This is a little park in Lakewood on 14th Place. There’s a small strip of grass to run around in, along with a small horseshoe pit(where you can play two games at once). There are a few shaded benches under mature trees which are comfortable. There’s also a small shelter with a picnic table and trash can. The area was picked up and looked clean. There wasn’t trash laying about or graffiti on anything. One of the nice things about the playground is it’s of the old fashioned wood and metal construction. No crummy plastic here(except for the space ship rocker thing, which is nicely located in the shade). There’s the bouncy bridge that is fun and hard to walk across, especially with people who like to jump on it. There are three slides of various heights, although you have to be careful to not get burned, because those suckers can get hot! The only thing I don’t like about the structure is that there are 3 fireman poles, so it’s heart attack inducing when your little kid veers over to check them out, not noticing there’s a 10 foot drop to the ground. There’s actual gravel around the structure, instead of sand or wood chips. The only thing this playground area doesn’t have are swings, but that’s okay.
