This restaurant is just changing ownership. The chef is a superstar! He learned his craft at a 4 Michelin Star restaurant in Europe and came back to the US to work in the countries most notable restaurant like Le Francaise in Chicago and La Costa in San Diego. This is the best this culinarily that has happened to the area. I can’t wait for the grand opening.

My family went here for my wife’s birthday, and it is reservation only. The place is real small and very over priced. I got a pasta dish(they were out of Alfredo sauce) with chicken added which was the cheapest thing on the menu for($ 24). For four of us to eat with a bottle of wine it came out to be($ 178). Let me remind you they were out of everything too. My grandfather in-law got the trout and it was basically all bread no fish($ 29). My grandmother in-law got the veil which was($ 32). My wife got a steak(filet mignon) which was an 8oz cut with a scoop of mashed potatoes as a side($ 34). I will never come back to this place. The customer service is awful. The portions are very small as well. If I had taken any pic of the food I would post them. Highly recommend going else where this place is crap. Hope this helps future customers.

The food was really great; the service, not so much. We had a reservation for 7 pm… It is 10pm & we literally just walked out of the restaurant. Our«waitress» was less than nice or attentive to our table. We had a party of 10, and weren’t told that they«don’t do separate checks for parties over 6» until we asked for our checks. We ended up having to all write out exactly what we ordered for the waitress because she hadn’t kept up with who had gotten what. Unbelievable! However, props to the chef/kitchen staff.(Try the shrimp+crab bisque and Eggplant Napoleon)

My family owns a home in Lake Toxaway and we frequent BT every time were up here. Our last meal here was very disappointing. I found mold on a pepper in my salad and kindly showed the waitress. She took it away and never addressed the issue again. Most restaurants will give some type of apology or comp you a portion of your meal. Finally, my husband asked if she passed along the info to the chef and she became very curt and cold toward us. When the end of our meal came, she neglected to offer us coffee or dessert and told us she was bringing us our ticket. Very rude and very disappointing.

The trout is good but the sides are old school country club style, for the choices around this one is decent. One bright spot is the dessert, most of them are house made and tasty.
