Winn-Dixie

I’m such a Publix snob you will hardly ever see me go to any other grocery store unless I am out of town. I scroll through Winn Dixie ads every now and then but end up at Publix. Since I have been reading about Winn Dixie support with Wounded Warriors for Veterans I decided to give them another look. I walked in with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised to see they are stepping up their game. I was not hit in the face with what I call «that Winn Dixie smell «that I have always had with every Winn Dixie I have walked into. It looks liked they have cleaned up their store a lot. My husband pointed out some thick cut pork chops that looked really nice and on sale which we bought. In the past I would of said“oh no I don’t eat their meat I don’t trust them» Only ever bought brand names in the past at Winn Dixie. We also purchased a whole chicken only $ 1.00/per pound on sale. We also found a whole bunch of sale items which I was pleased about. My bill was $ 122 prior to rewards card and $ 64 after and received 20 cents off each gallon of gas. I was very pleased with all the savings. WAY TO GO WINN DIXIE! So glad I decided to give them another chance. I might just have to go back.
