Happened upon this place after leaving Natural Grocers (11÷11÷14) while running errands on a very cold, snowy day. I desperately needed a watch battery, and despite it being almost closing time – not to mention the weather – they were quite friendy and helpful. Because of this positive experience, I’ll definitely be back.

I called Purvis Jewelers in late March to inquire about having my black diamond/​black rhodium plated engagement ring sized. The gentleman that I spoke with on the phone confirmed that they could do this for me and quoted a price. A few weeks later, I headed into the store and dropped off my ring. The associate that helped me, examined the ring. Confirmed that it was 14k gold, black rhodium plated (even noted the fact on my work order). The rhodium is important because a plated ring needs to be recoated after sizing. Away I went with my receipt and I was told that it would be ready in one week, if not sooner and that they would call when it was ready. I waited 7 days and didn’t hear from anyone, so I called.
When the first associate I spoke to answered the phone, she took my information, only to come back on the line and ask me if maybe my ring wasn’t under a different name, she sounded flustered, so I am starting to panic like the ring was lost. She came on a second time, still asking additional questions. Finally another woman got on the line and immediately apologized because my ring had not been touched. As in, they did not actually have black rhodium to recoat my ring after sizing and no one had called to tell me that! She also said that there must have been some miscommunication during my original phone call and that the associate that I dropped my ring off with just didn’t know. So, after 7 days without my ring, very disappointed, I picked it up.
I came to this jeweler because it was not a chain. I wanted to deal with a small, local business. I am disappointed because I was clear in my phone conversation, I took notes and would never have gone there in the first place had they not been able to size my ring. Also, because the associate should have known and if she was unsure she should have asked someone. And last, I could have taken it elsewhere in that 7 days and it would have just been done, but instead, lose yet another 7 days taking it somewhere else.
I do feel like their apology was sincere, but I won’t do business with them in the future because of the disorganization and lack of communication.

I brought in a couple of watches, one high end & one cheaper for my son. They both needed batteries. I had no idea what to expect or even pay. They were fast, very professional, and super fair in what they charged. Plus they told me that they had a warranty that was more then i expected. As i sat in the couch waiting, i observed the way one of the employees were listening to what the customer wanted. They seem to really get it. There are a lot of places to do business, this is one to check out for sure. I felt very comfortable when i left knowing i can bring my high end jewelry here and not get hurt. Thanks.

At the beginning of ring shopping we went here to look and get sized. Ivy greeted us immediately and showed us rings and got our sizes. Even though we didnt buy anything i would recommend this place to anyone. Small friendly place, not a big chain store.

I have purchased several items from Purvis Jewelers over the years, and am thrilled with the quality. I brought a bunch of semi-​precious stones into their store and designed custom jewelery with them that turned out more than fabulous. Plus, they are super friendly people and have been jewelers in Denver for over 20 years. I highly recommend Purvis Jewelers!

Wow, did these guys do a fab job on my wedding band — I needed it custom made to fit around the engagement ring, as nothing ready –made fit properly (thanks to my very short fingers !!!).
In 2 short weeks, my engagement ring is ready to be transformed into the wedding ring — all I have to do is bring the rings back; post nupial of course, and they’ll be sodered together as if they’re one ring.
No fakakte twisting and turning of rings — how cool is that.
