The Pine Lodge strives to be more tasteful than its surroundings and for the most part succeeds. Really tasty(and big!) martinis and a selection of seafood that’s hard to find ’round these parts. The mushroom risotto was a huge disappointment, especially for $ 1 extra. Tiny portion and tastes like instant brown rice. As self-proclaimed risotto conniseurs, it put a damper on our night. Very sweet employees, though!

Food was amazing. Thank you! Beef Wellington was wonderful. Cocktails were delicious. Oysters Rockefeller were the best I have ever had :)

Quirky-cozy! I loved all the wood paneling and taxidermy. Try to get a table at the back next to mule deer window. In this tiny tiny town in Nevada, you can find excellent food. My whole family had the filet(it is beef country, after all), and found it tender and flavorful and the sides were great. Good wine prices. Really a special little place.

If you find yourself on Lamoille, Nevada, the Pine Lodge is a must. They have excellent food there. It’s a little pricey, but well worth it. I absolutely LOVE their calamari.

Sorry for the novel, but here it goes. Ok, as a family we have been going to the Pine Lodge since 1995. It has went through many owners since Mr. Druck. It has been over 2 years since we have been there for dinner. I’m not fan of smoked prime rib, so sue me. Well Saturday night we decided to go out for«dinner», we knew the prices but sometimes it is not about that. We got in at a little after 5 pm. and were promptly seated by the lady at the bar. She gave us our menus and took our drink order and app order; she was very nice. The«waitress» then came and took our order. Our apps came out very quickly, they were brought out by our bus person. Calamari was very good, the sauce was very heavy they used to have a lemon Aloli, now it is like mayo. Blue escargot, what can I say, very small snail, way too much out of a container chopped garlic and dripping with butter. Next came our soup and salad course, brought out by bus person. Soup was Clam Chowder, very good, but weird spicing, lots of sage? Salad was way over dressed with dressing, although it was good blue cheese. We were told our entrees would be right out…45 minutes later we got our food.“Waitress” never came to tell us there would be an excessive wait. There was only 1 other table that had ordered food. Finally our meal came out. Halibut and fries; giant piece of fish, way too big; should have easily been halved, and way over cooked fries. All sitting on a single sheet of greasy paper. DD ate a few bites and was done, too much grease. Our $ 110.00 combination for 2, which we were charged $ 115.00 for because their snow crab hadn’t came in, looked delicious. 2 large NY steaks, lobster tails, shrimp, and crab with a baked potato. After waiting 45 minutes, sad to say we didn’t have the appetite to eat it. Picked at crab and ate a few shrimp. Took it all home in a to go box. A $ 180.00 meal to go. The young man who really took care of our table was the bus person, he should be promoted. Our«waitress» who never checked on us, except to bring us our check: sashayed around in her floor length apron like it was a ball gown. To those who were asking her about wine or what kind of snails they were, she schmoozed up to. We came in in shirts and jeans not fancy suits and sweaters. Save your money and gas until they get the kitchen and their server fixed, go to the Star or Aspens. We would have spent less in Salt Lake going to Bambara or Gordon Ramsey Pub and Grill in Vegas. Let’s get back to the day, when you were just serving a good high end meal and stop with the holier than thou crap. There is a reason this place empty on a Saturday night, you used to have to wait to be seated.

Lovely little steakhouse with great staff. The filet is tasty, tender, and well worth it.

We have been eating here for over 25 years, through several owners. My wife and I ordered the smoked prime rib and my son had the NY steak. We were seated over 40 minutes before our food showed up. We tried to flag down 2 waitresses and the owner but they did a great job of avoiding eye contact. We got our food but never got our salads and soup. When questioned, the waitress brought them after we started eating our meals. Well they offered to comp our drinks,(iced tea, and 2 sodas) on a $ 85.00 bill. We will not be returning here until the next owner takes over. This place will be changing hands soon.

Michelle should look for another profession as she was a horrible waitress. Forgot everything, brought us bread with no butter, never came back to our table to see if everything was ok, finally I got up and got butter from an unbussed table, we finished the bread before she ever came back. Than she brought us our appetizer, calamari, again we asked for cocktail sauce by the time she came back with it our calamari was cold and rubbery. Brought our soup but again no crackers by the time we got her attention and asked for crackers and when she finally returned with it our soup was ice cold. I ordered a medium filet, that was so undercooked it would have been undercooked if I ordered it rare. I ate around the edges and took the rest home, the bill came to over $ 140.00 with a cheap bottle of wine. It was my wife’s and mine anniversary and it really ruined the evening. I can tell you I would never, ever eat there again or reccommend it to any one. the only thing nice about the place was the atmosphere. Totally not worth the trip or your money.

The food wasn’t the major problem. It was the waitress that represented the facility. She never came back to take our order… How can the place make any business. No wonder the place is going down hill. Valentines Day 2010. My friend and her husband experienced the same thing! That happened? I simply don’t have time in my life to wait for a waitress to come back after 30 minutes of waiting for menues.

Lovely, cozy restaurant by Lamoille Canyons with beautiful views. The Ribeye Steak dinner was so delicious(best steak I have tasted). Our hostess and waitress were super nice and friendly. Dinner starts at 5pm.

My boyfriend took me for our 4 year anniversary back in July 2008(So i dont remember each detail). Knew it was fancy but the prices were within reason. AMAZINGFOOD, we sat upstairs at the window and got to watch the field in the back where animals come in sometimes and in fact a deer did come in and walk around a bit so that was neat(The table next to us said its even better in the winter when deer come in with the snow on the ground). Boyfriend had prime rib(YUM) I had filet mignon and snow crab(YUM) then we had a crème brûlée for dessert…(coffee and shirley temple to drink) WIll definately go back if in the area, might even plan a special trip just for it. They had so much more on the menu(And specials) I wanted to try! Our meal with a generous tip was $ 100…
