Maybe we should not have ordered the chicken! Driving through town, read the reviews and it looked great. But none of the other reviews were for chicken. Sides were fine, but the chicken was so dry we almost couldn’t eat it. Also the facilities for eating in were very bare, and not very comfortable.

Great lil BBQ joint on the East side of 27. Friendly folks and tasty food. Had the lunch pulled pork plate with baked beans and collards, with a sweet tea, out the door for $ 7.18. can’t beat that! Try the spicy bbq sauce, it’s not too hot, but has a nice bite and adds nice flavor.

We were driving through on our way to Miami and stopped here based on the reviews. The sandwiches are great and you can get them on a bun or Texas toast! Coke slaw is rich and creamy. I don’t eat collard greens, but my wife said they were good. The location shown on the map is not correct. They are next to Duncan Donuts, a little north of what is shown.

The pulled turkey sandwich was great. The meat on the ribs falls off the bones. If you are going to eat BBQ in Lake Placid this is the place.

We spied this little shop right off 27 and decided to give it a try. There are few places open for dinner in Lake Placid. I hope this one sticks around! I had the smoked turkey and it was moist and flavorful. The greens still had some bite to them and they were tasty! We’ll definitely be returning!

Really good food. From the brisket which is super tender to the pork, chicken, smoked turkey and really good sausage. Great sides and Coconut cake that is to die for.
Very friendly staff. Good portions.

Delicious brisket, scrumptious sauce, friendly staff– some of the more delicious BBQ that I’ve had in 22 years living in Highland’s County. Stop by and check it out if you are passing through Lake Placid. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
