Kaliki’s Hawaiian Shave Ice

Kids love it. Fun environment. Shave ice just as good as the real deal in Hawaii. Customer service is 2-​stars at best and painfully inefficient and slow.

Had a craving for shaved ice even though it was cold out. Dragged some friends along with me too. The selection of flavors is mind-​boggling but they do have some flavor combos that sounded good. I got the Maui Wowi with pinaple coconut ice cream in the center. I was stoked that they had Cascade Glacier Ice cream but they didn’t have my favorite flavor, huckleberry. Wha wha wha… :-(the single servings are large enough for 2 in my opinion. They certainly have enough syrup in the shaved ice for 3 people. I enjoyed the flavors combined with the ice cream but I felt like a had a serious sugar high afterwards. So did my buddy and he finished every last drop… lol I think next time I’ll only get the ice crram and skip the shaved ice.

Just tried tonight based on a friends recommendation. Gourmet Ice Cream best in Snohomish county. Loved the friendly service was encouraged to taste before buying everything was delicious. Hard part was deciding on two flavors LOL… I highly Recommend.

Awesome place, the owner was very friendly and sweet. Gave my little one a free scoop of ice cream. We got a regular Hawaiian shaved ice and it was amazing it was as good as the ones at the islands. I definitely will be coming back. If your around the area you should stop by.

Drinks are pretty good, kid loves picking a new flavor every time we go and the blonde lady is super nice she always goes out of her way to interact with us :) The pricing is okay. I haven’t had the shaved ice although I did notice their portion size for a large shaved ice is HUGE!!! Overall it’s a really great place to have in our community.

This place is delicious! Mmmmm brings back great memories. I bought the regular size with the watermelon flavor and it was so good I highly recommend. The quantity is large

I had Hawaiian shaved ice for the first time at the Evergreen state fair this year. I’m hooked. So this weekend I decided we should go to Lake Stevens and give this place a try. They were super welcoming and helpful. They answered all my questions without getting annoyed or making me feel stupid for asking them.
I was pretty happy to see that they had sugar free flavors. However… ick. I got 3 flavors, 2 sugar free and one regular. The sugar free are pretty bad. If you want to try them, I’d suggest getting half sugar free and half regular. That sugar free is pretty bitter. It’s sweetened with maltitol, not splenda. The owner was very helpful and showed us the package with all of the ingredients on it. Next time I’m just going to take the blood sugar spike and get the sugared syrups!
They are kind of expensive. I got the jumbo for $ 11, my husband got the large for I think $ 8? Either way, it was over $ 19 for two shaved ice. Yes they were really big, but still, it’s a bunch of ice. It’s not very often that you can say something is cheaper at the fair, but this is one of those times! Still, it was fun and we’ll go back. Just not as often as I’d like to because… ouch.

Great place perfect shaved ice. Great service. I would recommend this place 100x s over. Prices are up there but you get what you pay for and its well worth it. I hope Lk stevenites feel the same. Every time we get a great place here we lose it. Support our local treats so we can keep them please and thank you.

Great treat for kids and adults. The store was very clean. Lots of flavors to choose from. Will definitely take my kids again.

Delicious! Definitely get the kind with ice cream — I always get vanilla (can’t go wrong).
Good customer service too — been in quite a few times now and the staff is always helpful and friendly.
Get a large one cause it goes way faster than you think!

As a time-​tested shave ice connoisseur (self-​appointed), I really enjoyed the shave ice here. The ice was super-​fine — not even close to snow cone texture, which is the worst — and the variety of flavors was huge. Customer service was nice, the owner helped my mom pick out a rootbeer float shave ice, which she loved.
Also, I read something on here about there being no bathrooms? When I went, there was definitely a bathroom, perfect for washing kid’s sticky hands.

I like the variety of flavors offered and the cheerful staff. Try the cotton candy flavor it is delicious. I wouldn’t order a shake though I watched an employee put a plastic spoon in a blender. The staff seemed a little unorganized. And the ground and table we’re sticky.

I do commend this place for being fun, especially with the décor and the ambience. I actually felt I was in the tropics, despite the gloomy weather outside. the music was of mainstream media; it was interesting as it was remixed to the typical «tropical» tune.
the staff was nice and polite and somewhat accommodating. I suppose I was expecting to feel very engaged but I was left in dismay as they weren’t that engaging.

the flavor of what I ordered was okay. nothing too exciting. their servings are HUGE. I got the smallest one and it’s still too much. I sampled one of the flavored for their ice creams (pistachio to be exact) and I did not like it.

They have something for everyone; ice cream, coffee and of course the best shave ice I’ve had since I lived in Hawaii. The people are super nice and go out of their way to please. I love that it is a local family ran business!

Lots of shaved ice flavor selection with extras like adding ice cream or condensed milk. they also have a lot of ice cream flavored and serves tullys ice cream. Hawaiian theme inside that makes you feel like you are in Hawaii. The owner is very nice and let us try a bunch of stuff. Will go here again.

Went here today with my sister because we had a craving for shaved ice. Upon walking in, not one employee acknowledged us. There were 3 employees and the owner. It wasn’t busy nor was it slow. About a handful of people waiting for their orders. Had my sister not had been here before, we both would be clueless as how to order. Apparently, you have to write your order in on these little slips and then hand them to the front where you pay. It was a little confusing. Anyways, we filled out our little slips with what flavors we wanted and if we wanted any additional toppings or wanted to add ice cream. We go up to pay and basically stood there for quite some time waiting. The owner walked past us a few times and didn’t acknowledge us. Eventually, we pay and we wait. A few more people come in and the same thing happens… They weren’t acknowledged as well. I understand the workers there are young but they need to be trained to multitask. A simple hello would have been fine. And as for the owner, if you want your business to do well — please stop being a snoot (my sister even mentioned that the owner was the same way last time she was in… Like seriously??? COME ON). Word of mouth travels. And travels fast! So even if the shaved ice is good, customer service can definitely affect business! I understand it’s still a fairly new business but still… please work on that. People can have patience waiting for their shaved ice… But you can only have so much patience when it comes to customer service. :)
Oh and portions pretty good and good variety of flavors. They also serve ice cream and coffee.

Also noticed other customers confused the moment they walked in… Employees don’t take the time to greet their customers

I’m downgrading from my original four stars, the shaved ice is still super delicious! HOWEVER — I’ve been back a couple more times and there are definitely some issues.
They make milkshakes too, which I’m sure are delicious, but they use this blender and they let it run for, easily, 3 – 5 minutes and it is SO INCREDIBLY LOUD! Ear-​splitting! When we were in there last, they made 3 milkshakes in the time we were there and it was so loud we were having to yell to talk.
Also, apparently, there’s no bathroom? This is a big problem when you have kids with sticky hands.
In addition — and I feel really bad saying this — while the kids that work there are REALLY nice and helpful, the owner (?) is pretty grouchy and I’ve heard her arguing with the kids and being really curt with them. Her attitude makes customers feel pretty unwelcome. I took friends here to try it out (their first time) and even they mentioned it — so then, I knew it wasn’t just me.
There are problems here. And that makes me really sad. I want them to be successful.

Came in with my mother/​father and sister in law. They are from Hawaii it was fun, the ice cream was so yummy :)

Real Hawaiian treat. New business, they offer Tully s coffee, ice cream and lots of yummy flavors for shaved ice. been here 3 times now, Seen bad reviews, but I have yet to see anything bad here. Always professional, and go out of their way to make it a fun experience. Highly recommend this place, as I Love Shaved ice. Truly a Hawaiian treat.
