Tapatio’s Restaurante Mexicano

Good place for the money, they even give a military discount. I got the burrito deluxe if I remember right, with bits of steak in it.
I’d recommend it, and will come back.

Not the best location but good authentic Mexican food. Great taco salad and fresh food. Great quick lunch and really attentive to go service. Usually busy during lunch but still very attentive to to go orders. Moderately priced and worth a stop if your looking for a fast, hot and friendly stop for lunch. Closed on Mondays?

Great food, great service can’t ask for more. Even during lunch when it’s busy the food is on your table in less than 15 minutes. Closed on Mondays is the only draw back for me.

Very nice place for authentic Mexican food. Service is good and food is better. Quesadilla with fajita steak is amazing. Prices are very reasonable and this should def be on your list if you enjoy Mexican cuisine.

Excellent Mexican food. I don’t have any other places in Lakeland to compare it to. It when I find good food I go back. I will be back. Great service as well. Some commented on the price, being from NJ I didn’t find the price to be high at all. Average for what I pay in NJ.

Don’t let the location or interior fool you, this is a great place to eat! Drinks and food are reasonably priced and the quality is amazing. This is authentic Mexican food at its best.
Went on a Friday night as a group of 4 at 5:20pm and had no issue getting a table, despite the restaurant almost being full. Complementary chips and salsa were an amazing addition!

Fun time w great friends! The food was excellent with very friendly service. We had a big group of 13 and our waitress did an excellent job! Atmosphere was fun and easy to get around. We will be back again when we are in Lakeland.

We walked into mariachi music. It looked like the whole neighborhood was there. These were promising signs when we first walked into Tapatio’s. The owners were there tonight and you could tell every server and bus boy was dedicated to providing the best service. It was fast and the food was, of course, delicious. We were going in for a quick bite in the middle of our travels, but we our best meal of the weekend.

This place is probably the best Mexican place in Lakeland even better than Abuelos just a more casual atmosphere but definitely more authentic. The chimichanga is really good and not so much the tortas. The drinks are wine based but pretty good. The wife loved the bacon wrapped shrimp. Chips and salsa are wicked good also. Always recommend this place.

If you want Authentic Mexican food, this is the place. The macho burrito is amazing and is enough for two!

Came here on a Thursday night and it was packed. I waited about 10 minutes to put my name in, but didn’t mind that too much as the hostess was also clearing tables. I was surprisingly seated right away and not rushed by the wait staff. I was meeting w friends I haven’t seen in years and stayed until they closed. The food was amazing and the drinks were superb and strong! The only drawback was the booth I was sitting in was very old and uncomfortable. It was a hard plastic with worn in back cushions. But the food and drinks were great and the price was right!

Average Mexican food for an average price. There was nothing spectacular about it but it was pretty busy.

Hands down this is the best restaurant around! The food is delicious. I have been here with many different friends and family members and no one has ever complained. If I could give the staff 6 stars I would!

loved the white cheese dip, beef tacos had a great flavor! tried the fajita, stuffed jalapeños also. The stuffed jalapeos were a disappointment compared to everything else… they were like the frozen ones at Sam’s club. Salsa was amazing a week later! We took some home and the flavor were able to marinate! I want to come back to just fill jars with the salsa!

It has been almost a year since I walked into Tapatio’s for the first time, but I knew it was not going to be my last. I was blown away for a second time by the atmosphere, amazing customer service, and the incredible food. There are only 2 locations in Florida and are listed on the picture of their menu. My wife wanted to eat something that was different than a burger restaurant (what I wanted) and I couldn’t argue because she is pregnant and I don’t want to be locked in the closet again :).
We went on a Saturday around 4pm and the restaurant was packed. We were greeted by a hostess who seated us immediately. We were able to order our drinks about 3 minutes after sitting down by our incredible waiter. I ordered the Enchilada platter that included one chicken, one beef, one bean, and one cheese enchilada. I am not a bean or cheese enchilada fan so I asked if I could substitute it. Tip: They are made whatever way you want, so you can interchange your options. I ordered 2 chicken and 2 beef enchiladas. The meal was about $ 10.25, but does not come with sides like rice and beans. You will have to order that separate. I am glad I didn’t order them because the meal was massive. My wife ordered the Chicken fajitas for about $ 13.00 or so. The meal came with 3 small tortillas, a massive plate of chicken, and another good sized plate of beans, rice, sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, and cheese. The chips came out after we ordered our food. The chips were a perfect combination of crisp, salt, and not too greasy. The mild and spicy sauce were kind of on the weaker end, but tasty none the less.
My wife loved the fajitas. I tasted a piece of chicken after it was out for about 15 minutes and it burned my mouth like it just came out of the oven. The flavor was incredible with the spices they included and the chicken melted in my mouth. Both plates were incredibly delicious. My wife and I could only finish about 60% of our food. I felt bad not eating the rest because I was so full, but wanted to so bad. We were greeted, checked on, and had deliveries made to us by about five different employees. Incredible teamwork and a great tip was in order. I plan on stopping by here at least once a month.

Love these guys… very good food and the prices are very reasonable. Have mostly had great experiances with service. We have only had the one issue with a waitress that was less than nice. .but, that’s the only time out of 10 years. highly recommend this restaurant.
