This H&D location was an embarrassment.
My craptacular experience went something like this:
ME: «Hello, I am trying to put together a gift basket for some friends.»
THEM: –they say nothing–
ME: «Do you have any fruit?»
THEM: «No. Well wait. We have canned pears.»
ME: «Do you have any towers or premade baskets?»
THEM: «No, we’re actually out of those too. But we have some frozen cheesecakes.»
This conversation was going on while the employees were chatting back and forth with each other. I felt like I was intruding, which is impressive, since I was the ONLY customer in there!
They seemed to be out of EVERYTHING. I know the company isn’t doing great, but come on people!
I decided to leave at that point and build my basket downtown. What a waste of a trip down west Colfax!
If you need H&D goods, check out the Parker location. That store is always packed with goodies and they are extra helpful. Also, I will be more tempted to use their online services from here on out.
