Jeanne’s Personal Art

This is one of the best studios in the Midwest and the oldest continuously running studio in the State of Indiana. It has been owned and run by Jeanne Fritch since the early to mid 1980’s in the same location. Jeanne is a legend in tattooing and one of the very few renown female artists to emerge from the 1970’s when tattooing and having tattoos was still very much taboo. She is domestically and internationally recognized for her work and has won some of the art’s most prestigious awards. Jeanne has done all of my work and I usually don’t go more than 2 – 3 days without a random person stopping me and wanting to view and talk about it.
Jeanne possesses a level of professionalism that is absolutely unmatched by ANYBODY in the tattoo industry and her attention to detail is equally impressive. Getting tattooed by Jeanne is a wonderful and comforting experience. The studio is also home to Deanna Vandiver, an up and coming amazing female artist who has mentored and apprenticed under Jeanne. Deanna most recently won the artist and people’s choice award for a large tribal back piece at the NTA’s national tattoo convention which she completed on a friend of mine. If you are looking for a master tattoo artist, have high expectations, and want first class treatment that any client/​customer deserves then look no further.

I have been going to personal art inc to get work done for about two years. They are very professional, clean, comfortable and most of all friendly and kind. They make it all about the customers that walk in unlike other shops where the artists are put on pedestals. They are honest and very reasonable with their prices and work with their clients to get exactly what the client desires. Jeanne and Deanna are both very talented and experienced artists. Where do I start? There is simply no better place, and I searched for years before starting my collection. Jeanne Fritch has over 30 years experience and is the most kind, patient, and talented artist in the business. I never feel rushed and the level of comfort, thoughtfulness, and respect is second to none. Both pieces I have gotten are stunning, and good size pieces. This is no tattoo factory like the thousand of other places you see everywhere else. When you get work done here, you are family, plain and simple.
Every aspect of the tattoo is thoroughly planned and talked about before going forward. Jeanne is a perfectionist, and insures that every drop of ink is perfect, and works until it is. The equivalent of a hospital bed is provided for comfort, along with the option to bring and watch your own movies and also have a friend or two with to make the experience as comfortable as possible.
Beyond all of that, she is honest, and up front with all costs. There are no hidden or surprise fees, no unnecessary upsells trying to squeeze more money out of you. Her quote is her quote and the only thing that changes that is if you change the size or design of the tattoo that was quoted.
As for the other artists there, I only know Deanna, and though I have never had work done by her, I can say what I have seen has been outstanding as well. I can though, speak of her as a person and say that she is also a wonderful and kind person. She has come in while I have been having work done in a particularly painful location and spent time just hanging out and talking, helping to distract me from the pain. I simply can’t say enough good things about her and Jeanne.
So if you are in the market for a stunning tattoo, want fair and honest prices, and have a comfortable and stress free environment with good people who don’t rush you in and out the door, personal art inc is the only place to go.
Sure there are other great artists out there, but few have the experience and work ethic, and none of them give the complete experience and comfort level that you get here. Everywhere else is just second best. I have no reason to ever get work done anywhere else.
