To start off I’ve never met a bread i didn’t like until last night. The before dinner roll was so disgusting i wanted to spit it out. But sitting in a higher class restaurant i didn’t feel that was a lady– like option so i literally choked down the bite i took. We ordered The Burger and the Mediterranean Turkey burger with duck fat fries and onion rings. The rolls that the sandwiches were on weren’t very good. Hello Pressroom… lay off the parsley on everything. The onion rings were very good. The med, and fries were overloaded with parsley. If you like parsley, this is the place for you.

We had brunch today and were pleasantly surprised: first, by the ambiance, very open, modern, and friendly(a wonderful change from the previous décor) and second, but the menu, a nice mix of the traditional breakfast items mixed with the lunch items often predominating brunch menus in many restaurants. The service was great! Our waitress was attentive and friendly. My husband had the duck confit hash, but requested fried eggs rather than the poached eggs listed in the menu. Unfortunately, rather than two fried eggs, he received what appeared to be scrambled eggs. He also reported that the hash was salty, which he did address with our waitress. I had the omelet which I requested be made with asparagus, whiskey onions and cheddar. It was excellent. The onions were to die for. I also had a side of bacon: 4 delicious slices, perfectly done. We tried the beniets, they were okay, but I found the dipping sauce lacking in taste and way too thin. Will we return… you bet.

Dinner on a Sunday, new menu. Nice ambience and friendly waiters. The food was OK but not worth the price. I ordered Delmexico(steak with potatoes and zucchini) for a $ 33 price tag(and most expensive dish) expecting a WOW but it was just an OK – not matching the price tag. My fiancé ordered a $ 26 Scallops and Pork Belly, but they didn’t have Pork Belly so they offered hanger steak instead. Again, it was an OK and not a WOW for the price tag. In sum, not a strong place with their meats, maybe their non-meat dishes are better.

Made reservations for New Year’s Eve using open table. Two people at 5PM. Received a phone call from the restaurant that there was a $ 54 per person minimum for dinner. Nothing listed on their website, open table, or Unilocal websites about this. Manager very apologetic but really did not care to honor our reservation. I’m a Lancaster resident and will never eat at that establishment again plus will let all my friends know that they really don’t care about serving the public. If you have exclusions make sure they are published everywhere. Bah humbug Pressroom!!!

My husband and I frequently go here for dinner and drinks. We usually sit at the bar. The bartenders are friendly, helpful and courteous. We always enjoy our experience and food and that is why we always come back. If they ever mess up they figure out a way to make it right. They completely get customer service. The food is made fresh from scratch and never disappoints. They have renovated inside and it looks up– to– date and open. Outside they have a beautiful waterfall and bar. They really have it all. This is a must try place!

Just visited the newly remodeled Pressroom today — it was great! The place is now beautifully designed, food and drinks were excellent and well prepared, and the service was terrific! The service was the main reason we stopped going to The Pressroom a couple of years ago. I guess with the new renovations also came changes to wait staff and service in general. If you stopped going to The Pressroom, or haven’t been since the big revamping, definitely give the place another try … we loved it.

