Was looking for local coffee, this isn’t the spot. Coffee was far shy of expectations. I didn’t have any food though, and it looked like they had large menu. Hate to say it, chain coffee spots down the road from here are more likely to serve better coffee. Not large enough to be a sit down café during the winter months.

Beautiful view from the balcony. Very serene. The coffee was great– I had a cappuccino and it was strong enough to get me through my hike that day. The owner was also super friendly and nice.

The latte was a little weak but frankly that’s the risk you take when ordering a latte anywhere ever. A very small one-man show tucked inside the little alpine mall on main street. Huge window with a miniature balcony overlooking Mirror Lake. Seating for maybe 10 people tops inside. Friendly service.

Absolutely adorable mom and pop café. The breakfast sandwiches were delicious and the coffee was very good. Beautiful view of Mirror Lake. Staff was extremely friendly and we met a few locals while stopping in there who were very welcoming. Great place to grab a quick bite to eat before heading out to Whiteface

We love this coffee shop not because the coffee is anything special(it’s not bad) but because of the mix of location, offerings and ambiance. In addition to these is the proprietor, who is a rough-around the edges(in a nice way) casual, slightly bumbling entrepreneur who looks like he just got back from a Greatful Dead concert(if such concerts still existed). He just seems to have a good vibe that puts you at ease and is in keeping with the image of LP we have in our minds(if not in reality). Location — in a nook at the end of a mini(really mini) mall located in downtown LP. In another words, not storefront — it’s a bit off the beaten path, which is a reason we like it. Ambiance — The nook is cozy, with a couple tables, book and game shelf, and a balcony area, also with a couple small seating areas, that overlooks Mirror Lake. It’s a mom & pop establishment, not a chain and is a hold-over from a time when there were no chains of any kind in downtown LP(e.g., that coffee chain). Offerings — a few types of ready brewed coffees, help yourself style. If you want skim with that, ask for it, it’s behind the counter. Also have really good smoothies, except when they don’t. A good, broad menu of coffee and chocolate drink items. The bagels are fine(tons of cream cheese); the other baked goods look meh. Blow off Starbucks and check it out.

We’re not one for bad reviews, but when it comes to grabbing coffee and a quick bite in LP, this place shouldn’t be at the top of the list. While coffee was OK(nothing to write home about, but not bad), yogurt cup was mostly a lot of plain yogurt and a tiny bit of granola on top, with berries still frozen. Bagel was the size of a teething ring, with a raindrop-amount of peanut butter. Guy behind the counter was a one-man show and a little overextended. We had a pair of sunglasses that must’ve fallen off the counter when we were paying, and he accidentally crushed them when he stepped on them. Not his fault, but he didn’t acknowledge it. Then he forgot one of our drinks and accused the other person of ordering something they didn’t order(they already had their drink). Inside was disorganized and dirty — lake view but not much seating.

This tiny hole in the mall has a nice view mirror Lake. That’s one of the few good things you can say about it. It’s shabby and run in an amateurish, if friendly, way. Kids and adults were both disappointed with the food quality. And the coffee isn’t even good. There are better options nearby.

well brewed dark roast, great location overlooking Mirror Lake. Books and games on a shelf, a good place for a relaxing cup of coffee. The floor could use a mop maybe.

One man show, doing too many things. Long line that did not move. After 10 minutes in line to get a cup of coffee, we walked across the street to Soul Shine.

In Lake Placid for Empire State games, wanted some coffee in the morning, saw the reviews, figured I’d try it. As they say when in Rome. Not a big place(very tiny, 1 couch, seats 2 – 3, 1 table). Numerous choices for Bkfst. Eggs, Wraps, Oatmeal, muffins(2 choices only, thought there would b more) Etc. Ordered a Hot Chocolate for the little one & a French Vanilla coffee, Sm. Daughter said Hot Chocolate was good & it was(she liked it better than Starbucks the night B4). Coffee was good also. Cute little place with a great view of Mirror Lake. Nice place to just sit & enjoy view anytime of day.

We ordered a hot chocolate and it reminded me of how my grandmother use to make it by hand on the stove! It was delicious and would purchase here again.

Have try to visit this place three times, but closed. Local people told me the owner will close when it’s quiet. Not a place I will rely on having a cup of joe

Coff E Bean Coffee and Espresso Bar is a cozy casual coffee shoppe with a view that will take your breath away. It’s a great place to escape from the hustle of tourists shopping and enjoy the view of the lake with hot cup of coffee and one of their delectable baked goods. Friendly service too! A must visit!

Great little place on main street in the back of the market place. Quiet and small I picked up a chicken salad wrap. Simple quick the sandwich was great and was easy to eat on the go in the car.

After making the trek to Lake Placid from the other end of the park one Sunday morning, my girl and myself were famished. Nothing was open from Inlet to here. While the«other» coffee place stands out on main st, this quiet place caught our attention, tucked away in a little mall type shopping area. Wanting a little bite to eat to hold us over till lunch, we stopped and had coffee and English muffins. Amazing! To top it off the owner asked if we wanted homemade cherry jam, his wife made, it was incredible, it had us both going back for seconds. This was a great experience, personable, friendly, a great view of mirror lake, just like the Adirondacks I remember as a kid, I will be stopping back again this fall when I’m back up there for sure.

Nice cute mom and pop café, ordered a latte, very nice. The balcony view of the lake makes for a nice morning session of quiet contemplation. Good customer service.
