Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services

After 5:00 on a Friday evening and we discover we have a leak in the main water pipe going into the house. Checking with friends it seems like the most referred plumbers don’t work Saturdays. So I called Roto Rooter early Saturday morning (today) and was called back within 15 minutes to schedule a plumber to come out and Willy was sent out to do the job. He gave me an estimate and I can’t tell you if the price was fair since I just needed the leak fixed. He got the pipes fixed and water flowing by 11:00 am. I would recommend Roto Rooter and I would request Willy.

Last Saturday, my husband tried to fix out shower by replacing a cartridge inside the knob. After going and paying $ 40.00 for it, he came home to put it in. He couldn’t get the old one out, so off to Lowe’s we go again to get a tool to help pull it out. Well, he tried and tried to get it out. He ended up breaking something inside. We ended up shutting the water off. So no toilet, no ice or water, nothing. I look in the phone book (I know, old fashioned. But I panicked, and hey, it still works!).
Anyway, I called this Roto Rooter office. A very nice man answered, and gave me the rate to come look at it, and said the soonest would be 6 – 8 pm. It was around 2:30 when I called. Since it was after hours, there would be a slightly higher trip charge.
I agreed — anything for water!
Well about an hour, or maybe less, later, I get a call from the same man and said they had freed someone up. If it was okay with me they would send someone SOONER! Yes, yes, yes! He also told me that since it was earlier, the trip charge would be less. How often does that happen???
Anyway, a very nice gentleman named Willy came. He looked at it and gave us a price that wasn’t horrible considering what hubby had done. They also don’t charge the trip charge if you actually get the work done.
The service guy, Willy, was awesome. He was very friendly, and didn’t even roll his eyes when he saw the mess my husband made. Points for him! It did take him a while to get the stuck cartridge out, even drilling tiny holes into the wall. (They ended up covered by the big faucet thing anyway) He was there for quite a while. Patience must be at the top of his virtue list! Anyway, he could not have been nicer, fixed it perfectly, left no mess behind. They even wear booties in your home.
All in all, he turned a REALLY crappy day into a not so bad day! Thanks Roto Rooter and Willy!
