W91 degrees in Lakeport, not too hot in here even though fans not working. Oops take that back, it was only cool for a minute compared to hot sun. Egg roll crispy but wish it would have come with sweet and sour sauce. Prawns in my meal delicious and snow peas scarce but good. My chowmein very tasty but my boyfriend’s fried rice had only egg, not okay. He said his sweet and sour pork was below average. I think I ordered the better meal although I have to admit I was starving and had been in the hot sun all day! But my prawns were fresh and super yummy! I was happier with my dinner than my boyfriend. Food probably would be much better if it wasn’t so darn hot in here! Maybe if you come here in cooler weather it would be better! Also waiter nice but difficult to understand. My boyfriend said not coming back but I might. Not too many Chinese restaurants around here :(. Would rate it 3 stars but apparently you can’t change star mistakes lol

Food is OK. Room is kind of loud and echoes. But lunch with tea was only $ 8. Good for the money.

Get the cream cheese wontons! So amazing

Amazing Chinese food! My husband and I are vegetarian and they had great options. We are from out of town and didn’t have high hopes for quality vegetarian food. This place was great. Very authentic Chinese food. Chow mein noodles are great along with the kung pao tofu! Great service. Great food. Great location. Great value :-)

This is where you get an authentic Chinese food when in the area. I always come here when I come up north. The food is amazing. All fresh ingredients all cooking done by the family. Always clean and quiet. Fast family service. Will come again

Fast service & clean & quiet. Food came out very fast. It was delicious. We had the ragoons so delicious & hot, really good potstickers, orange chicken, Mongolian beef, my favorite chicken fried rice & veggies! Everything was really good.
I was very shocked with the quality & very impressed.
Service was good. We were the only people there for a late lunch.

I went for lunch because a friend said it was good. The food came out in a reasonable time, looked good, but had way way too much salt. Typical. I would have preferred to pay more for food that had more delicate tastes. I had hot and sour soup, General chicken with an egg roll. The egg roll was the typical grease filled bland crispy roll, the chicken dish was beautiful, but also bland. If I could give some advice to the wait staff and cooks, taste your food often, the soup had reduced over time and was so salty.

It’s a bad sign when you go in at 12:30 on a Sunday and there’s not one customer in there. But we stayed (despite the strange smell of possibly old cleaning products?). The food was edible. The prices were fine. There were cobwebs around and poor repair jobs and hand written signs. Just not professional, kind of dingy. I won’t go back. My husband probably will, but maybe I’m a bigger food snob than he is.

Disgusting food! Don’t go there. Go to Asian Dragon instead. You won’t be sorry! Best Chinese food in Lake County by far!

The sulky host poured a glass of effing water on a table the wiped it off with a towell. Sanitary standards… not here. Weird weird vibe here. Host stared at us and said nothing when we walked in. Not even Hi. Smelled weird. And we were the only ones in there. We didn’t even order, got up and left… no one said a word.

I don’t think we will be going back. It’s a small family run restaurant that is in desperate need of repairs and they are also a little rude.
We had been looking forward to coming here for some time now but they always seemed to be closed whenever we wanted to go there. FINALLY they were open and we were able to eat there. I was extremely disappointed. Very salty! Yuck!
The food came out fast… Almost too fast! We ordered cashew chicken, orange chicken, chicken chow fun and egg rolls. The orange chicken has a strong vinegar taste and I am also certain the egg rolls were frozen from a box. Overall it’s edible but I don’t think we will be going back anytime soon.

So i came in to get some take out and walked in and wasn’t greeted. The owners aren’t friendly at all, almost rude if you ask me but i didn’t think that much of it. The service was very quick though and prompt but the woman handed me my food and by the time i got home, the sauce was leaking everywhere inside the bag and onto me! I ordered the veggie egg foo young and jeez this stuff was SALTY. I almost couldn’t eat it. I probably won’t eat here again. I’m a local and its a bummer because i love good Chinese cuisine but the terrible service and inedible overly-​salted food left a bad taste in my mouth. literally.

You will not get a particularly warm greeting from the owners or sparkling chit chat with the server. I will tell you to prepare for that right off the bat. However… you will get a yummy dish with fresh ingredients.
It seems to be a family run place and I appreciate the fresh veggies. Those things have value in my opinion.
My advice is to bring a friend to do your socializing with if that’s an important aspect to your meal time experience or just sit quietly and enjoy your meal like we introverts enjoy to do.

My husband and I stopped in for lunch on Valentine’s Day while visiting the area. He ordered the Orange Chicken with fried rice and I had the Cashew Chicken with steamed rice. Both lunch specials came with soup (egg flower or hot & sour) and egg roll. The lunch prices were good, the place was clean, service was friendly and fast and the food somewhat edible, not great. In both of our dishes, the chicken had an odd taste. I can’t quite put my finger on it. I ended up eating just the veggies and rice. My husband ate all of his meal but only because he hadn’t eaten all day. We won’t be going back.

Amazing Chinese food! Have eaten at 100’s of places around the world and this has to be in the top 10. We ordered prawn fried rice, sweet sour chicken (white meat) broccoli with cashews + some appetizers. The flavors were just right! They also make their soup broth, no MSG and the healthiest oils. Service was great. Impressive for a small country town.

I have eaten here half a dozen times since it opened. The food ranges from bad to good depending on what you order. I was not fond of this place as it opened up to a MUCH superior hole in the wall literally next door, that went out of business shortly after (this was 10 years ago)
They dont have fountain drinks (you get cans of soft drinks). It’s expensive for what you get, around 8 – 9 dollars per dish. We ordered sweet and sour pork (Bad. No tangy sour, not really that sweet. The sauce was bad) pork chow mein (Not bad, not good… passable) pork fried rice (passable again, not terrible but not good) and mongolian beef (it was bad, and not spicy at all and a really small portion for 7.95)
Most chinese places I have been to offers free soup if you order a lot of food, or at least something while you wait. The food comes out fast, I give them that. The service every time we have been here was good, just the food is ok at best.

Quite decent chinese here in Lake County, as good as any in Chinatown Oakland. Nothing fancy but good classic recipes with NO MSG! Service is normal. Terri H and Maxine F are both full of BS! The waiter is not developementally disabled he has a speech impediment and his native language is chinese. Also the woman and younger boy are NOT scowling they are Chinese not white people so I do detect some racism here… Grow up people this is a restaurant review site not a platform for your racism and predjudice!

the food is decent (3 stars worth) however the service is horrid!!! i recently attempted to eat lunch here, and by attempted i mean, we walked in and were greated by no one, so we took a seat. A woman comes from the back and SCOWLS at us! and then walks away… ten min later she walks back out, and i took that oppurtunity to ask for beverages… and instead of coming to ask what we would like she yells at us from across the room «what do you want?!» so we ordered our drinks…15min later she still hadnt come to take our order so i walked up to the counter and asked if we could order, she yells «you can wait» at me… i took this to mean we wernt welcome, so i payed for the drinks and quickly left… for lack of better words. THIS PLACE SUCKS!
