Villa Nova West

OMG… all I can say is we should have left when we were given the menus that were caked with old food and dirt. Worst burger I’ve had in decades, sticky old seats, good steam cleaning and paint job needed desperately, horrible men’s room, great waitress but she must have had 15 to 20 tables to take care of so we hardly ever saw her beer served in plastic cups.

I asked to box appetizer up before meal came out, and she forgot half of what was to be boxed up.

This place has good food but when it gets later in the evening the back room for dancing opens up. Turns into a thug bar.

Food is mediocre as well as the service. Plenty of other much better sports bars in lancaster to go to

Mediocre bar food. Good beer, atmosphere, and staff. Good for football games. Order the food after you’ve had some drinks.

where to start, we arrived for football sunday today. we arrived early to get a seat since this place used to get pretty crowded. we were greeted very rudely by the thinner black security guard. he said «i need your ids», no greeting or anything. it was very distasteful. after that, we sat in the back room with a party of 4. our table was very wobbly, which we asked the bartender if we could have something to prop up the one side, she seemed very bothered; but assisted us. she didn’t fix the problem, but said «it will be fine when you sit there»… IT WAS COMPLETELY LOPSIDED! my boyfriend fixed the problem after she left. she was very rude to the table next to us, raising her voice at them because their full party was not there and she took at least 20 minutes to get them their 4 shots. (long brown hair, in a low pony tail. thin 30 something female bartender). our actual server was kind, but had the whole back room to tend to. she tried her hardest, but on football sunday– why are you so short staffed? anyway, we ordered white pizza that came with no garlic and it said it would on the menu. we also ordered cheese fries, which was a large platter but $ 9.00. my parents both got subs, which my dad enjoyed his cheesesteak. i was never impressed with their food, but i never was treated so poorly at an establishment that raves that they welcome present and past customers on their menu. the service from the server again, was decent. she tried the best she could. the female bartender was disrespectful, tasteless in her choice of words to customers, and not willing to help anyone. the security at the door was also tasteless, rude, and made me never want to enter this establishment ever again.

Me and my brother came here to watch a steeler’s game that was not on cable. My biggest complaint was with the service. There was one bartender taking care of about 70 – 80 people, it was just ridiculous, took an hour and a half to get a cold burger and fries, ½ and hour to get a drink. Prices are also very high for the poor quality of food. A root canal would be more pleasant than eating at this establishment again.

Wonderful service, excellent spaghetti bolonese, super place to dine.

This was my first time eating at Villa Nova. My wife and I ordered a large pizza and two side salads on a fairly quiet Wednesday evening with no others in the dining room and about 6 – 8 people sitting around the bar.
SERVICE: Our waitress was very nice, pleasant and attentive. She gets four stars!
ATMOSPHERE: Very low-​key, somewhat dark, neighborhood sports bar feel. Would be a good place for after a softball game or maybe to meet up with friends after work.
SALAD: The salads had very fresh ingredients, but the italian dressing was bitter and not very flavorful. With a different dressing, it could have been just fine.
PIZZA: We ordered a large, half pepperoni and sausage, and half onion and mushroom pizza for about $ 13. What can I say… it was not very good at all. The sauce was almost completely flavorless. Tasted like they just opened a can of tomato purée and dumped it on the pizza without any additional seasonings. It needed garlic, onion, salt… something — just some form of life! Ditto for the crust. Tasted exactly like a saltine cracker without any salt — just a slight flour flavor with no additional taste at all. The pepperoni was adequate, but the sausage was also decidedly bland and under-​seasoned. Lastly, the mushrooms were from a can, so were a bit rubbery and unnatural tasting as you would expect. Overall, we agreed that we have both had worse pizza before (though we couldn’t remember when), but usually when pizza is this poor, it is because it has either been burned, undercooked, or the victim of some other mistake. In this case, the pizza was just so bland as to be almost flavorless, and therefore definitely in the bottom 5% of all pizzas I’ve had in the last 20 years. It will fill you up, and you won’t be disgusted by it, but it is also just completely uninspiring and flavorless. I honestly enjoy Domino’s pizza much more.
I’m sure I’ll go back to try Villa Nova’s burgers or other bar food at some point down the road, and their beer selection looks decent. If the management comes on line and says they have a new sauce and crust recipe, I’d also give it another try, but as of now, it is definitely at the bottom of my list for pizza in Lancaster, PA.

A good place to watch football, many screens (kinda randomly placed in spots) all the games are on. Great wings and I’ve never had a bad sandwich or sub while there. Kinda partial to the calzones (A GOOD VALUE @ $ 8, can feed two people with one). Cosmetically not much of a building to look at from the outside, but a great place to casually watch football and eat some wings.
