Fairly quick service… food. iive tried most all oh the menu. the big burger is my favorote…1−10 id give em a 5… maybe more if the dude wasn’t so rude

Do not be fooled by this tiny truck! They serve jam packed food with heart and soul! It was always a thing to try it out after passing by it countless times, and thankfully I did! They are all so sweet and friendly, and their food speaks volumes. Almost makes me wish I was back there just to have their fish!

This is a review for thier catfish and chicken meal.
Growing up in my formative years in Louisiana may have made me a harsh critic – but I’m on a mission to find some decent catfish.
Catfish is not too bad. The ratio of breading to fish is reasonable. I am pleased to report they use nuggets instead of the standard filet.
Fries are the standard crinkle variety that come in freezer bags.
Tenders came in chunks of chicken and were moist. Also, they were lightly seasoned. I was a little wary, as a coworker had complained she had a previous experience that resulted in food too salty for her palette.
I would expect this meal to be at least three dollars cheaper at a randon franchise joint. At the 14.00 price point – I have a hard time justifying buying it again.
Overall, I am going to come back to try something with a bit more artistry involved (read as not fried) and hope for more of that southern experience that I am searching for.

This place has amazing customer service! The food is perfect if you’re looking for a southern cooked meal. The soul shack medley and chicken and rib platters are delicious and come with more than enough food. I will definitely be going back!

This little joint… oh man! The Philly cheese steak was so good. It surprisingly came with mustard… which made it taste so good. It was piping hot and full of lots of meat. I also ordered the shrimp, fish and chips. The shrimp was good, the fries were ok. I didn’t care for the cornbread type breading for the fish, but my husband loved it. The wait was a bit long, but we ordered alot of food. It was definitely worth the half hour it took to get there. We would go again. And again! Loved this place

Great place. Only in town for a couple days. Was brought out by some co workers. Great food, but hurry because the peach cobbler is the first thing they run out of.

So it probably doesn’t help that I just got back from a trip to the South but I found their food to be «okay» and overpriced. The Philly cheesesteak they recommended was pretty bland. The ribs my husband got were good but that was really the only thing we liked and felt they were overpriced. We tried the mac and cheese which was pretty bland and the beans which were good but kind of tough and undercooked. I asked about their coleslaw, they said they use a store bought mix. They also had Kraft BBQ sauce in a bottle. I felt it was very overpriced for a food truck with no storefront, especially when it seems that a good portion of the food is pre-​packaged. Will not be returning.

My family loves this place. They love this place! I hear the beans are to die for and the Mac and cheese should come with a side of mac n cheese. The peach cobbler is the closest I’ll ever come to getting a taste Alabama Grandma’s ever. Good job guys! I’m glad you’re in the neighborhood! PS– as a vegetarian, would it be too much to ask for you to add collard greens or coleslaw to the menu? Then I could enjoy it too!

Tried this food truck today for the first time. A little disappointed they were sold out of baked beans. The meal I had was really good. Their mac & cheese is superb. The only reason I didn’t rate a 5 is because the peach cobbler isn’t tasty. You get a hefty portion of cobbler, just not too good. I’ll be back for certain

I’ll start with the good before the bad. First, I would like to say that they have great customer service. Secondly, they had pictures if you’re the type to eat with your eyes. HamHock Jones has the best tasting BBQ beans I have had so far. It was absolutely delicious and filling.
However, there are some things that they can improve on. I tried calling in for my order but received a voicemail instead, which resulted to waiting. When I finally came back to my break room at work, I saw that drinks were included in my combos which they did not ask me what kind of beverages I would like for my combos.
I’ll try them again next time, hopefully they were have an «off» day.

Good stuff. Mac and cheese. Bbq pulled pork grilled cheese. Good burgers and fries.

Amazing food!!! Make sure to try their Mac and cheese. It’s incredible. The burgers here are to die for!!!

We purchased the Soul Shack Medley which included 2 pieces of delicately fried fish, 3 succulent baby back ribs, 4 slamming wingettes, a slice of bread, 2 drinks, and your choice of 2 sides (we chose the mac n cheese and the baked beans). Ummmm, ummm, good and we most certainly will return. They do accept phone in orders and tax is included in the price of your meal.

This is my favorite place to eat. Great food, great service and will keep you coming back for more. I try to eat something different each visit.
The first time I ate the mac and cheese bacon burger. Wow. What a great Idea and better taste than any other.

Just what lakewood needed I ordered a rib and fish meal with macaroni and potato salad here the goods the ribs would fall off the bone great taste and flavor and not overpowered with bbq sauce the macaroni was home style cooked and the potato salad is home made the fish was battered perfectly and fried to perfection I’m kinda of a well known foodie amongst small food places and they will know me well because I will frequent this place

Came here with my husband for lunch one day and it was amazinggg… the sight of this food makes my mouth water.. .I’ve had the phillyscheesteak and the pulled pork. Both are delicious!

Food truck business is taking off! Down home food that taste so good too! The owner decided to follow his dream and become self employed. He left his job as a nurse.
