Great teachers, tiny studio. I really enjoy hot yoga, and especially love bikram. A couple huge complaints: OVERCROWDED and CARPETING. Mats are practically stacked on top of each other and after 100s of hot humid classes and puddles of sweat I just cannot imagine that floor getting cleaned, and what lives in that carpeting. I do not understand why they haven’t installed hardwood floors. Pretty gross.

After committing to a new years resolution of trying new things, and I found myself at Prana Bodhi for a Bikram class! After a few classes with Jackie, I can say I am hooked and have made Bikram an essential part of my weekly routine. I normally practice Vinyasa and I’ve found that these two styles compliment each other very well, almost like a push and pull. If it is your first time, be sure to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! The high temperatures can easily make you dizzy and feel like you may pass out. I would also recommend having some electrolytes before and after class, but everyone is different. Jackie is such a sweetheart and she gives detailed instruction in every class so just in case someone is new they can easily flow through the class. She takes the time to talk to you after class and get to know you. The studio is small, yet comfortable and cozy! Prices are great and they always have deals! First time you pay $ 15 for a drop-in class, you get your next class free, so it’s 2 for $ 15. Friday drop-ins are $ 5 and as of right now there are Groupon & Living Social deals. I will not be going anywhere else for Bikram in Cleveland!

I recently purchased a living social deal for 5 classes at Prana Bodhi. I’ve been to 2 classes so far and have enjoyed my experience. The studio is small however, it has a good feel to it and there is plenty of room to practice yoga. I called the studio twice with questions and the owner, Jackie returned my calls promptly. I find the owner and other instructors to be friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about there craft. I’ve been to many studios throughout the years and have taught yoga as well. I highly recommend Parana Bodhi yoga studio.

While not as fancy as some of the other studios in the area… Prana Bodhi offers something special. Great yoga with smaller class sizes and hands on instruction. I’ve only been a few times but would recommend this studio from beginners to advanced.

I’ve been practicing yoga on and off for about a year. Prana Bodhi was my first experience with Bikram, and I could not have made a better choice! The intrsuctor was helpful before, during and after the class. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’m excited to go back!

Bikram Style yoga is amazing! The studio is very warm and inviting. The dressing area is nice and stylish. The bathroom is very tranquil. I purchased the living social deal and loved it! Did a month unlimited after that. My favorite part of this place is that everyone is at different levels. If you are new to yoga like me you will not be uncomfortable here. I highly recommend this place!

This is my first experience with Hot Yoga, but I am hooked, the staff is very attentive and easy going, they are encouraging and tough at the same time. I purchased a Groupon, sometimes with Groupon you get treated differently, not this time tho, they didnt seem to care who was in the class and were equally welcoming to everyone. The scheduling is very easy and flexible and all done online which is helpful for people who are busy like me… busy busy busy… The studio is very nice! the front room or «office» is filled with little things to buy or rent, with a little area to leave your things while you are in the next«hot» room. This room is just an open room with floor to ceiling mirrors and some small decorations. very calming and inviting. There is also a back changing room, which is very nice and warm, this is especially nice for days that I come right from work Jackie does a great job welcoming beginners and pushing the more experienced, every time I leave I feel inspired to do something with my day!

I do not recommend this yoga studio. This studio provides hot bikram yoga. The condition of the facility does not seem sanitary as there is carpeting in the room for hot yoga. I saw dog hair, human hair, and food crumbs on the floor. In addition, I purchased the living social ‘deal’ for 10 sessions for $ 30. I was only able to use one session as every class was registered as full after that. The living social ‘deal’ expired, and the owner of the studio would not allow me to utilize anymore of the lessons(though it was not my fault I could not use all sessions as they were full). I also found the owner of the studio unfriendly and unhelpful

I think it takes two classes to get hooked on Prana Bodhi.(Maybe on Bikram too.) A few weeks ago I took my first Bikram class at Prana Bodhi. I was a little overwhelmed — not because of the heat, although that was intense, but because I was making a mess of all the 26 postures(half standing, half seated). Jackie, the instructor, was knowledgeable and no-nonsense. I found it interesting that aside from the first breathing exercise, she just announced each pose and described them. But amazingly, I was able to gather enough information to do them, especially since the room was mirrored and everyone else seemed to know what they were doing. The day after, I was SOSORE!!! It was ridiculous. I could barely walk down the stairs. But I felt really good and cleansed. Then I bought the Groupon($ 35 for 10 classes? Hell yeah!) and so I went for my second class yesterday(which, incidentally, is free for all new yogis for their second visit). I had a much better/easier time yesterday. Maybe it’s because I knew what the poses were, so I could concentrate less on the instructions and more on my breathing and trying to get more into the poses. Both times, I sweat my ass off, but it felt great! I’m the type of person who hates hot weather too and I didn’t mind this heat. It was pretty relaxing. Today, I feel sore, but a good kind of sore, not debilitating. I noticed that on my first visit, Jackie encouraged us to keep at it and didn’t necessarily advocate for taking a break to rest. But yesterday, she did mention that if we needed to, we could take a seat or a knee and get back when we’re ready. There’s one«official» water break after the first three postures are finished, but after that, you can drink your water as you wish(between poses preferred). Anyway, this seems to be a very popular studio that’s only getting more busy. I’d highly recommend that you create a login at their online class scheduler and register in advance — the class is capped at 20(though yesterday, there were 22 practicing! Yikes!). In any case, Bikram is not for everybody. I know a lot of yoga fans who simply don’t like it at all. But if you’re into it – as I am — you will get a great experience at Prana Bodhi.

I tried Prana Bodhi through a Living Social deal, thinking $ 30 for 10 classes was great, even if I have to use them within 30 days. Except that I won’t be going back after my first class. It’s Bikram yoga, which is mentioned in VERY tiny letters once on their website, and I’m a Vinyasa practitioner. I thought I’d give it a good try anyway and broaden my horizons, but some of the poses seemed dangerously unsupported(they make you sign an injury waiver before class) and the teacher was very condescending and abrasive. There was nothing spiritual about the practice at all. Living Social was nice enough to send me a $ 10 off future purchase code to make up for my less-than-favorable experience, so in a way I’m only out $ 20 instead of $ 30.

Prana Bodhi was my first Bikram«Hot» Yoga experience. I have taken 3 classes a week for the past month. The instructor, Jackie, is motivating, approachable, and knowledgeable. I feel comfortable asking her questions, and have learned a great deal since starting classes at Prana Bodhi. Practicing yoga in the hot environment is extremely beneficial for me as I have fibromyalgia. My muscles are able to loosen up within the first 15 minutes of class because of the heat, whereas it can take up to an hour for my muscles to loosen up in a cooler environment. I am feeling less overall muscle pain since starting yoga here, and am so happy with the results!
