I love this place! The best fries ever! The burgers and chicken strips are great too! They also have crushed ice so this place is a total win!

This place sells pastrami sandwiches and they sell hamburgers but they can’t understand what a pastrami burger is. They finally made one for me but it wasn’t easy. Service is poor. Burger was okay but a little over cooked.
We also ordered a cheese burger which was so very pathetic looking. We were told we should have ordered the «king burger» since it is bigger but really nothing special about the king burger. The regular burger is more of a kids meal size and the king burger is more regular size.
Service is really really poor. Food is okay at best.

I had a Root Beer King hamburger combo for the first time yesterday. And I must say it was the tastiest hamburger I have had in the longest time. It had everything in it that I like. The bun is seasoned which creates a very unique taste and they sure do give you lots of fries and they were served piping hot. I will surely go back again and forgo the IN N OUT burger… as I have found something better in Root Beer King. I love these mom and pop restaurants that go the extra mile and put out a very good product.

What can I say about RBK? I grew up on it. I spun around pole that was yellow and blue for years. Family has worked there. When sold I was afraid it would go downhill. It’s even better. New owners have put a lot of money into it. Food is same old mom Pop drive in. The fries are the best. It’s the seasoning salt to end all seasoning salt. Order them extra crispy. Ortega chili and avocado are nice touch. Pastrami not that great but I usually don’t bother with it. Call in cause it can get busy and seating is limited. It would be cool if they did car hop thing like when my mom worked there when I was a kid. No drive thru.

This place is amazing. I have never ever been disappointed. The fries are the best I’ve ever had, I compare all other drive in fries to RBK’s. Everything is decently priced. My favorite thing to order is the salad cheese burger combo! I would also recommend the king burger and adding bacon! They use REAL BACON no that pre cooked stuff you throw in the microwave! Their burgers are so good due to the seasoned buns! Never been to a place where they add the seasoning salt to the buns like that. If you like pastrami like I do, you’ll like theirs, crispy meat, toasted bun… One of the best! If you’re in the area give it a try, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Root Beer King has amazing seasoned fries and avocado cheeese burgers. Very nostalgic for the people that grew up in Lamont, like myself. They recently remodeld the place and it looks amazing, hard to miss.

Nothing like how it used to be when I was a kid. EVERYTHING IS FROZEN PRE-​MADE FOOD!!! I remember when meat was prepared there and was so much juicier (fries were always frozen pre-​made). The only thing that gets my taste buds attention now is the seasoning. And the service, HORRIBLE!!! If these kids don’t want to work or don’t like their job, then they need to quit!
