Mama Mia Pizza and Sandwich Shop

Good variety of food, especially when one person is craving Mexican, one Italian and the other a burger. Pasta dinners are yummy. Their dough is to die for. Definitely try a calzone, pizza or bread sticks. Burritos are large and filling.

jonesing for some mom and pop pizza and ordered through grubhub and left specific details for delivery, go through the alley (cuz the main gate is locked and i can’t open it.) the wait was estimated at an hour which is reasonable but an hour later the driver was nowhere to be found. called the restaurant, gave the apartment number, the lady said she’d call the driver.
half an hour later and nothing
called back and i heard the owners (?) talking about me in spanish giving nonsense excuses for why the driver couldn’t deliver the pizza and «would you like for him to go back?» oh no please by all means take my thirty bucks plus tip for nothing Yes of course I want him to go back!
so it’s now been two hours since i ordered and i get a call from the driver that he’s outside the gate and *Shocking* it’s locked. «yeah I know, that’s why i said go though the alley» and he hangs up. so now I’m mostly grumpy from hunger and frustration and go meet the delivery dude who is giving one excuse after another, and finally hands over the goods and I’m just ready to eat and move on from this and of course. of course.
the pizza. it is as cold as my heart and tastes awful. four slices later and I just can’t eat this. it’s edible but just barely. after calling grubhub and talking about this experience they informed me that this establishment would not refund any money to me so this was officially the worst one night pizza stand I have ever had

I just recently ordered from mama Mia’s on Memorial Day. I ordered online and it said delivery would take an hour. I called an hour and ten minutes later to ask when it might be delivered. She said she would call the driver. Not 10 minutes later did the driver show up. I’m giving this place two stars for one reason. The burger was not bad. It was made with a patty you can tell is bought in bulk from a grocery store, fine, but Upon arrival my burger was lukewarm and fries and zucchini were cold. Ordered a side of ranch with the zucchini but it wasn’t there. If I eat here again it will be in person and not ordered online.

I ordered online, used one of their online coupons for two pizzas and picked my two toppings per pizza, but when I receive my order, both of my pizzas only had one topping on it each. You would think that since they’re reading my order from the computer screen they would get it correct but they didn’t. I’m giving them the benefit of the doubt because their pizza was good but they did get my order wrong. This is the first time I have ever ordered from them. Im giving 3 stars because their pizza was good and deliverey was ontime but lost two stars because my order was wrong. I will try this place again in the future but if they get my order wrong again then I’m removing two more stars.

Ordered their food off of Grub Hub, so I didn’t get to actually be inside of the place but on the food note, it’s pretty good. I order the chili cheese fries and a pizza for my brother. The crust of the pizza is delicious, and it’s nice and cheesy. The fries are good too. I’m not used to chili that looks like this, but it tastes just the same. 4 stars from me.

They charge 30% tax. Watch out for this place! After you correct their math, they will give you really bad attitude. Still debating whether to report this place or not. Beware! I love supporting small business, but if you cheat customers, you will never do well.

Mom and I were looking for a good pizza place to have dinner that delivers. Chose this place because it was open and close. Delivery took an hour but was here by the promised time. Pizza and wings were good the pizza could use more tomato sauce though. Overall a decent place to eat.

I can’t seem to understand why this place has such a bad score. My family and I have been ordering from Mama Mias for about a few months now and haven’t experienced any discomfort or bad quality food. Their delivery service is pretty fast and we love their food selection, overall I’m extremely impressed by M.M.‘s buffalo wings, boy do we love their wings, nice flavor, great sauce, crispy outside and nice hot and tender inside. If I could pick one thing on the menu to eat the rest of my life I’d choose their hot wings! I also enjoyed their pizza but i find myself finishing the wings before the pizza pie. Perhaps there’s been a change in management because this is one of my family’s go to pizza places. :)

It’s a great place to eat! The prices are not high, the food is cooked perfectly and the service is great! I never had a problem here :)

I have given this place three chances And each time they get my order wrong plus the food taste bad. I always heard that it’s good and that maybe I tried the wrong thing but now I’m convinced this place officially is off my list of good places to get a quick bite and on to my not even remotely edible list.

I’ve been craving a pastrami sandwich for the last week, however its a bit hard to find a good shop near my place. While visiting a relative I saw a little sign outside this place at 930pm… had to wait 10 minutes but it came out fresh! This place seems to have anything and everything on the menu.
On a side note, the place looks like one of those places where you wonder how clean things are kept.

