Tri-​rail is fast safe and is getting better every year. Plus it beats the traffic on I95.

Simple enough commuting system. I used this to take a train to the Miami Airport from West Palm Beach. Because it was a weekend the times the trains ran weren’t super convenient, but it did the trick. Make sure that you buy a ticket before boarding because they do not sell them on the train, which I found out. Luckily the conductor was nice enough to let me go with a warning instead of fining me $ 50. He said people have been subject to jail time for this (perhaps people who are written up frequently). Anyway, after getting off at the last stop, which is for the Miami Airport I took a shuttle bus that basically waits outside the train. Simple as pie.

When I need to get to Ft Lauderdale airport, I leave 3-​hours early to allow for at least 1-​hour dealing with late trains.
