Quimby’s Food & Spirits

Food is really good. The prices might seem a little on the higher side but the quantity and quality make it worth it.

We placed Quimby’s back in our regular rotation of dining places again after an extended absence. Not because they were ever bad, but because they stop selling Yukon jack for a while.
But Yukon Jack is back and now Yukon Jim is back.
My wife enjoyed sushi grade Ahi Tuna and she reports as the best she’s ever had. I had barbecue pork chops and they’re absolutely delicious.
Our appetizer was a hummus plate and it was delectable.
The drink prices were very reasonable.. our beer was Shock Top «Twisted Pretzel Wheat «@ $ 3 a pint. That’s good! My Yukon Jack and Coke was well priced too.
The place was crazy busy but servers and bartenders hustled the best they could.
It rocked.

I have had the loaded Mac n cheese and the Shepard’s pie. They were both to die for!!! They are big portions and the service music and drinks are spot on!

Good food, a bit expensive for the quality but the service is terrible. Usually they are very understaffed which means it takes much longer to get your food out to you.

The food here is pretty good. But the service makes the food not worth it. Ordered a drink after 15 minutes with no drink ask the waitress again and I get «Im Busy, I will get it soon» with a dirty look. And forget it if you want to play a keno ticket. All the waitress will look right thru you. They have the worst service I have ever experienced. We will not be back again.

Some friends & I got kicked out for being too drunk about a month ago. What kind of «Irish» tavern is this??? I’ve been to Ireland and can say this is no true Irish bar/​tavern. Drunkenness & Irish taverns go hand-​in-​hand. Anyone that’s ever been to the Emerald aisle know this. Deceitful name.
P. S. Your horseradish penis poppers appetizers, whatever suck also. Could taste the freezer burn a mile away!

Let me start by saying this is not a place for vegetarians. What they did have I could even eat was uninspired. The service was horrible. The waiter was rude, and even made a joke about «how I should do something about that» in reference to my diet.

Really good food with a relaxed atmosphere. Certainly worth checking out. Never disappoints.

Although the food was ok, the service was definitely not! Went here for lunch and we were one of three tables in the dining room. It took almost an hour (48 minutes) to get a salad, chicken chunks, and fries. The waitress informed us that our table’s food order went in after a large private party’s. Absolutely no excuse. The 3 tables in the dining room should have been taken care of before the banquet went out. Rookie mistake. Not my first time with exceptionally slow service.

Food was ok. Went for lunch twice so dinner may be better. It took a while to get served buy then again they may have been short staffed.

We have been going to quimbys for at least a couple of years, have had good food and decent but occasionally slow service. However we recently had ordered a hamburger which we always ordered, and it came out with a distinct burnt taste, we have never returned anything here before, but asked for it to be taken back, they said they they would but the chef which was new said it was made on their grill was not working correctly, but that is how it was suppose to taste we said It never tasted like that before, the second burger they brought out was so raw it dripped blood and the second bite I took had very raw meat that I had to spit out, when i complained they said that that it’s how it is suppose to be made, I said you can’t serve raw hamburger, they said they would only split the cost of the meal, which totally is ridiculous rude and unprofessional also because we had been going there every week, well that it’s the last time we will

The food is really good here. They used to have an amazing grilled cheese sandwich but I haven’t seen it on the menu the last few times I was there (it had cream cheese in it as well and was so gooey and delicious).
We tend to go on our lunch hour, however we have learned that even if they aren’t busy, we’ll be there longer than an hour because occasionally the service is a little slow — friendly and helpful, but slow. As long as you plan to be there a little longer, it’s a great experience.

eh would be a good thing. thank god they serve liquor or they wouldn’t be around. nothing even remotely close to irish food either

Don’t let the strip mall fool you, Quimby’s is a great neighborhood restaurant and bar. There is an ever changing menu and usually pretty good service. A local favorite!

We were pleasently surprised by this place.
The first time we were here was before it went non-​smoking, so we’ve subsequently had a much more enjoyable time due to that.
We walked in expecting it to be a typical bar type place with mediocre food, but surprisingly they have a decent menu and the food that comes out is good.
It’s in one end of a strip plaza, and is much larger than you’d think it’s going to be. And tellingly, the place has been packed every time we’ve been here.

I have always like this place. It is a clean bar and grill. excellent food and service here. This place is busy on the weekends so come early, but you have to come here. The bar area is very nice.
Two sections to this bar and live entertainment on the weekends. The bands are not top notch but good.
The food is good and a nice place to meet for lunch or dinner.
