OK, it is now Chuck Mosman’s Country Steakhouse and Bar. It has been refurbished, old carpet is out, lots of new tile and wood. The look is still old western country but much more in tune with today’s time. The concrete stone firetables in the large outer room incased with bottom to top windows is still a fabulous feature. And I think the other rooms with the fireplaces and western décor have a great ambience also. The new menu has many fine selections, I know the half rack of ribs, house salad and twice baked potato were considered fantastic.

The service was terrible. Only one waitress in the restaurant. My daughters chicken was completely raw in the middle, the burgers were way to over done. They charged us for the raw chicken that we sent back. Will not be going back

We have gone many times and each time is got and miss. A few times they tried to serve us a rib eye stating it was a porter house. My, husband knows his steaks. Its good every once in a blue, moon and the fact the AV doesn’t have a really good steak house puta them ahead of the game but my dish I get every time is the steak Diane love it.

This is a good place to have a party. My friends liked their steaks and the services is above average. The seating in the patio area can accommodate large groups. This is a place my friends go to frequently and they love it. The owner is onsite and available to talk with customers.

Wow, an hour and a half later, hardly a customer in the place and never got our dinner! Waitress was ridiculous. Had to write down our drink order and ask us twice about it. Ahhh, you only have us and the other table to handle. Problem??? When I ordered ribs, she asked How I wanted them done. Ahhh… cooked??? What kind of question is that? Used to go here all the time. But, never again.

I was so turned off by this place. I ordered the chicken cordon blu. It was the kind you can buy at the grocery store for $ 1. It was cold and smothered in a gelatinous salty sikly yellow sauce. The teeny tiny backed potato was cold. The three slices of shoestring sized asparagus was over spiced and cold and the bread was cold and hard. I waited over 45 mins and I payed $ 20 for this meal. Such a disappointment. I will not be going back.

We have always wanted to try this place. The outside is a little plain and might ward off potential customers. They offer a decent variety of steaks, chops, ribs and fish, the service was very friendly. The overall experience was what I expected and that was good. We shared a filet and taco salad with a bruschetta appetizer. All really good. Will be back to try the ribs!

NEVERCOMINGBACK! Made reservations for 22 people to celebrate my birthday, spoke DIRECTLY to the owner. We were seated on the patio. Only one waitress for our group PLUS the indoor tables. It took 1−½ hours for half of the people to get their meals, and 2 hours for the rest. We had to get our own drinks. This is unacceptable! He should have scheduled at least two more servers. But no… it’s all about the money. Matter of fact, service is always slow but this time was the absolute worst. Never coming back, including all 22 people who attended the party. I had to add at least one star to post this. But I is give it a big ZERO if I could.

Been going for a long time. Food quality and service has been going down hill for a while. Went last night to give it one more shot… Negatory! Asked for med steak, came to us raw almost. All of our meat was very under cooked to our requests. Service was mediocre. Only a couple of tables so service should have been better. Won’t go back. Getting Prime Steak from Costco and BBQ ourselves next time. Ohhhh heater broke in back part of resturant. And Tapatio and Tabasco sauce was brown. ??? A little old maybe?

Been coming to this place for a while now and I’ve always had good service and good food but this last time was not so hot. My wife and I waited about 5 minutes to sit down which is great but that was the only good thing this dinning experience. When we were seated we both asked for water with lemon, we got our water minus the lemon and it took 3 additional times to ask with 3 different waitresses. We finally ordered our food and got our lemon(thank you). I ordered the stuffed salmon and my wife got the steak diane, ordered the twice baked potato along with dinner salads. Got out salads but we have no silverware to actually eat our food. Again it took 3 seperate times to get a fork so I can eat my salad. Once the food arrived, the presentation was decent but that’s where taste is key. My salmon was real dry and a little over cooked. My wifes steak was a little too rare(bleeding on the plate) for her taste even though she ordered medium well. I also noticed that they must of hired new waitresses that didn’t know what they were doing or were not trained properly. There is more but enough rambling here. If we venture back again, I will update/modify my review.

