Just tried Bamboo Wok for the first time. OMG… GROSS…I literally took 2 bites of the Garlic Chicken… disgusting. My wife had the garlic shrimp. big mushy and gross. We might as well have taken a lighter and burned the money because we both threw ours directly in the trash. Heading to McDonalds to get something to eat as their food is unpalatable.

This Bamboo Wok is owned by the same guy who owns the Bartow fast Chinese location. This one’s located in the Highland City shopping center near Gator’s. Its menu is pretty standard with other Chinese fast food, but I believe it is independent pricing. It took 10 minutes from placing my order to receiving it to go. I think that’s reasonable. There were at least 4 pick-​ups in that time, so they must do a big phone-​in business. Some meals come in smaller sizes but the «large» easily feeds two people and runs about $ 8 – 10. I ordered General Tso’s as a tofu dish and it was delicious! Seating for about 16 (4 tables of 4).
