Howard’s BBQ

Only open on the weekends. Have been a number of times. Hard to find good brisket around Florida. Howard and staff didn’t disappoint!

Open every Saturday. I wait all week to sink my teeth in his bbq. He has the best brisket I have ever tasted and my favorite is rib and shrimp with Mac n cheese and greens. Sweet potato pie is the bomb.

Howard’s deserves every bit of every star. Superb, authentic, down-​home BBQ. Get there early as they frequently run out of popular items. You can call ahead if that’s your thing. Take out only.

Sonny’s in Lake Worth closed down, so I was looking for a new BBQ joint nearby and I’m glad I found Howard’s. I love BBQ, but usually can’t get it because I’m poor and when I eat it my stomach can’t handle it and gets upset. The prices are a little high for the dinners approx $ 12, but if your poor like me just get a sandwich or half pound of meat which will run you approx $ 7. Another difference is you take the food home or eat it standing up, so you save all that money from tipping a waitress.
I have never had a good beef brisket experience. Usually I get pulled pork because it is tender and juicy — every brisket I have ever had was dry and hard. The half pound of brisket I got was heaven. Every single bite was tender and juicy. There was good flavor to it and I did not get the stomach ache that I usually get afterward so I think there is an element of quality/​purity. Looking forward to trying their ribs which they promote.
There were some young guys maybe teenagers running the inside truck operation and they were very friendly. Said they had been serving the bbq on location for three years now. When they gave me the bbq and I told them I was a new customer, they joked that they would see me next weekend probably because it happens all the time. The only question I had was what type of ribs were in the rib sandwich and they told me it was the spare ribs.

Many years ago there was a guy in Delray that made the hands down best bbq. Unfortunately he passed onto the great bbq in the sky. I have found myself looking for that same favor ever since. I search high and low with no luck, till now!
Follow Unilocalers I have found bbq nirvana once again!!! This is true down home southern bbq. Its cooked low and slow with love and passion. You can truly taste, that this man has put everything he has into this food.
So when you pull up in your car. The first thing you see is a big cage with a smoker. Also an old truck. But don’t let that fool you. You are about to get some awesome food. Hey back in the day you got the best bbg from a guy with a smoker in his yard. Now days he has a truck. lol
While some things have changed. It’s so good that the heart can still be found. We have ate there 3 times now.
We both agree Howard is the man!!! The ribs are done perfectly. They are fall off the bone with just the right amount of Smokey favor. The brisket is just to die for. He even makes the sides home made. What more could you ask for.
He’s only open on Saturday and thank god cause I would get fat. It would be a daily thing for sure. But the one day a week makes me look forward to Saturday. Fyi call your order in if you can’t be by 4pm cause he always sells out.

Howard’s BBQ is a box-​van by the side of the road, with a huge smoker on a trailer. They are in a convenience store parking lot. By far the best barbeque place that I have found in Palm Beach county. Their beef brisket is the best that I have ever had anywhere. They are only there on Saturdays, and it’s best to call ahead as sometimes they are catering a Wedding or some type of special event, so they aren’t there. Highly recommended when you want barbeque on a Saturday!

The wife and I both love the food. If you haven’t tried it yet I highly recommend doing so soon we have been customers since he started there. Always good food!

Went to try out this Howard BBQ. Mann the food was good and side order too. Love the rib, chicken, and fried shrimp. Rib and Chicken tender. =)

Awesome BBQ on Saturdays. Do yourself a favor and forget the BBQ places in Broward, this is where it’s at!
