This is a great place for fresh food fast. It’s reasonably priced and they have a great kids menu.

Not sure where the bad reviews came from. I have eaten here several times now and never had rudeness or bad anything. The new owner was charming, his staff courteous, and the food came with no surprises. I like their coffee and the pleasant clean atmosphere of the place. Chicken on my salad was a bit tough. May have needed to be cut into thin strips. I also would love to see an option to «make your own salad» that included nuts or seeds with no salts or sugars. Still, my overall experiences have been positive.

The counter staff was pleasant and accommodating. I ordered the A1 cheeseburger and the greek salad with chicken. It was the equivalent of fancy museum lunch counter fare. The packaging, taste and appearance equivalent to something I could have easily ordered in the dining hall next door. Not sure where the farm is located, but i could almost taste the bag that the undercooked frozen french fries came from. The only reason this isnt a one star review: the counter staff was pleasant and accommodating.

If you have to eat Gluten Free this is a great place! They have new owners and a NEW extensive Gluten Free menu, just ask them for it! They were very good about making sure my meal was gf and took every precaution! When he served me my meal he assured me my sandwich was on gf bread! My daughter had a regular wrap and she enjoyed that! Everything was made to order & even the French fries were nice and fresh not sitting around for someone to order them! Also available was a gluten free butternut squash soup I think he said they will have a gluten free soup available every day! It’s so nice to be able to go out and have a nice gluten free meal with out the worries! I truly appreciate all they do to accommodate gluten free! We will defiantly go back! I’m so happy we stopped in!

My boyfriend’s parents had given us a $ 20 gift certificate to Fresh Farms Café, so we decided to use it for lunch this weekend. It was our first time there, but I had been excited to check it out for a while! Firstly, the person at the register was miserable. Her entire approach to taking our order came off as if she would have rather been anywhere else. She also didn’t seem to know what she was doing. My boyfriend asked to sub his side on his sandwich for a bowl of soup(even if there is an up-charge, that’s fine), and she just responded by saying«We normally don’t do that. What side do you want?» He then proceeded to order a side, and said«And, I’ll have a bowl of the soup, then, too.» She took our order and we used the gift certificate. There was still a few dollars on the gift certificate, and when we asked her if we could have it back, she said we had to spend the whole amount on the certificate. If we didn’t, then we just had to surrender it. That sounded kind of strange, but not beyond the realm of possibilities, so we just sat down to wait for our food. After we get our sandwiches, my boyfriend went back to ask for his soup. She looked confused and said«I didn’t ring that up as part of your order, so you have to pay for it.» But wait a second– he very clearly asked for the soup during his order AND the amount of money on the certificate would have covered his bowl of soup as well. When we brought that up, she said«I can’t pay for it that way. You need to pay for the soup or you can’t have it.» Since it was only $ 5, and we didn’t want to raise a stink about it, we let it go and paid for the soup with cash. It is definitely annoying that we shouldn’t have had to pay for the soup if she would have rung up our order the way we stated. The food itself was bland and pretty tasteless. I got the veggie panini, which has mozzarella cheese, spinach, roasted veggies, and pesto. Pesto is a strong flavor, but I could barely taste it. The whole sandwich just tasted like toasted bread. There was a small square of mozzarella in the middle of the sandwich(about one quarter the size of a deck of cards). My boyfriend got the turkey reuben panini. The turkey tasted dry, and the russian dressing sauce on the sandwich had a strange after taste. His soup(Lobster Bisque) tasted just ok, but was also kind of thin and runny. When someone advertises a bisque soup, you assume it will be on the creamier side. I also ordered a coffee and waited until the end of my meal to pour my coffee because it was brewing the whole time we ate(which is fine, because we did go around noon, and I hope that they would make fresh coffee at that point in the day, anyway). I only drank about 1⁄3 of my medium coffee, because at that point I took a sip and my whole mouth was filled with coffee grounds with about 2⁄3 left in my cup. I threw the rest away. In summary, I will not plan to ever go back there. The staff was rude and sat around gossiping(loudly!) with each other near the register and the food was subpar.

Wish I could give a ½ star more. Generally good and pleasant. Wonderful coffees. Spouse and I had southwestern bfst wraps(good). Offspring had margarita flatbread(meh) and fries(yum). Service was attentive and prompt.

Went in last week for lunch and can not stop thinking about this place. If it wasn’t 60 miles away I’d go at least once a week. I had a panini which is served on some of the best bread I’ve ever had. Service was great! I was with my mother who has a few dietary restrictions and she was totally covered. The new owners told us that they will soon have many more gluten free options since one of them has Celiac disease and must eat gluten free. The students on campus are lucky to have this place so close with WiFi, great coffee, and food that won’t pack on the ol’ freshman fifteen.

My husband and I moved within walking distance of this place in July. We’ve been approximately 5 or 6 times since, out of sheer convenience(whether just grabbing a coffee on a Sunday or needing some more substantial food). This place isn’t fancy, but I think it’s a solid 4-star establishment. It’s nice and bright and café-esque. As someone else mentioned, I think it’s under new management, the coffee is always hot and strong, and their service has been really good the handful of times I’ve been there. The breakfast sandwiches aren’t too shabby either.

My partner and I came in for some lunch the other day and had a very nice, relaxing time with some great food. My partner had the chicken & crab wrap and he loved it. I had the Napa Valley Salad and it was fabulous. The staff were friendly, fast, and accommodating. The atmosphere was relaxing and the meal was affordable. We were able to hang out and enjoy ourselves with a great cup of coffee after our meal. I will definitely be back to try more menu items.

