After our trip out to Poppy Reserve, decided to stop for lunch. Great Mexican restaurant, best salsa and home made chips.

First time here after hearing great reviews from many friends. This place did not disappoint. Had the Chile Verde(pork) and a carnitas taco and both were great. Service was great! I can’t wait to go back a couple more times before deciding if this is the best Mexican restaurant in the high desert.

A bit of a disappointment THIS time, the food was great as it was last time but the staff was rather cool, no warmth at all, saw 3 different people 1 each time, quick… cold. Margarita was only fair, any tequila? 4 stars for the food.

The food here is amazing. Every item we’ve tried has been excellent. The Chicken Club Quesidilla is the best! The soups are great, too. The outside of restaurant is not something you’ll look twice at, but the inside is surprisingly nice. Wood logs on walls, authentic décor. The margaritas are made, I believe, with that agave sweetner, but good. Good beer. Good prices. You won’t leave hungry!

HORRIBLESERVICE. My 3 friends and I went here and 2 people ordered to split between us. the waiter wanted to charge 3.00 $ extra for chips because only 2 people ordered(we planned on sharing) horrible service extremely rude don’t come here. to top it off, they only gave us 2 mints. DONOTCOMEHERE. food is good though but I will never come back.

I love this place, best Mexican food in the AV! Their carnitas burrito is bomb! And their Margaritas are excellent! If you haven’t eaten here, you gotta try it, seriously!

Came here on a recommendation from a friend and was happily impressed! It WAS out in the middle of no where but honestly, it was a nice drive. From the outside it doesn’t look like much but the food was great! My husband and I got 2 giant(and I mean GIANT. The portion size was crazy!) plates and a single side and we were both stuffed without finishing our plates. The food was delicious and the staff super friendly. We spent a little under $ 30

Solid spot — homey, cozy and warm. Great salsa, great service, amazing and big tacos de carne asada. Kind of in the middle of nowhere, which adds to the appeal.

Ok we eat alot of mexican food. We have eaten at all the local restaurants, but this one by far is the best food we have ever eatin in the antelope valley. Tamales taste like corn bread, the food is just spot on. Service was great. From the outside doesnt look appealing but when you walk through those doors. Wow!!! 5 stars best mexican food in the av!!!

This place is amazing. The cozy little Mexican restaurant is out of the way and off the beaten path. A bit away from my house but always worth the drive. The food is consistent in quality and the service is good. I wish the fried Ice cream was served without the outer shell because it is chewy. I also wish this place was bigger. These minor complaints are overshadowed by some of the best Mexican food I have ever tasted.

I’m sorry but I have to take off a few stars because one of the waitress is a bit uncomfortable to talk to. Since we’ve been there half a dozen times already, she feełs way too comfortable around us and some of her conversations are a bit inappropriate. Also, I ordered the fried ice cream and that stuff came out of a silver package. The ice cream was never fried in batter but is a preserved piece of something in a package. Kinda like space food. I know for a fact because I saw her take the package, cut it open and as soon as she realized that I saw her, she quickly hid it and rushed to the back kitchen to prepare it(put whip cream and icky chocolate drizzle and a stale cherry). I’m sorry to say that coming from a family that owned and ran restaurants growing up, that is just sad.

Don’t let the Bates Motel exterior and the flattened rural roadkill around this restaurant fool you. If you want to go for an exciting excursion on the outskirts of North Western Palmtucky, this is definitely the place. Excellent food and service at a reasonable price and the interior is nicely remodeled. I go back as much as I can. Worth the drive! Don’t forget to do «Musical Road» on the way there(3187 W. Ave. G, Lancaster, ca 93536)

When you think you’ve reached the middle of nowhere, you keep going and end up on the otherside of nowhere. A community that shouldn’t be there with a restaurant that shouldn’t be this good BUTDAMNWELLIS! This place has some of the BEST mexican food in California. It was worth the trip from the freeway and more. From the crispy chips and perfectly spicy salsa to the steak fajita tostada and the chili verde pork… AMAZING!!! The service was wonderful and you should Karen what her favorite is cause she definitely pointed us in the right direction. YOUMUSTSTOPATTHISPLACEIFYOULIKEMEXICAN. Take it from a girl whose part Mexican and knows good refried beans and rice when she has it. This is a Must before you die.

Great service, salsa, and food. This place is out of the way, but worth the detour. It features a friendly and attentive wait staff and great salsa and warm chips when you arrive. The carnitas and carne al pastor are fantastic.

Going on about 5 visits now and I keep coming back again and again. Well, the chips are crispy, salsa is always fresh and the food is pretty darn good too. What more can you ask for. I trade off with the shrimp or crab enchiladas every time. Double beans, hold the rice please. Usually when I’m done you can catch me licking the plate to get every last bite. Only had dessert a few times when there is some room left in my belly. My favorite would be the flan and I lick that plate to. Definitely recommend this little hidden gem.

We were invited here for a birthday celebration with friends — no, I won’t tell you how old :) I couldn’t help myself, I just had to go back to the whole Fried Snapper. Now what has been a problem here is that Mr. Picky had not found that one special dish that he is totally in love with — so I made a suggestion and then sat watching him trying for the first time the Banderillas de Cameron(because he was in a shrimp mood) … and guess what? He’s smiling, BIG!!! We have a winner!!! I’m going to order the Banderillas myself next time we come – he only let me have two very small bites before he pushed my fork away from his plate – and that tells you how much he was enjoying it :)

I had lunch here with a group of friends, there were 10 of us in the party. It may not look like much from the outside but inside is another story. Very rustic with wood everywhere, tongue and groove paneling on the walls and an opened beam ceiling. I really like what they have done with the interior and there is seating for approximately 50. Although they weren’t expecting a small group they pushed a couple of tables together for us and brought out chips and menus. They have a large menu but I eventually settled on the Combination #8 which is a Taco and Enchilada with Rice and Beans. I also ordered an Iced Tea. Our orders arrived and the whole group was very pleased. Everything on my plate was delicious. The plate came out hot and kept the food nice and warm through the entire meal. I may be wrong but I think this is a husband and wife team. Both of them were friendly and provided us with excellent service. My Iced Tea was topped of at least four times. Now this isn’t exactly in town, or even near town but if you happen to be in the general vicinity and would like some good Mexican food served in a nice little restaurant then Azteca is certainly worth the drive.
