Warning: Don’t pick Dr. Paz! You have a choice of doctors for any work-related injury or occupational disease. Choose wisely or you’ll regret it! Seriously, do your research, ask your attorney(John Sbarbaro and Cliff Eley are good, BTW) read reviews, etc because it’s super-important. We made a huge mistake picking this doctor because he has an office not far from where we live. My husband wants to get back to work, and Dr. Paz created a huge mess by giving him restrictions even though he passed his FCE(Functional Capacity Evaluation) with flying colors. WTF?! Dr. Paz is unethically prognosticating«You can’t use tools because you might get injured again.». To cover his own butt, or maybe to suck up to the Workers Comp people, he knowingly and deliberately veered off the path of a medical doctor’s job, which is to evaluate medical conditions and sign off, «This guy was tested and he can perform his job duties.». Instead, he’s choosing to venture into legal areas such as future liability, negligence, etc. Maybe he enjoys playing gypsy fortune teller, and has a large and expensive crystal ball in his private office. However, medical ethics require him to engage in this solely as an avocation, not while he is acting as a physician whose function is to diagnose and treated patients. Dr. Paz has absolutely no right to make my husband jump through hoops of unnecessary paperwork at his job by deviating from standard medical practice. I’m hopping mad, because my husband is ready to go back to work and his foreman needs him back. Taxpayer dollars are being wasted because Dr. Paz is sacrificing patient care and medical ethics to play lawyer and fortune-teller. P. S. Your taxpayer dollars are being wasted by Dr. Paz. My husband works for a local government agency, and he’s perfectly fine to go back to work. I was at his FCE and watched in amazement as he lifted 105 pounds over his head, exceeding his job requirement of 100 pounds. We’re filing a complaint with the Colorado Board of Medical Examiners. I’m grateful that I had the presence of mind to record every office visit with Dr. Paz. I had a hunch he lies a lot, and he’s in bed with the insurance companies. I was right! I’m mad as hell and sh*t is about to hit the fan.

Don’t go here if you’re in a hurry. An hour waiting just to take a drug test.
