Forced by the sudden retirement of my long time ophthalmologist I was suddenly in the market for a new doctor. Of course insurance plays a huge role in who I ultimately went with, as does location and one stop shopping which lead me here. I was due for a field visions test and just had a complete exam 2 weeks prior. I explained when I made the appt that I wanted field testing done. Again when I showed up I stressed that was the ONLY reason for my visit. First impressions were not the greatest. The waiting room was packed. I don’t know if it was just me but it seemed like a lot of the conversations were l-o-u-d and annoying. Took over 45 minutes to get called back. The«assistant» looked at my eyes with the equipment and did some general sight tests. These are things my previous doctor would have done himself. When I questioned her she said the doctor just makes the«decisions». I felt a little cheated that my $ 45 co-pay would be spent for a visit with someone with a 2 year degree. However once the doctor came in, a good 10 – 15 minutes later, he repeated what she had done and reviewed my chart and was more thorough in his questioning and explanations. However, despite telling the office staff when I scheduled the reason for my visit they failed to schedule me accordingly and another visit and $ 45 co pay is required. I was happy with the service I received from him, but clearly some miscommunication in the office. We also discussed how my chart was incomplete as my retiring doctor didn’t send my entire chart. I immediately called that doctors office the next day only to be told that they had everything ready to go and contacted the new office for delivery instructions and was told they only wanted the past three visits and no test results, etc So far some flaws with the office staff. Only time will tell if this practice is a keeper.

Set up an appointment for my son. After telling us he had issues they then told us that despite taking the appointment they don’t work with children there was nothing that could be done and that we should just wait a year and take him to another doctor. Obviously unsatisfied I did some research on what they said his issues are and it appears there are numerous avenues of treatment for the very problems they diagnosed. Called back and the doctor refused to speak with me on the phone. Essentially they were very happy to take our money and then ignore us. If integrity and competence are what your after I would steer clear of these people.
