The 5 star reviews must be from quite a while ago. I went there in December 2014 in the middle of steelhead season. The selection of tackle looks like they’re going out of business. I see empty shelves, unknown brands, and well, I wouldn’t waste my time going there unless it was an emergency. The workers are really snooty, like they have some awesome store. Sorry, it’s far from awesome.

Upon moving to Lake Stevens I soon found out about this place by a basic search. It’s only about a half a mile from my place and it has that fishing shop feel that chains can’t offer. The people that run the place are very nice folks. We just went in for licenses today and bought all of our tackle to gear up for the summer. We had planned to go fishing tonight and tomorrow and I realized we forgot to get worms somehow. I pulled up right as they were locking up and although it was closing time they were willing to let me buy my worms. Now that is going out of the way if you ask me. It wasn’t like I was buying an expensive rod or something. They are all informed of fishing in the area, and the place is comfortable. They also have a great selection for any avid fisherman. This place is perfect.
