Recently I was a bridesmaid in a friends wedding. I was driving the bride to the venue at 12:30 for a 4 pm wedding. While we were driving there the bride gets a phone call from one of the 5 waiters hired for her wedding stating«5 of us are supposed to be coming, but I can only fit 3 in my car!» She is shocked and said she was calling Mike, the owner of the company. So while the waitstaff is supposed to be there at 1:30, she tried repeatedly to get in contact with Mike. He would not answer the phone. Unbelievably, not one waiter showed up! I mean, who does that on someone’s wedding day??? As luck would have it, the caterer who was a one person operation had brought her mom, brother, and a friend with her just to help her get started. They were the three people who ended up being the waitstaff and bartender, though not dressed for it, they did an outstanding job. I took it upon myself to call Mike 2 days later(he didn’t know my phone number, so he answered the phone)… I asked him how he could allow something like that to happen on someone’s wedding day. He claimed to have not found out about it until the day after the wedding and«they all got in trouble!» I recommend that you do not even consider this company. The only reason they get one star is because you can’t write a review with zero stars(though that is what they really deserve!

To follow up my original review, I was finally able to get a hold of Mike, the customer service manager. He didn’t want to talk to me, he wanted to deal with my wife. His mistake. Mike said that the reason the phone wasn’t answered was because of some«religious holiday» BS. You run a business and book weekend gigs and no one can get in touch with you if problems arise? «I’m sorry, I’m sick about this» You let your staff call customers with their travel issues? «They were supposed to carpool, and one guy didn’t want to drive. They are in trouble.» Trouble? Where was the customer service? Where was the backup? What angers me the most is Mike’s casual attitude to almost ruining my wedding. There is one 5 star review on this site that is very suspicious and reads like a plant by the business. As I said before, stay far, far away from these guys.

Awful. 1) Requested 3 waiters. Only 1 showed up! 2) The company did not tell us 2 were not coming. 3) No replacement was sent. 4) Nobody answered the phone — from either us or the waiter who had shown up. 5) No apology whatsoever. The only response I got was after I contacted them the next week asking what happened(to which they said sorry, he had a family emergency and the other one got sick). Of course I’m not arguing that people can’t have emergencies. A business responsible for staffing weekend events, however, should have the competency to handle such a common situation. It was my wedding day, and fortunately there was so much going on that my family entirely took over the situation, called in some friend of a friend’s kids who were in high school and they did a fine job. Should have just gone with teenagers in the first place. Also, Dependable Waiters charges $ 75 «travel fee» per waiter for anywhere outside the immediate area. Their fees are $ 25/person/hour. But, that all depends if they actually come!