I moved up here a year ago, and just recently found this place. (duh it’s so close to my house) we started off with the $ 5 pizza, because well, we’re broke as all hell, and it beats spending $ 20 at carl’s jr. down the street. the pizza wasn’t half bad. we got the pizza few times, and I decided to venture out, and tried the pastrami, (yummy) and the burgers (sub par for a low cost place) and I fell in love with the California burger, bacon and avocados. mmmm! and the amount of fries they give you are more than plenty, since I’m a fry hoarder. I usually now get the CA burger. but the last time I got it, I got horrible food poisoning. I mean the poo poos, stomach cramps, the whole 9. I was upset since we always eat here. So I stopped getting burgers and stuck to the pizza. Well last night my work kept me there til around 8, and I didn’t want to go home and spend half an hour making dinner. So we got momma mias again. I actually ran to carl’s because I had a coupon for the boyfriend. and I ordered my ca burger. Big mistake… I was getting ready for bed around 11pm, and I got the WORST cramps ive ever encountered. I was hunched over sweating, crying and nauseous for at least 2 hours… I didn’t fall asleep til 1pm and my boyfriend woke me up because the bed sheets were drenched in sweat. I had enough strength to get up and go pop some pain medicine so I could go back to sleep. every time I rolled over the pain got worse and worse from all over my stomach. I woke up this morning feeling better, but sorry to say, I learned my lesson. im sure if I got that burger again, I’ll probably die. I’ll stick to the cheap pizza, but if that ever makes me sick. im done with this place.

I had the same experience as Alishia S. We come here all the time however, I don’t know if their under new management, but that last couple times we came here, it was HORRIBLE! Couple months ago we ordered pizza and wings, but the wings weren’t cooked well. I bit into a piece that was still bloody… EWWW! Returned it back to them and the lady asked me, «What do you want me to do with it?» I should’ve told her to eat it since she made me it, but I let her off with a warning to make sure she cooks it well next time.
And just last Wednesday, we picked up a couple of sausage and pepperoni pizzas. The pepperoni pizza tasted funny or somewhat spoiled. Uneasy about allowing my kids to eat it, I had them put their slices back in the box. And I’m so glad that I did because the next day I had SEVERE gas and diarrhea! This actually continued until Saturday! We had special dinner plans for Saturday night, which we’ve looking forward to for the past couple weeks, but unable to attend because of the condition I was in… SMH!
Tried calling this place SEVERAL times asking to speak to the owner, but the driver Guiellermo and another hispanic lady who both don’t speak english well btw, kept telling me they don’t know when the owners were coming in, and they didn’t know the owners names either! Unbelievable! I have already filed a complaint with Health Department and the owners still have not returned my call.
FOOL ME ONCE… smh

I love this place. Great prices. The pizza is PERFECT the crust is great. They also deliver. I an call this place ll day they have a lot of choices…

Ordered pizza & wings here twice. First time pizza & wings were pretty good, but the next day me & my boyfriend had severe gas & diarhea, we weren’t sure if it was from this place so we gave them the benefit of the doubt. We ordered again a few weeks later same thing pizza & wings. This time the pizza was thin & soggy. AGAIN we had severe gas & diahrea… never again.

A few weeks ago one of their employees placed their ad in our screen door at our apartment and we had never heard of them before, so we figured we’d use one of their coupons and give them a try. And I must admit… we were pleasantly surprised! Sure, it’s not the greatest place in the world and it’s just a little Mom & Pop place… but we really enjoyed it and the pizza had this awesome home-​cooked taste to it. The prices can’t be beat either; they’re considerably cheaper than the big pizza chains and a lot friendlier too! We plan on going back again in the near future to see if the first trip was a fluke or not.

YUMMY! Went in for some take out, as everyone says, the menu is huge and versatile. Also very cheap, so me and my hubby decided to try a few different things. We got: Pizza, cheeseburger, chicken burger, calzone, tacos, fries, and chili cheese fries.
1. Pizza was good, tasted kind of like Costco pizza.
2.Cheeseburger, actually very yummy! One of the best I’ve had lately.
3. Fries, very good.
4. chicken burger, so-​so, not bad.
5. tacos, very yummy! (carne asada)
6. calzone, tasty. A little greasy, but still good.
7. chili cheese fries, have had better, but these were good. Used white cheese on them.
I will for sure be back for takeout, looking forward to testing everything on the menu.

I saw this place cruising down Paramount Blvd on the way to Charo Chicken yesterday. I saw a large sign showing «Pizza Pasta Burgers» and if you get up close, in little tiny lettering it says Mama Mia’s… lol… Everybody brought lunch today (except me) so I wandered back to that corner to grab some take-​out.
If you’re ever in one of those hungry lunchtime moods, and can’t make up your mind, this place will offer you everything, and drive you bonkers with the overload of selection. The person in line in front of me couldn’t make up her mind either and we both sat there staring at the massive menu wall being indecisive. 20 different Subs, Fried Chicken, Fried Catfish, Mexican Food, 8 different Pizzas, Hot Dogs, 16 Burger types, BBQ Ribs, Buffalo Wings, 7 types of Pasta, 7 Salads, Calzones, Ice Cream, etc… Yikes! Then I saw it. The Pig. Shredded Pork Shoulder, Provolone Cheese, Lettuce, Tomato, and Onions on an 8″ Toasted French Roll, $ 6.99 with fries and beverage. YES PLEASE!
The Pig sandwich was okay. Nothing spectacular, but not bad. Lettuce was a bit wilty, but I was famished and now I’m not. It’s not too far from the office so I’ll most likely be back to try more of their gargantuan menu. The joint is cash only, but there’s an ATM located inside as well. No seating inside, but there are some picnic tables out front. Pics are up!
