides are homemade and tasty. If in the area, well worth the stop. Best BBQ in the area!

Just wonderful BBQ, the only quality mom and pop in lando/lutz area. Recommend dining in, all you can eat is a deal and delicious. Usually I go for the ribs or pork, my dad really like the chicken. Multiple sauce choices are also nice. If you are getting Togo make sure to call ahead to save time, and you will get more bang for your buck at lunch time. Sweet Tea is pretty good. There is plenty of parking, finding the spot should not be an issue. Note to the restaurant: Fries would be wonderful, chips are gross. Service is typically pretty good.

May be me but the quality of the food seems to have gone WAY downhill lately. It’s also overpriced for what it is. The staff/service has always been extremely good and you can’t beat their peach cobbler. It’s just the food. It’s not cutting it and I don’t even know where to start. My last visit tasted like Sonny’s and cost like Berns. No more HH for me.

Outstanding. Great place. The food is fast and fresh and hot. The potato salad is perfection. The Mac and cheese is good. The ribs are huge with plenty of meat. The real winners are the sauces. Slather them in the bbq sauce and chomp away. I will be back to try other meats for sure.

So I frequented this restaurant since my last review, it had become a family favorite. However, on our last visit we had a horrible experience and I do not think we will be back. We went in to eat, the food was ok(seems like there sides are going downhill though). The potato salad had way too much mayonnaise and the Mac n cheese was very watery. Anyways, we ate and walked back to the parking lot which was now all wet on the ground! We thought this was strange get because it did not rain. We start walking to our car, which now all of a sudden, surrounded by a large puddle. Then the smell hits us … Poop! We were all gaging! A lady was leaving and said she thinks the septic tank is overflowing! The feces water looked like it was flowing from behind the restaurant. The worst part about this is that the servers walk the food outside to take from one building to the next. So the servers are walking through this! 1. Very unsanitary. 2. Workers must have smelled /seen this! Very unsanitary and disappointing.

Kind of mix review… Food presentation and taste was good, but food was cold. I called to try to explain and in very little words, was brushed off. There was no sense of accepting responsibility for food being cold, especially when told that, «it’s not like we put the food in a cold table before you pick it up…». I didn’t know what to say. Sad part of it, is that I always talk good about this restaurant to people in my network. We were going to cater our annual party with them. I guess not.

This is a good olé’ boys BBQ restaurant and one of the best in north Tampa! They have a wide variety of cowboy favorites in large portions. Their BBQ sauce is truly one of the best I’ve ever had and worth bringing home a bottle. The place gets busy on weekends but very tasty and authentic… probably why they’ve been a successful family business for 25 years!

This place has been in Land O Lakes a very long time & for good reason. They always have all you can eat chicken & chicken & pork for 9.99−10.99. The best part is it’s really all you can eat. Want more sides? They do that! Change your sides on reorder? They do that too! More bread & a refill on your drink? You got it! The BBQ chicken is my favorite with the collard greens & Mac n cheese please! Oh & a vanilla peanut butter pie for dessert? Yes pease!

Great barbeque in a relaxed barn atmosphere. What more could you want? The chicken and chopped pork were delicious with the sweet corn casserole! We loved this place and will definitely be back! It’s quick, yummy, and convenient. They even have takeout for lazy nights!

I had Hungry Harry’s at the Spring Land O’Lakes music festival. It was amazing! So glad they were there to provide REAL food rather than just deep friend junk. They had the best potato salad I’ve ever had! True southern style for sure! I had their BBQ pulled pork sandwich, delicious! They had about 8BBQ sauces to pick from. I went with the vinaigrette, and my friend had the sweet and spicy. They were super sweet to make me an Arnold Palmer with lemonade and sweet tea. Their prices were so cheap for vendor food. I can’t wait to visit their location and see what is on their full menu!

Brett clearly says in his review that if you order anything other than the Smoke House Sandwich, he would find it disrespectful. Obviously, I had no choice. I walked in just after 1:00 pm thinking I would miss the lunch crowd, but the place was packed. I actually had to wait a few minutes for a table. Pretty good sign that they’re doing something right. They had the all you can eat chicken and ribs special going on for $ 11.99 I believe, which sounded awesome, but again, I didn’t want to anger Brett. I ordered said Smoke House Sandwich, which really needs a better moniker… something like«The Mighty Pig». It comes with pulled pork, brisket, smoked ham, coleslaw, and bacon. There is no way to pick it up, you gotta go in with fork and knife. It was a darn fine sandwich, and I tried a couple of their BBQ sauces which weren’t too shabby. I also ordered a side of collard greens and a side of sweet corn casserole. Full disclosure: my wife makes a mean corn casserole, although theirs is tasty, I have to give the nod to my wife(because she reads my Unilocal reviews). The collard greens though… the best I’ve had in a long, long time. The service was good, the price was fair, and the food that I tried was great. The only reason I cannot give a five star rating at this time is because I have to try some ribs, chicken, and other sides. Not sure when I’ll make it back, but make it back I shall.