We went here for brunch today! First off, they are renovating… the renovations are new, up-to-date, and modern! The restaurant definitely needed an overhaul to compete with the more modern places in Lancaster. There are now floating booths, modern light fixtures, and rustic high-tops and normal wooden tables. Half of us ordered the Bloody Mary bar and the other half ordered the mimosa bar. The set up was fun! The Bloody Mary bar came with a small carafe of vodka. You can then add as much alcohol as you would like and then go up to the bar to make your Bloody Mary the way you prefer. The bar included, V8, Bloody Mary mix, bacon, celery, pickled veggies, horseradish, etc. The mimosa came with a mini bottle of champagne. The bar included pineapple, pomegranate, orange, and cranberry juice. There were many different types of berries and citrus fruit along with coconut. We really enjoyed the make your own set-up! We ordered the guacamole as a starter. The guacamole was fresh and the tortilla chips were homemade. They had just the right amount of salt and it was the perfect size appetizer. We did ask for the goat cheese on top, but did not receive it. We definitely enjoyed the guacamole without the topping though. I ordered the Traditional Eggs Benedict. The English Muffin was homemade. It was light, fluffy, and had a unique taste that was extremely savory! The poached egg was perfectly cooked with a yolk that spilled out and added extra flavor to the dish. The Canadian Bacon was not traditional, but had a good salty flavor that was not overwhelming. The benedicts come with a side. I ordered the fresh fruit, which came with blueberries, blackberries, cantaloupe, and strawberries. The fruit was refreshing and a nice touch. We shared an order of the crab fries which were on special. They were extremely salty, but not enough to turn us off. The crab dip on top was not overly done with cream cheese and had a great amount of real crab. The french fries were crunchy, but not over done. For dessert we ordered the beingets. They were a bit underdone. When you cut them open the dough was not completely solid, but gooey. The strawberry dipping sauce was delicious and added a nice touch to the cinnamon and sugar topping to the donuts. Overall, we really enjoyed the atmosphere and dining experience. Our server was pleasant and attentive. We had 8 people. They automatically put the tip on which we were surprised with only because we usually tip better than 18%. The bill was high, but we did order a good amount of drinks and food. Each Bloody Mary and Mimosa bar was about two servings per person. We would definitely return. Don’t forget, if you park in the garage, they validate parking!

My boyfriend and I came here for lunch one day in the summer. We sat outside next to the waterfall. It was beautiful! We ordered Moscow Mules and flatbread pizzas. Everything was delicious! The service was also great. They even validate garage parking as long as you order something. I definitely recommend going!

Price, Atmosphere & Service: I think for a good meal at the pressroom you would want to spend a minimum of $ 20. Personally I would just go here for drinks & I have only sat down for dinner once. Their outdoor seating is alluring & creates a great atmosphere to have a meal with someone special or with friends. I went here for my birthday & I think our waitress was respectful & treated us well. I have gone here on Friday nights for drinks & usually they would have live music inside which I find enjoyable. Food: Their duck fat fries were not what I anticipated. I’ve had duck fat fries at Pour & Federal Taphouse & I like the fries at these other places better. I think due to other experiences of duck fat fries with garlic aioli, I was disappointed. I had their Brick Chicken Situation which was delicious. I enjoyed every moment. The chicken had a flavorful crispy skin & the meat was tender & juicy. This dish was perfect. I am only giving a glimpse of what I think of two items on their menu. Overall, it was a pleasant experience & I left full :)

Went here for an early lunch on Thursday. Our server, Morgan, was very friendly and hospitable. The restaurant has a very«Old Hollywood» vibe going on. Only downfall was that the food could have been a tad bit better for the price.

Soooooo slowwwwwww. They said homemade but I didn’t know they still needed to kill the cow and pick the veggies. Not sure how the food is. We have been here an hour and I have yet to see any food yet. Oh, update. Just got rolls. One silver dollar sized roll for each of us, mmmmmm. If you ever make it in here stop on by and say hi, we will still be waiting on dinner. Food came. Really, it was good. Come here to enjoy a not so quiet evening with good food but not in a hurry.

Was here for brunch, sort of disappointing. Service was good, was not blown away by the food. Have been here for other meals that were much better. I would come back for lunch or dinner, but will not return for brunch. Their pizza and duck fat fries are wonderful btw.

So despite my earlier predictions in my first review, I have been back — a couple of times. Each time, the experience gets better and my expectations are not as high. Last visit was a few days ago. We took three employees to the Pressroom for lunch. One of them was in a wheelchair, and the host went out of his way to set up a table in the upper deck(furthest from the fountain) outside, as the lower deck near the fountain is all high tops. It was a hospitable gesture. Our sandwiches were all very good. Linse had The Shiloh and I had the Melted Cow. Several of us enjoy the tasty duck fat fries as well. The service was very good, but my water glass went empty a few times and I had to wait for refills. The ambience inside and outside has character. I still haven’t forgiven the Pressroom completely for our first experience, but I’ll be happy to return again when I’m in town.

