Felt good about this about at first but ended up extremely disappointed.
I went in to get my clip in extensions blended in to my natural hair, Brandi assured me she had worked with the specific brand as well. The color was also off my natural color so I wanted it one solid tone. She recommended against dying the extensions but I didn’t want to lighten my natural hair color at all. I preferred to go darker brown like my natural color or black.
She dyed the tips of my hair because there were still a little blonde from the previous year, it blended fine with my natural hair but not the extensions.
She said once she blended it, it would be fine.
It took FOREVER for her to clip in the extensions, it had to have been at least 30 minutes, when on average should only take 10.
I had gotten a lot of hair, and very long. She took off too much and thinned them out, that was upsetting considering that hair was very expensive and doesn’t grow back.
It also did not blend at all with my hair.
I spent 4 hours in total in that chair. It was too long in my opinion, when I didn’t even get a full dye job or haircut. It also cost $ 90… I paid but it was not money well spent.
She styled it and it actually looked worse when styled.
I ended up dying my own hair with box dye, and the extensions as well, plus getting more extensions and blending them myself.
After that, it was perfect.
I will say that despite everything, she was very sweet and talkative.
I just would not recommend her for blending extensions.

I haven’t had a chance for a trim and color in about five months, due to some crappy circumstances going on in my life. Wednesday was the first time I used my hair straightener in months, could not believe how amazing my cut still looked. It’s takes an amazing stylist to give a perfect haircut that the style stands up for 5 months. Trust me, I lived in the valley for 25 years and the stylist I used were supposedly the best of the best. Between 6 week trims my hair style didn’t stand up this well.
Iam counting the days until I can get my circumstances back to norm… And get in there for my color and trim. Brandi is a rock star!!! Book an appointment and I guarantee, your gonna be happier with her then anyone in Palmdale or Lancaster. Plus she is a delightful, warm caring person with a big smile.

Amazing stylist, colorist and cutter! FULLY understands and implements the meaning of «trim». Does an amazing job at unbeatable prices! Great personality with good conversation to follow. I went from dark burgundy to light brown and blonde ombré with highlights. It came out amazing and you can view it in her pictures. I highly recommend Brandi Shutt at new waves salon!

OK I’m extremely picky about my hair and it can be quite an issue and uproar when I am unhappy, but Brandi seriously made me so freakin happy! I had an overall great experience. My cut was exactly how I wanted it and she actually LISTENS. I love my hair!