We had a delicious meal one Sunday afternoon with the family. Their new seating area is accommodating for larger parties and we only had a short wait. worth the wait. The brisket was especially delicious fall off the bone, you can eat this brisket with a spoon

This barbecue place is absolutely slammed during the noontime rush. So much that there are actually two buildings for seating. This is a true testament to how good their barbecue is. My big county ribs were fall off the bone. They come out smoked only without barbecue sauce which I actually liked much more than dealing with barbecue sauce all over the place. They have a wide array of sauces that you can add as well. I had a cornbread muffin, Mac n cheese, and baked beans as my sides. They all were a great choice. It came with 5 huge ribs, which I planned on bringing two home for later, but I decided it would make my car smell too much on the ride home and I ate the full meal;).

I lived in Wesley Chapel for roughly 10 years and for some reason never made it to hungry Harry’s. Now that I live in Lutz we had an urge for BBQ one evening and decided to give it a try. Parking was easy and when we entered the restaurant we were greeted from afar with a hello and please seat yourself. The restaurant was not packed but it was certainly busy. Our server was very happy very friendly and extremely accommodating. She brought our menus which double as placemats and suggested that if we were going to get chicken or ribs that we get the all you can eat, because it is the same price as the standard platter. We took her advice and we ordered all you can eat chicken and ribs, and all you can eat chicken with two sides each. The food came out relatively quickly, and everything was yummy as expected. The sides were equally as delicious as the meats. This place looks like a BBQ place should. The people that work here fit the aura as well. And the food is certainly good barbecue! The prices are very reasonable. If you are in this area, are in the mood for BBQ, and want to try something other than one of the big chain barbecue joints, hungry Harry’s is an excellent alternative. Actually hungry Harry’s is an excellent first choice. I highly recommend you give this place a try if you like BBQ.

Cliffs: Please consider other options. Inadequate service. Poor food. NOTBBQ. We placed a pickup order for a Ribs and Pork combo for 2 – 3 people and two large sweet teas. Upon arrival there appeared to be more servers than patrons, despite the small dining room being relatively crowded. Despite this, it took a few minutes of me standing in front of the register to receive any sort of acknowledgement. The food was brought up promptly, however they had packaged an order of Chicken and Pork, not Pork and Ribs. No big deal. Mistakes happen. The girl running the register said she would take care of it, but acted like it was our mistake somehow which put me off slightly. They took the bags back and returned a short time later, changed the ticket to raise the price for the dual pork meal and rang me up. With the two sweet teas, it came to $ 41 and some change.(Wow.) Signed the receipt and went to leave until I realized I didn’t have the drinks. There are five or six servers/employees behind the counter including the one who rang me up, but none of them will give me any attention to ask for the sweet teas. Few minutes and several unanswered«excuse mes» go by and finally someone makes them for me. I arrive home and open the boxes to find not Pork and Ribs but Ribs and Chicken. Maybe that was a good thing, because the ribs were absolutely some of the worst I have ever had in my life. Who knows how bad the pulled pork would have been. As for the ribs, I’m fairly certain these are baked or steamed before being«finished» for maybe an hour in the smoker — if Harry’s even has one. There was hardly any flavor to speak of and the ribs were mushy, not tender from being cooked low and slow. The meat was soft but stuck to the bone still. The chicken was much of the same. Lacking any sort of remarkable flavor. The baked beans were watery. I have had better from a can from the grocery store. They advertise eight different sauces on their sign and menu but with a $ 41 order they only include a pint sized bowl of the regular bland sauce. I guess you must ask for anything else, and I can only assume be charged for it. The coleslaw went into the dog’s bowl, and she didn’t even want it. Complete waste of money and NOT barbecue. Spend your money elsewhere.