While looking for a «healthier» option to eat at yesterday(with a relaxed atmosphere, café style, work/wifi friendly in the Lancaster area, but not Panera Bread) Unilocal suggested this establishment. I was deterred by the lower star rating but the first review I read said it was under NEWOWNERSHIP. Sounds promising right? AND my close friend Groupon just so happens to have a sweet deal for this place. So I thought this was the best time to give it a try! It was three quarters full when I arrived around 12:30pm on a Wednesday. There were a few open seats scattered around.(Fyi, there is outside seating also.) I got in line about five customers away from the checkout. The employees were moving at a consistent pace to keep the line dwindling. The noise level was average. There was music playing in the background at a reasonable volume. And the cool temperature was refreshing since it was about 90 degrees outside. Ordering was quick and easy. The staff was friendly and showed good teamwork. I had the egg white and veggies panini without the bread. So basically an omelette. And an iced coffee to go, which you pretty much make yourself at the fountain area which is nice. I sat in comfy chairs by large windows and waited for my name to be called. No more then 6 minutes later my order was ready. But the atmosphere was so pleasant and since I had work I could do, I sat for two hours eating and working. My food was delicious! The various flavors and textures were very appetizing. The egg whites were cooked to my liking and each vegetable had its distinct flavor all sautéed up with melted provolone on top. I would definitely recommend coming here for simple, clean noms. I enjoyed my experience here so much that I came back the next day and ordered the same thing(egg white/veggie omelette) and a chai tea. If you were here once before and did not have a positive experience I would highly suggest you give Fresh Farms another try!

I went there for breakfast and was not impressed. The guy running the cashier was clueless and disorganized. It took 10 minutes for him to get my order right. Food was okay but service was awful.

Had the pleasure of having lunch at Fresh Farms yesterday! The food was delicious! And the restaurant was squeaky clean. I had the turkey burger and it was full of flavor, not dry at all! The best part is the free frozen yogurt with your meal! Can’t wait to go back with my kids :)

Very good coffee — I’ve had caramel and vanilla lattes that taste great. I ate here once. I got a salad and it tasted great, but that evening I had an awful stomach ache. At the time I thought I caught a bug, so it didn’t scare me off. About a month later, my office ordered lunch from here. One of my coworkers ordered a flat bread. When it was chewy and a bit dry, she looked at the bottom and there was mold. :(she did call and they did offer to give her a coupon, but she did not want to risk it again. I will say this was about a year ago — so things definitely could have changed since then. I’ve since ordered drinks and they’ve been wonderful, but I am hesitant to eat here again.

Fresh Farms has good intentions but hasn’t quite solidified itself as a restaurant yet and it’s very obvious that they are still very unorganized. I also noticed that the whole experience was very unprofessional. The employees rudely yelled sarcastic jokes and comments to each other right in front of customers. The food is okay but a little overpriced. Overall I would say that Fresh Farms is a less qualified Panera.

Wow. Tried again, thinking something must have improved, but no. Walked down to the restaurant at 730am, because when I googled it, the site comes up as being open at 7am. Turns out they are closed until 830am. There are people inside, and when I called they apologized in a non-apologetic tone, and said they already know about the hours being wrong online and sounded annoyed at me. Like I’m the jerk for expecting them to be open when they say they are. Sheesh.

I really want to like this place. It has a lot of appeal based on the menu that it offers. However the service that I get is terrible. It took about 20 minutes for them to fill a 4 item to go order. And two of the items were smoothies. They flat out forgot to make one the smoothies and I had to remind them twice that I needed it. The food was okay but the smoothies are just made from a mix with ice.

Came here yesterday with my father who had an appointment in Lancaster and he wanted to try this place. As my father is using a walker and not very mobile, I checked the reviews to see if anyone mentioned gluten free and Jerry B wrote they have gf options, so we decided to check it out. They were busy(9 people in line before us and others starting to line up behind us.) and there was one girl working the register and a guy in the kitchen. I asked the girl at the register what was gf and she looked at me funny. If my dad could have walked to Iron Hill, I would have made a break for it. I asked if the Waldorf salad was gf and she said the chicken wasn’t gf and I should try the trio salad without the chicken and they also have flatbreads that are gf. I asked what the flatbread options were, she turned and asked the guy in the kitchen if they had flatbreads. He yelled«No» without looking up. He seemed very stressed and at one point, during our order, he yelled«Stop!» and grabbed the girl at the register and brought her back to the kitchen to ask her about an order. I took a glance at the kitchen while standing there, there was food all over the floor, boxes strewn everywhere and the grill etc. looked like it needed to be thoroughly scrubbed. My order was called about 20 minutes later and my salad had the chicken on top. I asked why was there chicken on the top and the girl shrugged. I asked for a refund. She told this to the guy in the kitchen and came out and asked why. I told him she said the chicken was not gf that was sitting on my salad and he said«I wasn’t aware chicken wasn’t gluten free. Since when is mayonnaise and chicken not gluten free?» Oy Vey. I confirmed that everything in the salad was gf and there was no chance of cross contamination(I had asked this when ordering and she said the salad was made in a clean bowl). I told him I would get sick so I want to be sure. He rolled his eyes and said it was fine. I ate the chicken on top and it was oddly sweet and bland. My fathers said his chili and wrap were bland as well. I should have known better, I became ill from the salad. The bottom line is that if you are a Celiac, don’t bother eating here. They don’t give a shit anyway.

The food was good, and we got our food quickly. The people acted like they would rather be doing anything but being there, though. There was a lady at the register and a man standing there, and they both were almost rude. I see other people have had the same experience. It’s sad because it’s a great idea for a restaurant in a great location.

Mmmm bland and overpriced served with a side of deceptive marketing. Run by incompetent employees who don’t look like they give a f* about preparing quality food. Look elsewhere for anything edible.
