Truly at a loss for words… Never in my 8 years of having acrylic nails have my nails looked this bad. Not only were more than half of my fingers bleeding the gentleman doing my nails fought me about the shape. I should have just left then… I’m going somewhere else tomorrow to have them completely re-​done. I am beyond embarrassed of what my nails look like.

I came here according to the reviews here and I am not disappointed! People are really friendly and nice, a lot of options of colors and good price.

They always do a wonderful job here. It’s a relaxing and quiet environment. Julie especially does a great job. My go-​to nail salon in Lake Zurich after being to pretty much every other one in town.

Went here for a no chip manicure and pedicure on a Thursday but made an appointment just in case. I had Julie who did an amazing job. It was $ 55 for both services. You get a $ 5 discount if you get a no chip and pedicure otherwise it’s $ 60 if bought separate. I will definitely come back here again.

Went one time. Will not be back. Gentleman who started my nails did such wide application of the gel, it forced the lady who filed them to have to file my skin on nearly all fingers. OUCH. Other than that, no issues except no ability to walk-​in, and they were late for my appt.

I have had several excellent mani pedis here. I am particularly fond of Julie. She is very sweet and her work is flawless. I absolutely love the way her no chip turns out. It’s 5 dollars more than most places, but if you have Julie is worth it.
I would also recommend for waxing.

I have never written a review on Unilocal before as I find them to be a playground for competitors to write bad things about other companies. However today I had the worst experience in the 25 years I’ve been getting my nails done and have to warn people. I’m sad to say, I too was a new customer and had an unusually horrible experience twice in a row… therefore I will NEVER be back.
I have an odd advantage as I worked my way through college as a nail tech in Florida. So I know salon etiquette, but more importantly, I know when a technician messes up & doesn’t know how to fix it.
I too waited my turn, telling the owner (female technician) I had a meeting in an hour & would get a full set if she could take me now (after I waited 40 min — when she told me only «15 minutes»). However just 15 minutest into it, she serviced everyone that walked in the door; one with a broken nail, one wanted a design & she even stopped to take an eye brow & lip wax that also just walked in. So needless to say, 1 hour later I left with a set of acrylic nails that were not filed or painted because she couldn’t just service me. –Yes, later that night I pulled out my old box of nail goods and finished them myself…
Today the husband (co-​owner) did my nails and they were awful, one was crooked — it looked like a hook! My two favorite nails are my pointers, I always get designs on them but today that was not the case as he glued my left nail on crooked and tried to tell me my nail grows like that! Funny I walked in the door with a straight nail! After he argued with me, he proceeded to yell at me — refusing to fix it and slammed his tools down. His wife took off the nail and she put it on straight and it looked fine.
But that’s not even the worst part, while his wife was fixing his botched job, the husband continued to complain about it to another customer sitting right behind me! I had to defend myself again and he actually started yelling at me again! A woman getting her nails done next to me spoke up and told him «you should be saying you are sorry and fix it. She is the customer. You are going to lose a lot of customers like this, including me.». Then he shut up!
I have never been spoken to like that in my life and along with that woman, I too will never be back. I should have made the effort to go to my favorite salon in Deer Park, Doris is not only an excellent nail tech, she is friendly & respectful. and would have never glued my nail on crooked & refuse to fix it.

I wanted to try this salon and walked in today, no appt., to have a full set put on. The nail technician was working on someone else and I patiently waited my turn. I waited for about 10 minutes when another woman walked in for a manicure. To my knowledge she had no appt and the nail technician asked ME if I could wait 15 minutes to do her manicure. I believe she was a regualr, but I too could become a regualr! I believe that this was very poor business! Isn’t it first come, first serve? I left not having the time to wait and the nail technician took his «regualar’. I believe in giving business second chances, but in all honesty, I was very disappointed!

Coco nails is the best nail salon in Lake Zurich! They are courteous, kind, and accommodating! The staff there is very pleasant. It is very clean and their pedicure chairs are nice and new. Not to mention, they give a great pedicure and manicure!

Julie and her staff are delightful — service with a smile. Very clean salon. I highly recommend that you use their services.
