I decided to rate this FedEx center a 2 star for customer service, price, and accessibility. The customer service wasn’t terrible, but the associate could have acted like he cared a bit more. He was monotone and didn’t show the interest to want to assist customers. He was assisting another customer and I could sense the frustration in his face and heard it with his tone. He was a nice guy, but was probably just having a difficult day. The equipment was easily accessible, but the black and white printer was out of order, thus causing me to use the color printer which was insanely expensive. I had to print out a document and fax it over. I thought it would be under $ 10 or so. I was charged over $ 8 to use the computer to print out the 7 page document on the«color» printer, when all I required was the black and white printer. I then faxed the documents, which was about $ 1.59 for the first paper and then $ 1.79 for each additional page. I ended up spending about $ 21 to print a basic document and fax it over. I understand the need to charge for services, but that was a bit extreme.

Since my review 5 years ago, Kinko’s was bought by FedEx. My most recent experience was horrendous. There are at least 4 men working in the printing area. It appears none are trained in speedy customer service. I tried to use the automated kiosk for copies but it wouldn’t take my money. Had to wait for a lengthy FEDEX mail order to complete in order to get the guy to walk over and help. My copies are«gray» and not crisp looking. 11c each for b/w, 59c each for color. Single paper color selections are not available. White or white. To get change back from the auto card, you need to re-get in line behind ANOTHER complex mail away(How much does it way if you put this in? How much does it way if you take this out? Can we skip the insurance? These orders take at least 10 minutes BEFORE they are boxed and need a dedicated employee so that quick sales can be taken care of) simply to be refunded $ 1.50. The clerk has no awareness of his surroundings«Who is next?» when the person standing next to me was not even in the store when I was in line the first 9 of 10 minutes. I suggested they put a chair in the area of the automated machines so the more feeble of us could sit as necessary between copies. «If you asked me I would have gotten one for you.»(ummm get in line for that? I think not!) I’m sure he also would’ve cleaned the machine for whiter copies. Good salespeople are alert to everyone in the store and preemptive to issues. This is not a good place for anyone with accessibility issues-they want you to wear the sign on your forehead or shout it out so they can help you. It requires you walking across the store for help and back again, which I did 4 times just to complete my job poorly. The one guy of the 4 who at least appeared to be trying gets the one star. Or maybe there was just no way to give zero stars. :(