I’ve been here once when I was a little kid and even had a friend cater her wedding food from here, but just recently I’ve been going to this restaurant quite often these days. When you’re in the countryside of good olé’ Land O’ Lakes, you must try out this family BBQ place! You can make your order to-go but I usually dine-in. They have a great BBQ menu that offers meat platters, sandwiches, salads, sides, desserts, etc. Their menu is cool, but if you want the most bang for your buck, I recommend you pick from their all-you-can eat options. The meat platters on their menu range from $ 9.99 — $ 23.99 so picking the all-you-can eat option is the better deal! On Sun&Mon: all-you-can eat Chicken and Pork for $ 10.99. On Mon-Wed: all-you-can eat Chicken for $ 9.99 and MYFAVEIS Thurs-Sat: all-you-can eat Chicken and Ribs for $ 11.99. All these all-you-can eat options come with 2 sides. You get refills on your sides and you can even change up the sides! If you still have room for some more, try their desserts! I’ve gotten the Blueberry Cobbler with ice cream on top which was so amazing. I thought that was going to be my favorite dessert here but then I tried the Chocolate Peanut Butter pie and OHMYGOODNESS, ITWASSOSMOOTHANDDELICIOUS! It’s a big slice so sharing is probably best but it is so good that you probably wouldn’t want to share… in that case, you can pack it to-go ;). The price is right, the food is good, and the service is good here. I look forward to more visits and more BBQ from here!

I wrote on their«how are we doing?» slip: «An authentic Southern roadhouse in central Florida.» That sums it up. Okay, I should write more. Because of timing issues, my wife and I celebrated anniversary #11 a few weeks early at a restaurant. And because we’re in north Tampa, we both love barbecue, I want an authentic local’s experience, and the great Unilocal reviews(esp. Sweetie Joanna’s), Hungry Harry’s ended up being the place we went. Okay, it was the American flag painted on the roof that did it. America, bless God. Thursday night, so it’s AYCE chicken & ribs. They lost money on me. The hunny had the sample platter, which included a rib, a piece of chicken, and brisket. Two sides and bread(garlic or corn?), and a large styrofoam glass of Coke(free refills). Prices are normal for barbecue. Served in a wood-paneled room that seats 44, with checkered tablecloths and the wall filled with family pictures and wagon wheels. The only music was the action in the kitchen and the jumbled conversations around you. Servers were fantastic; Sarah is one of the best I’ve experienced, and the rest appeared to be like her. The one-page menu includes ads for local businesses, including Northpointe Church’s «BBQ is proof that God loves us!» Authentic Southern style. Our reviews of the food are the same: Quite tasty. Some of the pieces were moist and juicy, some were dry. Five sauces available, I found the vinegar BBQ to be the best. The sweet corn casserole was my risk of the day, and it was a good risk, with good taste and texture. The hunny couldn’t finish her sample platter, so now her daddy gets the rest :-)(I should add that he’s a lifelong Texan.) I’m in the area for only a week, and Hungry Harry’s is the only BBQ I’ve had, so I can’t comment on how it compares to the others. I’ve had better in California. But if you find yourself in North Tampa and hangry for BBQ, I point you to Highway 41 to eat at Hungry Harry’s.

If you love BBQ, then you MUST add this place to your to do list. I drive 45 minutes just to eat here. You of course must go for lunch, because everyone knows that is when BBQ is best. The story behind this place is fantastic to include their renovations, which they have just finished more recently. Love Love Love this place. When you walk in they will seat you and you choose from a menu that has NOFRIES or Potatoes?! Gasp! But I promise you won’t miss it. I ALWAYS get the Country style ribs and I have yet to be disappointed. They leave several sauces for you to choose from of their own mixing. Your food will come quickly. I have tried all the sides and my favorites are the corn and the corn muffins. Yummmmmmy! You will leave stuffed and most likely not able to finish. But I promise you will love it enough to go back again and again. Parking is never an issue either, and seating there is a second building if needed.

Good BBQ but they run out of tables at lunch because it’s so good here. Go for the all you can eat!

This is the best BBQ I have ever had. I’m not talking about sauces/rubs/whatever — I am talking about the slow cooked meats themselves. Tasty by themselves, they are moist, tender and delicious. And the portions are huge. The meats vary from pork and chicken, to turkey and a moist a and tender beef brisket. I’m not normally a brisket fan — but this one makes a believer out of me! And if you want a sandwich? The Smokehouse Sandwich has all the meats combined with Cole slaw for a mouthwatering taste medley that can’t be beat. Get there early — the seating area in the main restaurant is limited to about 15 tables but the Outhouse across the parking lot has additional bench-style seating. Look for the roof with the American Flag done in shingles. You won’t be sorry.
