It is great when the small things add up to a great experience, and with Abuelos, that is the story. The food is good, and so is the service. I really look forward to their spicy salsa they serve with their chips. I have eaten there on many occasions now, and I have never left disappointed.

I’m apart of a Mexican family who makes very rich mexican food. Never have I been to a Mexican restaurant with a waiter and even a chef who had no idea what chorizo was! I ignore my instant thought and once I had my first bite in my food it tasted very unethic. I would not recommend this to anyone looking for a real tasting authentic Mexican restaurant. Very upset that it was as bad as it was…

Two times I’ve been here. Two times I got sick. Almost instantly. …the bathroom was out of soap. Toilet paper… no joke. This last time they served me rotten shrimp. Omg. Along with our server. Will never go back. …ps…bring your own to. You’ll need it

Abuelos is a fantastic Mexican restaurant. The food is extremely good. The tacos are delicious and so are the enchiladas. My favorite appetizer is the queso dip it is very good. So I gave this restaurant a 5 star because the people are nice and the food is sensational.

The chips and 3 different dips were excellent I had the chimichanga and my husband had the pork medallion– both dishes were delicious well presented and appetizing to the eye. Will be definitely coming back here for dinner

What a great Valentines experience! We each had an order of steak fajitas that were delicious but what made it special was Kyle. We would definitely come back to this location for his service. Food came in a timely manner, his suggestions were definitely worth trying and he was attentive and polite. Place was extremely busy that day but food and service were top notch. Thank you Kyle for a wonderful Valentine dinner.

Yessss! This is in the middle of no where but worth the drive!!! We drive up to an hour to come here because of how amazing the food is. I went to the one in South Carolina for the first time and had such a great experience when I got back to Florida looked for this place and found it! The enchiladas are incredible and the papas loaded! Top it off with an awesome margarita or draft corona! Yum yum!!!

I went with a co-worker during a business trip. We had the handshaken margaritas, the guacamole and we split the fajitas (serving for one). The chips and salsa were awesome, the service was fast, price was reasonable and food was so delicious. Definitely would go again!

Best Mexican in the area. I get the pick 3 enchilada. One cheese, one avocado, and one spinach. All with different sauces. On the side I get black beans, cilantro lime rice, and the potatoes. Amazing. The queso is also very good and they have a spicy salsa as well just ask for it

Great food. Good ambiance. The only reason I’m giving a 4 instead of a 5 is that their bathrooms were not clean, water all over the floor. No toilet paper and just really grungy.

The fajitas were pretty good, the cilantro lime rice was weird, it had some strange flavor that reminded me of soap, the mashed potatoes were the best part of the meal, they were delicious. Our server was friendly and attentive, she refilled our salsa three times, unfortunately, what that translates to is that it took more then 45 minutes after we ordered to receive our food and then the chicken fajitas that my husband ordered turned out to be beef. He chose not to address it as we had already waited so long and we had after dinner plans. He did say the beef was good, it just wasn’t what he ordered.

Abuelo’s is definitely American mexican food, not very traditional Mexican. The food is extremely delicious for being Americanized. I ordered the Enchiladas Itzel (2 beef in a meat and cheese sauce) and Mexican rice. The meal was filling and delicious for about $ 11.69 and my wife ordered the bean and cheese burrito plate with Mexican rice and papas con queso for $ 8.99. Both plates were delicious. I reviewed with a 4 because the service was a bit odd. We were greeted by our waiter with the question, «what time is it?» I responded with the time and he responded by stating he was bored. He also mentioned throughout the night that he was 1 write up away from being fired. Great place, but an odd day for service.

My husband and I was here for lunch recently. Our server, Mirabelle (hope I spelled her name correctly), gave us THE best service we have ever experienced at this location.
As I have stated before, I hate the sampling salsa dish, after sampling the 3 sauces, you are to tell your server your favorite and they will bring you a larger serving.
Mirabelle noticed which salsas my husband and I were eating, and just brought us each our favorites along with more chips. She was very attentive to our needs, we did not have to ask for anything. Kudos to Mirabelle!
This is my FAVORITE restaurant, but the low stars are for the new dish they are using to serve their salsa in for the chips, holds about 3 tablespoons of salsa.
I added another star to my review, after the manager explained the small sampling dish for the salsa. Our favorite salsa is anything but the green.
I want to add, the food and service at Abuelo’s is 5 STARS.

Visited Abuelos over the weekend for the first time. The food was delicious and the service was on point. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very welcoming I and the wife will definitely be returning. I do wish that they would be a little more authentic though with they’re dishes it was more on the tex-mex side then on the Mexican side but all in all it was pretty good food; but I still miss my carne Asada from back in Chicago. Oh yeah and it seems like management is a little to comfortable here the table sitting behind us was being catered too by what appeared to be a female manager and she was more concerned with her friends than with the rest of the restaurant.

Have you had your injection of cheese, fried substance and beans? If not, come and get it! There is nothing authentic about Mexico here and the only plus I can think of is that it has a nice first impression with the design layout.
The lunch specials are about $ 8 and up. Every table is given a basket of chips and generically bland salsas. My taco and avocado enchilada was nothing to boast about. Service seems scripted but done with a smile.
