Wish I had read other reviews and avoided this place. I had a groupon for a condition treatment and a cut. Never even got the conditioning treatment and the cut I could have done better if I had used my lawnmower. We discussed and I was very clear on a trim. 2 inches off was fine. I have been growing out layers for about 4 years now and had finally gotten all of the layers out. I NEVERASKED for layers. It is the last thing in the world that I wanted. I did not ask for anything but a trim. After she is done she nonchalantly mentions that she put the layer back in. WHY!!! I never asked you for layers. Not to mention they were horribly done. I left looking and feeling like a wet dog. Stay away.

Congratulations! You mad me have to write my first ever Unilocal review! I made an appointment online through Schedulicity(as literally and boldly suggested on their website) 3 hours before the appointment. On my lunch break, drove 10 minutes, walked in ignored for 3 – 5 minutes(receptionist was on the phone, but at least acknowledge that a human is standing there), waited 10 minutes for her to get ahold of the stylist, told she wasn’t coming in because she«didn’t check, but you can come back tomorrow,» and then drove 10 minutes back. Awesome, productive time– so glad I didn’t have anything better to do– oh wait, I was working… They didn’t offer an apology or any form of customer service to offset the inconvenience which, as someone in customer service, found this absurd. Then the audacity of being told that I can come back tomorrow. Gross.

june 24 i went to jeric salon for a teeth whitening – it was the worst experience i have had in a very long while – i walked out of there 1 hr later w/3rd degree burns in the inside of my mouth and ended up in the emergency ward 2 days later – 10 days later as i write this i am still experiencing mouth pain and the wounds are not completly healed – how this happened i’m not sure but the technician – vanesse was so busy d oing a color and talking on her phone while gossiping with other employees she could of cared less abt m e – when i complained she gave me some vaseline to put on my lips – however the burns were on the inside of my mouth – the owner/manager has no idea how to run a business – she will not give my money back – nor reimburse me for the mediicine i was prescribed to treat these very serious burns – as a matter of fact she had the audicity to blame me saying my lips were senisitive – once again these burns are on the inside of my mouth not my lips – i am writing this to warn others that the davince teeth whitening –if not done properly can be very dangerous i would like to warn others that jeric salon is so poorly managed i would not trust them w/any kind of procedure – the place is dirty and chaiotic and has a «i really don’t care about the customer attitude”-i have reported this incident to D.O.R.A. and hopefully the state will do something– this business is dangerous.

This review pertains to the nail services offered at this salon. I purchased a Groupon for a mani/pedi here– as another reviewer noted, the Groupon name is «Ageless Salon and Spa” — but their answering machine, signage, etc all say J Eric Salon. Weird. Anyway, I recently redeemed my Groupon and I’m sorry to say that I was very disappointed. I do feel bad writing this review, because the girl who did my nails was INCREDIBLY nice, but… If I had known then what I know now, I can definitively say that I never would have purchased the Groupon. Showed up on time to my appointment and went to pick out colors. This was the first red flag… The selection was minimal, to say the least. About 10 shades of pink and orange and a couple shimmery reds. Good luck if you want anything from the other two thirds of the color spectrum. All I wanted was a basic red with no glitter, which they did not have in regular polish(only gel) so the woman offered to do a gel manicure for the same price! Cool! Things seemed like they were looking up… Until 45 minutes later, when she had finally finished filing my nails. I understand wanting things to look good, but this leaned more towards incompetency. How did the gel/uv portion take less time than filing my already filed nails? So, over an hour passes and we finally get to the pedicure portion of the ordeal. I have my feet in the tub, soaking, when all of the sudden the woman goes«Oops, I have a 5:30 tooth whitening appointment, let me set her up and I’ll be back soon». She leaves me there with my feet soaking for 10+ minutes and roams off to another room. 1. Why are you double booking appointments? 2. You were touching my feet two seconds ago, and now you’re going to stick them in someone’s mouth for a tooth whitening? She finally came back and resumed the pedicure, which was as lackluster as the manicure. Another round of incompetent filing gave way to her leaving again to check on the tooth whitening. At that point 2 hours had passed. I’m sure I was visibly frustrated at that point because she rushed through the polish portion in about 10 minutes, not even putting a base coat on. I was just grateful to get out of there, but the worst part came the next morning. I looked down at my nails and the polish had already come off one of them… I would like to reiterate one more time that this was a gel manicure and should have lasted a week, let alone a day. I went to my regular salon that evening to get it fixed, and they perhaps put it best: «I can’t believe these look so bad after a day» 2 stars because the girl was so nice, but never again.