Veeerrrrrryyyy pleasantly surprised. This place rivals the goodness of Chicago restaurants… only better in a way, because of the AMAZING crab. Omg the crab bisque was probably up there with some of the best I’ve EVER had. I also had the crab cake which was phenom. I have to get as much crab as possible when I’m back east, ya feel me?! So if I can take a little diversion from the food for a moment. We sat outside next to the beautiful waterfall and fountain. What a great way to enjoy a great meal with a great friend! Ok, back to food… my friend got the salmon with fresh asparagus and corn risotto. I don’t even have words for how delicious it was. It was a truly special and truly delicious selection. And did I mention the server? Gosh Incant remember his name but I loved him. I think it was Ryan or something like that. My honey got a burger. It was ok. Grant it, we have some damn good burgers in the Chi and that’s really tough to beat. We’re spoiled for sure. Desserts were good. Nothing to scream about, it over all, a lovely experience for sure.

I’m writing this review, as I have been waiting 40 minutes for a burger and fries. The table that ordered at the same time as I, have finished their meals. The two tables adjacent to me, that arrived 20+ minutes after me, both have food on their tables(one tabled order a pizza which takes more time to bake, than it takes a burger to cook). The waitress stopped by once after taking my order, moments before I started this review, to tel me Thai my food would be out momentarily. While you’re patio is delightful, then efficiency of your food service; is less than delightful.

I stopped by here years ago for dinner one night and remember it being a fun place; unfortunately, it appears I never wrote a review. Fast forward to last Saturday when my fiancée’s mom and I were walking around downtown and decided we wanted to do an early happy hour. They have a gorgeous outside seating area and new bar that opens up to a waterfall(I’d say water feature but it’s pretty large). Our bartender was incredibly nice and gave us great cocktail suggestions. We both chose a bellini with their hand-squeezed flavored lemonade; mine was blueberry, hers was strawberry-kiwi. Definitely a refreshing drink! Slightly sweet but overall very good. We ordered a small Funghi pizza, which had mushrooms, arugula, and truffle oil. We splurged and also added the duck confit. The pizza was great and the perfect size to share for a small bite. Overall, I would come back for the atmosphere and what looked like pretty creative dishes. Hope to try more of their menu soon!

I’ve periodically gone to «The Pressroom» off-and-on over the years. There’s honestly been nothing particularly compelling(for me) about the place. Sure, it’s a nice bar with a lot of history associated with the Lancaster Intelligencer Journal, but the food and the service has simply always been adequate, if and when not occasionally outstanding. The inside bar is nice. This is a well-established place, not too run-of-the-mill and not too fancy, on the part of King St. downtown that’s seen some new places pop-up in the past couple of years. But… The winner part of this place is that they have opened an outside bar by the waterfall in back that, I can say, was an absolutely outstanding place to sit and spend part of a near-perfect«First Friday» the other night. I’m not sure when exactly this opened(or if it’s always been there and I just never realized it), but well done! It was a tad crowded this past Friday, but there were plenty in attendance from Lancaster’s thinner and more attractive crowd that night. The craft beer selection was good and, the service was equally«good» considering how busy it was. I truly enjoyed stopping by there, having eaten out back in the past, to be able to enjoy the evening. On nights like this past Friday I think they should maximize this part of their business, as it is one of the nicer places to be in all of downtown Lancaster.

I came here on a Friday night with a friend for some live music, food, & brews. The first time I’d ever been, considering I’m from out of town and whatnot. The beer selection was great. The menu seemed like it had a lot of good things. I ended up getting a spinach, bacon, & goat cheese salad which was excellent. However, you can’t really mess that up. My dining partner ordered the vegan spaghetti and enjoyed it immensely. For dessert, we had a pumpkin cheesecake and it was excellent. Our server was very friendly and personable. Food and drinks did not take long to reach the table. It was an all around enjoyable evening.
