From start to finish Dr. Patel and his staff presented an atmosphere of caring professionalism. He was always checking to make sure I was comfortable and without pain during any procedure he performed. I had no experience and little knowledge to feel confident changing my smile without major input from the dentist. Dr. Patel offered his opinion regarding aesthetics (the look, size, color) when I asked. Dr. Patel’s recommendations and detailed work totally improved my very badly damaged teeth. I love my new smile!

Fantastic staff and Dr. Patel does amazing restorative work. He is our general dentist, however I will DEF be using him for my post ortho restorative work. His hygienists are the best.

Simply said, Dr. Patel is ROCK STAR! I went in today for a crown and a filling or two and I have never in my life has numbing injections that didn’t hurt until today. He is so gentle! He explains everything, checks in with you frequently and was quick!
The office is comfortable and the staff are great. They have always kept everything on time and appointments start when they say they will.
All in all, you cannot get any better. He has a patient for LIFE!

I had never been happy with my teeth. They were too small, the front two were poorly patched with composite a couple of times after a childhood skating accident and I had this weird genetic mutant peg tooth. I made things worse with years of smoking and drinking lots of strong coffee and tea.
My mouth was a mess when I finally had to cave to the pain caused by some infected broken molars. Dr. Kaye and Dr. Patel are artistic wizards surrounded by a staff of compassionate, friendly staff. As my smile was being transformed, I found myself actually looking forward to my next appointment, excited to see the changes and to see everyone at the office again.
When I recommend Lakeway Smiles to friends, the first question they almost always ask is, «Will they judge me?» and my response is always an emphatic, «No!» Sure, they have a healthy professional respect for people who floss and brush regularly, but they also understand that some people don’t and there’s never even a hint of «poor dental hygiene shaming.»

After many bad experiences with other dentists offices, I solicited some friends and family for recommendations and ended being referred to lakeway smiles. My family now uses the downtown location for all of our dental needs. Collectively my family has been here for about 4 or 5 visits and so far our experience has been excellent. The staff is always friendly and makes us feel comfortable and at ease. At this point, I feel I have finally found a good dentist in Austin.

On the eve before a vacation trip, my crown fell out while I was munching on walnuts. (Yes, I have a crown. Don’t all queen bees? Okay, only in my mind.) I thought my vacation was doomed and put in what I thought was a lost cause call to my dentist’s office manager at his Austin location.
Dr. Patel and his staff worked me in at the Lakeway office and I was in his chair within an hour, at 4:45 p.m., 15 minutes before they close. How is that for rapid team response?! The office is serene, staff professional and Dr. Patel is a perfectionist.
