For local sushi… Hands down the best in the area. Try the wasabi pork dumpling appetizer. We had Dragon, Volcano, a chef’s special.

Great ramen in the suburbs. Taiwan Ramen has just the right spice with rich broth. Will be back soon.

This is a hidden gem. I’m not on the sushi bandwagon, so I cannot comment on the sushi experience. I can however, talk about their Ramen. If you’re reading this, you obviously know that I’m not talking about the Ramen from a package. This is the real deal. I absolutely love their Spicy Kotsu Ramen(ask for the same with pork belly instead — wow!) Depending on the type of Ramen, you will get a different soup base. The one’s I mentioned are miso based. Comes out screaming hot and the vegetables are super fresh and still crisp. The noodles are good. Meaning, they are most likely packaged and not fresh(this is not confirmed — just a guess). I’ve been to other places where the noodles are truly fresh and made in house. Overall, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant itself is clean and reminds me of just about any other sushi based restaurant(not a bad thing at all). I live in the area and always willing to support local businesses. It makes it even better thought when the business nails it. Go to this place!

We like sushi Kushi and would recommend to others! It’s a quant location, small, and intimate! The location in Lake Zurich is newer– I believe– so we have only been several times. Each time we have been we’ve had good experiences. The soup bowls are amazing

Love this relatively new place… quaint, clean with good fresh sushi. The staff is friendly and attentive. Each of the rolls we ordered were perfectly executed. If the allowed half stars I would give them 41⁄2 stars. I highly recommend you all try this new spot.

Sushi Kushi 4ME! This hidden gem is phenomenal! Not only are the employees amazingly friendly(always greet you with a smile!) but the food is fantastic! I don’t even eat sushi but their homemade ramen is mouthwatering! The tan tan ramen with ground chicken and garlic is to die for! We get takeout once every couple of weeks and is always hot and on time! We’re SO happy we found Sushi Kushi and will continue to eat their as long as they are there! Try it out… you WONT be disappointed!

My lovely co-worker recently got me on the Ramen bandwagon, and I was on the hunt for a local place to get my fix. Someone suggested Sushi Kushi 4 U, so I gave it a go. Came in on a week night, around 6pm. We were greeted warmly by the Sushi Bar Chefs(do they have a formal name??) and the hostess. Seated immediately. Service was great — quick and friendly. I went with the Ansari Shio Ramen, which is a chicken based broth with a TON of clams and mushrooms and pork belly and bean sprouts and peapods and corn and a bunch of other yummy fixins’ that seriously made this best Ramen I’ve ever tasted. Fun fact — Shio means Salt(at least that’s what my waitress told me) so if you’re not into that kinda thing, you may wanna skip this particular variety. Anyway, all the flavors worked amazing together and I’m now sitting here daydreaming about my next visit back. Fortunately for me, I live 5 minutes away so I see another trip here in my immediate future. Go! You won’t be disappointed :)

Went there for lunch today. Had their Ton Toro Ramen. Delicious! I’ll come back to try other items listed on their menu. If you haven’t tried it, hesitating to go for whatever reason, just go! I believe you’ll like it too. I’m glad they’re located here in Lake Zurich!

A Quality Japanese spot to go to in the burbs. You can get many traditional dishes here done nicely. The fish quality is excellent, most suburban Japanese restaurants don’t have toro and SushiKushi has both types. The presentation is always great. The tempura is some of the best as they make the batter correctly so it frys up light and crisp as it should be. The udon broth is better than most places and the noodles are nice and chewy. The staff is very nice and do a great job. Sometimes it can be a bit slow when busy but they are always aiming to please the customer and give a good experience!

Once in a while, you run across a menu where everything looks delectable. Rarely, but once in a while. That’s what we found at Sushi 4 U – a delectable menu, followed by delectable entrees. While this was our first time at this sushi restaurant, we were not surprised at the menu. All surprise was taken away when we walked in to find the hostess, sushi chef and crew all from a Lake Forest restaurant we had loved when they were there. They had disappeared and now magically reappeared here. Good fortune for Lake Zurich! We sat down at the sushi bar and got caught up with goings-on. This restaurant is subtly attractive. It was a quiet Sunday night so it’s hard to say how efficient they are from observation. Our waitress though, after not seeing us for ages, still had a memory of likes and dislikes. She was attentive to our every need. As the evening proceeded, other guests would leave – gracious customers, appreciative, and the staff, smiling and thanking them for the patronage. We ordered Carpaccio(three selections: tuna, salmon and kanpachi with cilantro and chives in a special sauce), Teriyaki steak and a Sunflower roll(spicy tuna and avocado roll topped with mango, spicy mayo, eel sauce & tempura flakes). What do you want from a sushi restaurant? Freshness. And it was very fresh. All quite good. All in all, a very enjoyable evening. Go and enjoy – make friends. You will be greeted by a friend-making group who offer great sushi and smiles from their work and you most likely will enjoy your evening immensely.

One of 4 locations, this location stands out clearly as they focused on quality, service and presentation. Do not justify the strip mall location as a judgement decision The ambiance as you enter will put these strip mall visions to rest. From the freshness of food to the service to the changing led lights on the wall it stands out on top. Like the other locations we are loyal to the chain of sushi kushi locations. Never are we disappointed at any locations. Highland park, Vernon hills, lake forest or here. Enjoy Domo

Wow! The best one of all the Kushi restaurants. Found it when searching for an open restaurant on Christmas Eve day and am thrilled to be lucky enough to try it. The best scallop roll in my life, a king crab appetizer that is too amazing to aptly describe. It was hot, buttery, a touch spicy and served in two beautiful nori wrapped pillows of perfectly seasoned rice. The sashimi is the most flavorful! White tuna, fatty tuna, yellowtail, fluke, salmon, uni, you name it. Dipping sauces(beyond Soy) are flavorful Tempura veggies and shrimp are light and delicious. Negi beef is tender and not to sweet. This place is a bit smaller than the other Kushi restaurants so pretty soon when word gets out its going to be hard to walk in and get a table immediately. It’s going to be that popular. Well done Sushi Kushi 4