The woman who did my wax in a hurry! She left a lot of hair behind even after I asked her go back over several spots, which she seemed to completely irritate her. The room where the wax was done was a mess(I was asked to lay on a stained comforter and a small shred of paper). When I got home I tweezed the hair she missed and shaved the parts too big to tweeze. Which completely defeats the point of being waxed! I saw this salon on groupon and was eager to try it, because it is close to my house and she offered a good price. Even before the botched wax it was incredibly difficult to make an appointment because no one returned my calls. I will not be retuning to Ageless Salon or JEric salon or whatever they call it.

I bought a groupon for a sudatonic body wrap with Veness and decided to include a facial since they were giving a special at $ 25. I’ve only had one other facial, about 10 yrs ago. I have a lot of irritable redness around my chin and cheeks. The two days after, my face broke out and my rosacea was super red and irritated.(Which I expected.) After that my face completely cleared up! My face has not been this clear and red-free in over a year. So amazed! Veness was very accommodating and made sure I was comfortable throughout the sudatonic wrap. The facial was very relaxing and I plan on having her do it again in the future. My only complaint is its a bit of a drive from my home.

I have no idea what is going on with this business. I bought a Groupon for Ageless Salon and Spa, the only Unilocal page that is similar says Ageless Face and Skin at a different address, but call and it says J Eric Salon. No matter what the name is, they have no idea how to run a business either. Turns out they only have one pedicurist, says the person who answered the phone finally. We were then booked for an appointment more than a week later on Sunday, which I found out today they are closed. I’m trying to reschedule again, and nobody answers the phone. My friend and I have been calling them for over a week and can’t get a call back nor a person picking up. I’m going to Groupin for a refund, there’s no way I’m letting my hard earned money go to a place like this.

This is regarding an appointment I had with Veness Martinez. I really wanted to love this place. It is close to my home, I drive by on a regular basis and I can afford the prices. They were in the process of talking me into a facial, which they were running a special on. I was completely going to schedule it. I explained how I needed an affordable place close to my home. everything seemed like it would be a good fit. Wrong… She rushed thru my hair. Big time. My side swept bang are HORRID. She cut them way to far back giving me a helmet head. She did razor out some more hair to make it look better. But it only looks better when I style it EXACTLY how she had it done. I honestly don’t feel like she gave me side swept bangs at all. The 3″ she took off the rest of my hair seem to be fine, but when I tried to talk to her about the wavy hair issue I have she wasn’t paying attention to what I said at all, didn’t reply and when I mentioned again can you see the wave she was all yeah I see it… I don’t feel like I was listened to. They were all too busy talking about their own gossip and fashion that I don’t think she heard a single thing I said. Also, my blow out. She used her fingers. Seemed odd. And I got poked over and over and over again. Mind you my hair also getting tangled up in her nails while she was ‘brushing’ out my hair. I was her last appointment of the day(which she called and tried to tell me I was scheduled for 5, not 6 like I had down). I know she had an exhausting day. I did get to hear about that. That doesn’t mean that any less attention should have been paid to my haircut. Then upon checking me out, she was on her phone the whole time. I don’t care what she was doing but when you have a customer that is upset about the service you just provided you should pay them some attention. Overall I was really let down. I did come in on a living social deal, but I was honestly looking for a hairdresser and I pretty much let her know that.

Sad to report that C. Michael has left J Eric Salon. I may still be a patron, as Michel’le is still around for facials, wax, etc, but the absence of the premier colorist and stylist will be missed!(Good news is that C. Michael is now at Strandz)
