Do not be fooled by this backyard zoo pretending to be a «sanctuary»!!! The owners use the ploy of helping the animals to gain $$$. The hands on playing with the wolf pups is a death sentence. The pups are stolen from their parents when they are days old and are forced to adapt without their comfort. When they are too big and will most likely be too aggressive to be around young children, the pups are sent to deadwood and are slaughtered for their fur. Which is then sold illegally. The owner has no business being near animals. Cages are too small to barely turn around in, being fed by humans is a NO by every educated animal resource and biologist, and having wolves interact physically with young children is extremely dangerous for both wolf and child, and as well the owner chooses to partake in illegal trade and selling of furs. Gross. This is nothing but a factory farm in disguise of a sanctuary. This link will show you how disgusting this place actually is. Please see for yourself and help these animals from being slaughtered for money! Shut this place down.

This is nothing but a slaughterhouse for profit under the façade that it is some kind of petting zoo or educational experience. Don’t be fooled! This place breeds and slaughters animals for one reason.$$$.This horrible woman skins these wolves ALIVE!!! Can you even imagine the PAIN they must go through? It was on the news. She has been in the news several times for cruelty and violations. She has admitted that she sells the furs ILLEGALLY. DISGRACEFUL! This place needs to be SHUTDOWNPERMANENTLY!!! Get these wolves to a real sanctuary!

Disturbing. Owner exploits animals at every stage of their life to make a profit. Kills animals for fur.

Great place! The owners are very kind and sweet. They spent a few hours with my son who is a huge raccoon lover. They went above and beyond and he had the best day ever. They were very knowledgeable about the animals as well. I can’t believe people would not like this place. I say if you don’t like it move on! There is people who love this place and support them. Thank you Fur Ever Wild for making my sons day!

I attended this horrible place in December and it was disgusting. The animals were in mud pits, they appeared lethargic and sickly. This was not at all how I pictured it based on their advertising. I continued my travels(I’m a snowbird) down to Tennessee, I returned home to post this experience. I posted a negative review but it appears the owners complained and had Unilocal remove it. How pathetic. I then discovered that this place has been sued and is in the process of being shut down! This is a thinly diguised fur farm, had I known I would have never visited. This place breeds wolves for their fur, they try to make money when the pups are young, then use their furs. They can try to silence me all they want but I saw the truth with my own eyes. The grounds were an icy muddy mess, they had dangerous Christmas lights hanging everywhere with no regard for or knowledge of GFI and basic understanding of electricity, this is a shameful place, shameful people. They sell the 99 cents packages of hot dogs in two packs for five, you are then suppose to slip the hot dogs in plastic tubes, gross. Awful sickening place.

NOT A SANCTUARY. Animals are farmed for fur. Very, very sad place. Animals pacing in small cages not habitats, you can feed them through tubes, and breeding and playing with wolf puppies? This place has nothing to do with animal welfare and everything to do with profiting. Owners have been asked by the city to remove wild animals and legally they have admitted now that they use wolves to breed, for entertainment purposes, and for skinning for fur. Please consider giving your money to rescue or sanctuary instead. They are pending several lawsuits I found out as well.

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with my visit to this«animal sanctuary.» I visited during the winter with my sister and nephew. Upon entering, we were greeted by a man holding a large fox that my nephew was able to pet, which was very exciting! Upon closer inspection though, we noticed the fox could barely hold his head up and looked like he may have been drugged. The wolves had a fairly open enclosure, but the large cats and other animals(cougars, fox, raccoons, etc.) had shockingly small cages– probably the size of an average dog run. It was very depressing for us to see. We did not see any educational signs near the cages. You are also allowed to feed any of the animals which I found odd because there are many reasons(in human favor) that you should not feed wild animals. Hopefully some wildlife advocates will close this place down and get them transferred to a proper place… or at least require the animals have larger cages.

Fur-ever Wild is an animal sanctuary that has a diverse animal population. They have everything from wild cats(cougars, bobcats) to house kittens that freely roam, annoying Roosters that make a lot of noise and fight your attention(food), Goats(including the fun young jumping ones), porcupines, racoons, foxes, and of course Wolves. My daughter is a huge fan of wolves and Nahanni had 8 wolf pups on(May 2013) and Fur-ever Wild had an opportunity to play and take pictures with them so we went there for her birthday along with 4 of her friends. All the kids had a great time and we spent over 90 minutes playing with the wolf pups along with seeing all the other animals. The main attraction is the wolves that our in the main area and around the premises as well. My favorite is the cougars who were purring and making high pitched Unilocal trying to get our attention. They have enough animals that they need over 800 tons of food a year which is donated by grocery stores with old meat. You can tell its a pretty small run organization but you will easily spend 30 – 60 minutes walking around looking at all the animals.
