Light Dental Studios

I came here a little over a year ago and I am back again, but this time for my other half. When we found Light Studio Dental in his insurance network, I was so excited for him because I knew that he would be taken care of as amazingly as I was.
Three appointments later and we are very happy with the health progress of his teeth! Dr. Poyfair, Dr. Patel, Malia, Araya, and Julie have taken great care of him. He is always treated with respect, made comfortable, and his questions are answered well.
The customer service was still as sweet as my first time here. Liz is one of the best receptionists that we know! We always look forward to seeing her when we arrive because we know she’ll greet us with an energetic tone & a smile.
I don’t see us going anywhere for dental services unless we just have to because of insurance purposes.
That’s how amazing Light Dental Studio is and I am so thankful for Unilocal,otherwise I wouldn’t have stumbled upon this gem.

This was my first visit to Light Dental Studios. I was having very severe toothaches for about a week and figured I needed a root canal on a premolar in the upper right quadrant.
I wasn’t sure exactly what tooth it was and I had never had a cavity before. Dr. Poyfair found the cavity causing the issue after some ice testing (ouch!). He confirmed what I thought would be the case: I needed a root canal done. I was under the assumption I would not be awake if I had to have it done, but he does not use gas. Because of that, I was quite hesitant and had several questions. Dr. Poyfair answered them fairly thoroughly, and I reluctantly decided to go ahead with both the root canal and crown procedures.
The pain was minimal during both. I felt nothing during the most active parts of the root canal. The entire process was almost entirely painless, and the pain I did experience was nothing compared to the toothaches I had been suffering. From walking in the door to driving home, it took about 3 hours, with the root canal and crown procedure taking 2 hours. It went about 30 minutes after their posted closing time; it was definitely nice to have it all done as soon as possible.
The temporary crown was great, I had minimal discomfort with it – I just had to baby the tooth for about 5 days. The toothaches are gone and I can chew without worry with all my teeth now. I’m going in soon to get my permanent crown cemented in. I’m confident it will be quick and easy like my first experience.
I believe the prices were in line with the industry, coming to around $ 1500 pre-​insurance.
They did a fantastic job. I am so happy the toothaches are gone. Highly, highly recommended.

Such nice staff & Dr. Poyfair is amazing.
They can get you in same day, no waiting when you go in & everyone is so friendly and laid back which makes it nice when you’re scared of going there in the first place.

Is it possible to have a 5+ star rating for a dentist? It is! Ok, I’ll admit, I am the one person in the world that loves going to the dentist but the people at this practice are great. I’ve never had a Dentist, let alone a receptionist shake my hand and just be so nice! I went in thinking I was getting a cleaning (I’m not from around here, I didn’t know you needed to have an exam before hand because of state law, blah blah blah), but Dr. Poyfair was able to fit a cleaning in for me after my xray and exam. I went in with the assumption my one composite filling would need to be replaced but I was advised there was no issue. I also asked for sealants on a few of my teeth and I was given detailed, upfront and very economical pricing. I’m looking forward to my appointment next week! Yes… I just said that. :)

Modern office, friendly staff and Dr. Poyfair is a great dentist! I’m glad I made the switch to this office. I have some anxiety about dental work but the staff is so caring and really works with me well. Dr. P extracted my wisdom teeth last month and it went great. My family is also really happy with the dental service here!
