By far the worst experience ever !! There was multiple fights people being jumped guns being pulled out. And the worse part is the owner, her family and friends were part of the chaos! Everything is overly priced the owner was extremely disrespectful ! This list goes on. If it wasn’t for the large party I had with me we would of left the first time someone got jumped by the staff and there friends. I hardly leave bad reviews I’m going out of my way to warn anyone wanting to come here it’s not worth risking your life to try and have a good Time. The only thing good about this place was the D. Js music …

First brand new bartender on second day with no experience is super sweet if you give her a little instruction. And their 25cent pool during the day is cool, but here’s the rub. They have$ 1 drafts advertised everywhere, inside, outside… But the bartender says she’s not allowed to charge that. So they are $ 2. The owners are jerks to make her fearful of her job for simply following what’s posted on the walls. Take down your tacky posters and banners or follow through with the promotion. Lame

Waitress took our drink order when we got there and brought it to us. We didn’t see her again(to place our food order) for 20 minutes because she was the only one working. Finally got the food and one of the orders was wrong. Upon trying to pay with a gift certificate from , we were told that they don’t honor the gift certificates and that they are from the last owner — even though it’s the same name, menu, etc… Owner offered no reparations for the mixup and even tried to sell us on other specials and poker tournaments they have. We were told numerous people have come in with the same certificate(that we bought and printed off within ½ hour of going to this place!) And they were denied as well… We will not be returning here! Don’t waste your time on this place!

As I go through my winter of checking out local dives that I’ve always seen, but never actually been to, I decided Pub on Colfax would be the next. Some things were great, others not, but in general turned out to be pretty below expectations. The best thing is the prices. A friend and I went on Taco Thursday and spent $ 15 between the 2 of us, including tax and tip. We each got 2 margaritas, then I got a tostada and we split chips and salsa. The food wasn’t very good, but seriously, quite a steal. The service was pretty poor. Our poor waitress was probably only 18 years old and clueless. The clientele in the bar was sketchy. West Colfax sketchy, not grungy hipster sketchy. There were pool tables, dart boards, and pinball, which is always a plus. however the décor was really lacking and was really just one big open room, no character at all. I probably won’t go back, even though the waitresses wear bikini tops on Wednesdays… :)

Ok, have been here under previous ownership, and even though this is not anywhere near where I live, my friend works down here, and we wanted to check it out. Um, its RED now. That’s a difference. There are also some upgrades on the inside. Most noticeably, the TV’s. You can see them just about anywhere. Probably good views all around for a game. Its Friday Night, and we get there just before 6… well, lucky us, because they have a Free Beer hour special from 6 – 7, where your first beer is on the house. Free =‘s always good, right :) Our Server. super! She was funny, super nice, and just made us feel welcome. We even chatted with the owner for a minute about my friends Holiday Happy Hour coming up in December… seemed pretty cool too. So, some other things: 3 pinball machines, a few video games(PACMAN anyone?), 2 pool tables, a Foosball table. just enough stuff(juke box) to keep you occupied… but JUST in case, JUST in case, you can go over to the Claw machine. you know, the ones where you put some money in and try to get the prize? This one is a bit different, because there are real live lobsters in there and if you catch it… they cook it! WOW. Never saw that before! They have tons of specials from Taco Tuesday, to $ 20 all you can drink beers during Sunday football… you’d have to check it all out. Every day happy hour from 3−7… They have a pretty big menu with burgers, salads, wings, chili, you name it. We weren’t super hungry, but ordered some loaded pub chips… just perfect enough to compliment our beers :) Friendly, laid back crowd. Super casual, fun times… seemed like an ‘adult’ crowd, most people in there 30’s or so… Had a good time, will come back again to meet up friends in the area.

This used to be the Putt-n-Pub, which was a true dive. They fixed it up a(very) little; the bar area is nicer. There’s a juke and two pool tables and a nice crowd. Our waitress, by the way, was the bomb: very accommodating, funny, attentive. She recommended the jalapeño/cream cheese hamburger for my husband and it was really very good. Juicy, cooked perfectly, great flavor. Not pre-made, frozen. My patty melt, on the other hand, was well done when I’d asked for medium rare, and just plain terrible. My daughter’s sliders were also overdone and bad tasting. She barely ate one out of three. Most concerning, however, were the watered down double cran and vodkas I ordered. I could hardly taste the vodka and we all know I taste a lot of vodka. I should have been blitzed after two of those; instead I felt nothing. Poor show. Still, this place has potential. I will be back to try more of their food and to have more reasonably priced drinks. I just hope they have actual booze in them this time, which is what I pay for when I buy a cocktail. Priorities.
