Michael D. Antonovich Antelope Valley Courthouse

The Courthouse is very peculiar to start with compared to say, the Hill St. Courthouse, which is very efficient. The Clerks practice too much law at the filing windows. They don’t file as much as they do legal consultations at the «filing windows». This Courthouse has too many personnel changes and too many ad hoc policies and procedures that change without notice. The Courthouse gets bogged down because of all the legal consultations at the «filing windows» while the line builds up. The phone service is adequate but the phone hours are far too limited for a service population of over 500,000 people. The Clerks also let attorney services file more than one filing at a time– some of them, depending on their relationship with the Clerk at the window, let them file 4, 5, 6 fee based filings. Again, this bogs everything down at the window. I have been going threw this Court since 2004-​, great cafeteria, Sheriff’s Civil Window very efficient.

This place sucks. The workers never come on time and then they act like your stupid. They always fail to explain things and they are complete idiots. I really hate coming here dealing with these people but I only do so because I absoletly have to. If i had a choice I would totally go somewhere else but unfortunately I am unable to. The wait times are ridiculous and getting a date takes a super long time just to do. I hate this over priced court house and wish they would use the money to hire more workers because the amount that they have just isn’t enough. Its ridiculous how much court fees cost. These fees are to damn high just for no reason at all. I don’t understand how this is even legal that they have such high fees.

Impossible to set up a court date by phone! They refuse to do it. So you have to show up at 7:30 a.m. at the front entrance and rush to the clerk’s window. Then they send you to a court room in the basement where you have to see a judge just to set up a court date! Insane! Never heard of this type of procedure. They are really nasty on the phone, too. They treat everyone like dog vomit!

Easy parking, no lines, but the division clerks don’t answer their phones…

No line for a traffic court citation payment, in and out in 3 minutes! All time record for me… haha nice place too

Of course I’m only going to give this place one star hahaha why would anyone leave a good review for this place LOL
