Very good. We met people at the restaurant and it was incredibly busy. The food was good, even though it was so busy. The staff was attentive and cheerful even with it being so packed.

Bad service one time can be an accident but twice is a trend. We been to outback a couple times in the last six months and have had the slow, poor service each time. We were quickly seated but that was the end of the service we received. The first time we sat there for 20 minutes and had to find a manager to place a drink order. They apologized but it took 2 hours to have a round of drinks and food(no Desert). Food was below average and the service was very, very slow. We were there last night 12⁄27 and had a similar experience. We were quickly seated but it took 10 minutes before our waiter took a drink order. We received water quickly but the drinks from the bar had not been delivered after 30 minutes so we left. Manny’s is across the street so we walked over there and had great service with above average food.

I usually love my stay at Outback but this recent trip was not so wonderful. Let me start by saying I love the Bloomin’ Onion. If you haven’t gotten it, you need to. I could probably eat that for my whole meal. But I ordered a prime rib sandwich with cheese and onions. I was not impressed. This is my favorite dish at Red Elephant so I thought I’d give it a try here. The bread was very dry and the meat looked and tasted like it was quite possibly microwaved. I did not finish it. I gave three stars because the Bloomin’ Onion was delightful and because I usually enjoy my time there a lot.

WOW wish I had read the reviews before I went. We sat there for 10 mins and not one person acknowledged us. We didn’t even get any water drinks or bread. So after 10 mins we just got up and left there were less then 30 people in the restaurant and it wasn’t busy at all. As we walked out we informed the hosts that we were leaving and that it had been 10mins and they just looked around with a puzzled look on they’re faces. It’s hard to believe that this is the first time and I highly doubt that it is.

I used to think outback was great… not so much. The service was great, but the food seemed processed and like it was warmed up in a microwave without seasoning. Probably never going back there. The franks were good tho

Food was great and our server(Greg) was great and one of the best I’ve ever had. But it took 20 to get our drinks and 45 to get our food. There were only 30 – 40 people in the restaurant on a Wednesday evening at 7pm. Oh yeah there was a roach that crawled out after we finished put dinner. Yum. I wish zero stars was an option. But the manager was super helpful and comped the meal. But we just can’t get over that roach.

Stopped by Outback today for an early dinner. Getting there just before 5pm means not wait, no crowds. Our server was detained but we were well taken care of by other servers until his arrival. When he was able to come on the floor, he was brilliant; we did not want for a thing the entire meal. My wife and I decided to split the 16 oz Prime Rib(add the spices, forget the wood-grill) and added a lobster tail for good measure… oh, and for the side, garlic-mash. Because we were splitting the plate, the server split the salad that came with it as well. Very nice and classy touch. The salad itself is lovely: beautiful greens, cheese, cabbage, red onions, crunchy croutons and a tasty dressing.; this time, we went with Ranch. The entrée was succulent! The Prime Rib, medium rare just like we ordered it. The lobster tail is petite but very tasty(only $ 10 extra). My wife loved the potatoes. The au jus should be served with a straw(it’s that good) and the butter sauce for the lobster is thick and creamy; much better than the usual oily mess at other restaurants. Oh, heck, stick a straw in it too! At the end of the day, plus tip, we spent about $ 50(a little less) and were happy to do so! Excellent service, awesome food, and pleasant atmosphere. While I cannot attest to the quality of every Outback in Lakeland, the Outback on South Florida is the best restaurant that I’ve been to in the area. Dare I say it? Move over Harry’s, you’re not number one in my book anymore. Five stars all the way around for the Outback!

We had the worst experience ever at Outback tonight. Upon entering Outback, we put our name on the waiting list and were told that it would be a 30 minute wait. That sounded like an invitation to Happy Hour, so I went to the bar and ordered a couple of beers — Once I joined my party again, our table was ready. I think we only waited about 10 minutes at the most. I thought we were off to a good start! The hostess brought us to our table and did not say one single word to us. She put the menus on the table and walked away. Several minutes later our waiter came by. He asked us if we wanted any appetizers but didn’t ask us about drinks — could have been b/c we had ½ a glass of beer left, but he still could have asked. After placing our order, another server brought out our salad. At this point, we didn’t have any bread at our table or any drinks. We asked this server to bring us drinks and bread… which we got after another 25 minutes had passed. Once our order finally arrived, one of the steaks(despite ordering it medium rare) was still cold — it appeared to be raw, so we sent it back. I finished my meal and waited another 8 minutes before the steak that was sent back was brought out again(a wait time of about 20 – 25 minutes total). This time it appeared that it was microwaved. We didn’t even stay long enough to eat the steak, it was jut boxed up for take out. I will give Ursula(the manager on duty) credit for addressing our concerns and encouraging us to try them again; however, I was so completely disappointed with the service and the food, it will be a long, long time before I try this Outback again.

I prefer local restaurants over chains, but this Outback has consistently good food and service. We have eaten there multiple times over the years and agree that parking can be a real challenge. Show up early and it’s no problem. I am not a regular meat-eater but enjoy a filet from time to time, and it’s no surpise that the old Steak and Ale nearby went out of business; Outback overwhelmed them.

Located in a strip mall, parking is a bear. But once inside, service is great.(Though you want to avoid Friday/Sat lines after 6 pm.) Quality«chain» fare… scrumptious steak salad with bleu cheese vinaigrette. Also love the Caesar salad, the pork chops, great hamburger! 5÷26÷11 This Outback is open for lunch! We were seated quickly, brought bread promptly and served our pecan and bleu cheese chopped salads quickly. To our delight, these two small salads(about 500 calories) were only $ 4.00! This has a light vinaigrette refreshing dressing. They also have a $ 10 all-you-can-eat soup and salad deal for lunch. Our only complaint is the music is too DAMN loud!!!(and it’s quite chilly in there, bring a sweater)