I was totally disappointed in the food = so disappointed although we planned to have a full dinner we stopped at the appetizers — the shrimp cocktail was the worse — the shrimp seemed as though they were straight from Albertson’s meat department with tomato paste as the sauce on a bed of shredded lettuce… DON’T DOTHIS!!! the chips and salsa served when we sat down were BLAND i mean the chips were stale and the salsa was not flavorful at all — needed alot of salt to bring out the slight flavor so a suggestion would be again Alberston’s deli for the salsa and you will receive a better review… please take this suggestion… moving on to the previously well reviewed stuffed mushroom — well they seemed to have been previously frozen and i say that because they were cold in the middle — the center should not be cold if the mushrooms were stuffed with fresh ingredients. the sauce was a little thick and as you see it in other pictures it looks when served — similar to yellow liquid acrylic. finally we have the escargot — i must be honest and say that i am a fan of this delicacy and enjoy the light garlic flavors that most chefs would ascertain by sauteing in a butter and garlic reduction. then generally topped with a sauce maybe garnished with fresh herbs — BUTNOTHERE… instead they socked the microwaved escargot in a heavy butter sauce drowned with bottled chopped garlic then sprinkled with dried parsley or something. bad idea — take off menu if you don’t know how to prepare — people will get the wrong impression of this wonderful delicacy. so now let’s talk about the service!!! THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU … the waitress at first we were a little concerned because of previous reviews which said service sucked but food was good — we went for the great food expecting horrible service but got just the opposite!!! we found her to be quite wonderful — great taking out order and responsive to each of our request. our orders were delivered quickly so we quickly came to the conclusion that it was not her fault that the escargot and mushrooms to have cold centers. our waitress had a great knowledge of the menu :) THEDRINKS… the waitress and bartenders are the reason why you have received 2 stars they were awesome and actually had to come to us and apologize for not having the ingredients for ordered drinks — please as an establishment unless you are in the middle of a rush that you could not anticipate — then DON’T RUNOUT of basic ingredients… the bartenders personality was awesome and i would hire her for a private party or event anytime — she was very knowledgeable and gauged her customers and what they desired well… we even decided that if we had ordered our food at the bar the experience may have been better… we may return for drinks but not the food! at least not the three items we formally tried — the idea of the steak diane remains tempting and i would love to update and upgrade this review… yes we will try one more time next week

My hubby and I were craving a good steak and wine. We waited 5 minutes to be seated. One of the servers was not in a good mood. She sat us down and walked away… nothing said! We waited 20 minutes when we decided to leave. The other waitress walked out with salads and apologized! Only 3 tables were occupied… not busy at all!

This has got to be one of my new fav steak houses. Pulling up to this restaurant, I thought it was going to be small,… But looks can be deceiving. This place was a lot bigger than it appeared. The servers were absolutely fantastic, & each server makes it a point to check on you, regardless of whether or not you’re their table. My steak was wonderfully tender & cooked to perfection. I chose the twice baked potato as my side & was completely satisfied. The prices were about average for a steak house, but the portions were well worth it. I had more than enough to take home for later, & even some for my dog! Foxy’s is located towards the outskirts of town, not too far from the prison. Without a doubt, I can see now, why everybody makes the drive out there. One of the antelope valley’s hidden gems!!!

I’ve eaten here several times over the years. The food has always been very good — the steaks are large and the sides are always lovely. The name has changed — growing up in the Antelope Valley this was known as «The Way Out Inn’ — and the name was appropriate. It is out on the west side of town. There’s a full bar and a lot of regulars go there for drinks. The décor is rustic and perhaps a little dated, as some people have mentioned — but that probably has to do with the fact that they have been there for @ 40 years, maybe even longer. But my Dad took me there when I was a kid. I liked the ambiance, it’s a steakhouse. It’s not trendy or glitzy and I am glad that it has retained some of it’s original character. Besides the service is friendly and the food is very tasty. They have entrees besides steak — with lamb, chicken, seafood and there are soups and salads, as well.

I had my LA loving and living sister and brother-in-law come up for dinner back in April. She said she wanted steak, and with them being major foodies there was no way I was taking them to Sizzler. I hopped on Unilocal and found the review for this place. It was clear across the other side of town in the middle of nowhere, but we headed on over. At first we were a little confused — it didn’t look anything like a steakhouse, just a run down desert bar. We go inside and the atmosphere is totally different. I can’t say that the décor is highly chic — I didn’t feel as if I was underdressed in my jeans and converse. It really looks like just a house that was renovated into a dining area. Being steak lovers, my sister and I ordered our(HUGE) steaks, my husband had salmon and my brother in law had some sort of stew or something. Overall, I have to say it was surprisingly good. Even my sister and brother-in-law were somewhat impressed. It’s always good to find a little hole in the way that is different than the generic chains around the shopping mall. Our waitress was very attentive of us(at the time, there weren’t many people, but there were more as the night got later) and very friendly. It was all very comfortable. If I’m not able to make it out of the valley for some good steak, I’ll definitely be coming back here again.

I really liked this place. The steak was prepared perfectly. You know its a good steak when you don’t need steak sauce. The portions were huge also! The service was pretty slow, but the food more than made up for it.
