Absolutely amazing. Worth violating our«never visit the same place twice» policy. Selection is huge-I had a panini, companion had an omelette. The plan is to go back tomorrow for a sweet breakfast!

Very rude staff. Especially the cashier with brown curly hair. Politeness goes a long way. Good food however experience was ruined by terrible staff treatment.

Really good crepes. My favorite is the apple pie a la mode. The sandwich rolls are tasty and the choice of fillings are endless!

Our favorite joint in LP. We frequently visit to hit some high peaks and this is always our first spot. Get a big meal and a few crepes to keep us going for all day hikes. There can be quite a line so get there before they open if you are on a time budget. Delicious drinks(coffee, lattes, etc.) also.

My favorite sandwich shop! I am always craving the tabletop sandwich(#19)! This place is perfect for any craving because they have 46 different kind of sandwiches!

I went here on a warm winter weekday and it was not packed, which I liked. My friend and I wanted to try some crepes. They had a decent selection. I got the pesto chicken, she got the buffalo chicken. We got that in addition to 2 hot chocolates for a grand total of 30 something $. I thought it was a little expensive but I’m not familiar with the prices in that neck of the woods so np. I didn’t enjoy my pesto crêpe, felt like it needed a little more seasoning. Because they do have a diverse selection and the staff were so peasant, I would go back, but not for the pesto crêpe.

Lots of choices. Good food. Espresso bar, too. Reasonable price. Recommend the crêpe options over the burritos although both were good.

This place is awesome! Came for breakfast and ordered crepes which were so delicious, warm and very filling. Also stopped by for lunch and wasn’t disappointed. There are a lot of sandwich options to pick from so make sure you read the whole menu. You can eat inside or outside — my fiancé and I ate inside in their«window seat». If we lived in the area we would be here very often! Definitely a place to check out.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! I may be their biggest fan. Never in my life have I summited upon such a peak of vast greatness in the sandwich realm. Not only are their sandwiches named after the 46 high peaks, they do breakfast and have crepes! This is a MUST visit if you’re in LP. The lines can tend to get a bit long but it is surely worth the wait. I still crave their breakfast sandwiches on a weekly basis. The bread is amazing, you have a choice with each sandwich. The rosemary bread is phenomenal — they occasionally sell out of certain ones so get there before the rush! Very reasonably priced and the portions are large. There is not much seating so if the lines are long scope out a spot and have a member of your party grab a table. Staff is very nice, be ready to listen for your number to be called. They fire meals with numbers announced near the sandwich counter — don’t expect to wait outside and think you’ll hear your number called. AGAIN — MUSTVISITTHISPLACE!

This place has an interesting menu and actually makes decent sandwiches but I can’t recommend it because it was excessively dirty, service was way slow, and the crepes were not good. Bland, thick and chewy.

Popular place, be prepared to wait! Limited seating with a few tables outside. I suggest calling in the order and picking it up. I came twice on the weekend and the line was to the door and took 1 hr to place order and get food. Kids loved the banana Nutella crêpe but the s’mores crêpe was a bit too much. Good panini and breakfast burrito.

We love their sandwiches so much that we got the same ones 2 days in a row! We went to both the Simply Gourmet location on Saranac Ave and this location. The Giant was my personal favorite that I ordered both days, and it eas definitely big enough for 2. I tried both the Asiago peppercorn and Basil Pesto breads, and the Basil Pesto was sooooo flavorful and won hands down in my book. Their giant PB cookies are the best I think I have ever had, too!!! Worth every penny! Definitely a place you don’t want to miss.

Cut through Lake Placid on way home from long weekend of camping and immediately spotted the creperie as there are few in our home area. This place is on bustling Main Street on smaller Mirror Lake just south of Lk Placid. Parked in municipal parking lot across street on hill($ 1/hr) and came up to cute bistro tables outside. Sign stated 46 sandwiches so the menu was a must-see. Hipster type atmosphere when we walked in. Huge chalkboard menu plastered on walls above the crêpe station and kitchen area. The menu offered so many choices of sandwiches crepes and salads that it was almost hard to choose! I opted for the maple ham/asparagus/goat cheese crêpe for my entrée and needed to fulfill my sweet tooth ending with the strawberry short crêpe. The ham crêpe savory and I thought good combination of cheese and veggie with a warm maple syrup dip. The strawberry short crêpe was disappointing in that they used frozen strawberries and canned whipped cream. Wouldn’t recommend as a first choice in a sweet crêpe here after tasting it. Overall good choice for lunch and would recommend. Prices could be lower for the crepes for the amount you get($ 12 for the ham and $ 8 for the strawberry).

I had shared with my coworkers that we were planning a little get away to lake placid and she said I had to have a sandwich at the crêperie. She said, «you’ll know which one». I had the mt marcy and it was amazing! Everything went together so well, and was probably the most affordable meal we’ve had in the area. They ate bound to have something for everyone with 46 different sandwiches and so much more on the menu. They had a trail crew special, pbr and a shot of whiskey for $ 4. Amazing. Will def be back here.

Big Mountain Deli and Creperie is our main source of breakfast every time we visit Lake Placid. The crepes are made fresh and right in the window for all to drool and admire… we’re more sweet crêpe people so anything with nutella(nutella and strawberry, nutella and banana) is right up our alley. The savory crepes are divine as well, with any sort of combination you could imagine, from traditional breakfast combinations to mexican creations. If crepes aren’t your thing, they’ve got a plethora of breakfast sandwiches, burritos, bowls, plates, and other options to satisfy your whim. On our last trip up to Lake Placid, we got to experience their lunch and it held its own against breakfast. We ordered a varied selection of salads and sandwiches for our bridal party as they were getting ready for our wedding. With the exception of a minor mishap, where some of the food was not placed in the bag so we had to make a second trip back to get what was missing, everyone was over the moon satisfied with their meal. They have 46 sandwiches to choose from, so if you can’t find a sandwich you like, it might not exist. The #5 Whiteface and #34 Seymour were big hits. Fun fact: each of the 46 sandwiches is named after one of the 46 High Peaks in the Adirondacks. This place gets busy and stays busy most of the day, so plan to call ahead or have some time to wait. Service can be on the slower side but the staff is friendly and helpful.

Hungry for lunch? This place is a very safe bet for a quick and easy meal. I went there twice during our stay in the area. I tried a sandwich, a crêpe, and a breakfast panini. I would totally go back there. What makes it so good is that they are not trying to re-invent anything: they make good food with super fresh ingredients. That’s it, no fuss, simple and and delicious. They make their own sandwich rolls and have a few more that they don’t make. I only tried the home-made ones and they are just what you would expect from day-fresh rolls. They also have bottled beers, which is a nice little side on a sunny summer day. They have a few tables outside and the inside is a decent size.

I was never a fan of Crepes, but thankfully that this restaurant café serves up more than just Crepes! On a recent road trip to Lake Placid, NY from Latham, NY, I met up with friends here at the Big Mountain Crêpe Café and deli for lunch. Apparently, this place is pretty popular, but I’m glad that my friends and I got here before the big lunch crowd showed up. We were here on a recent bustling Friday before winter time. The table next to the entrance was open, so we took up that space. It made me feel like display mannequins, but I guess when you are with friends, that does seem to matter much anymore. The experience was good and we took about 2 hours here. Very cool to be spending a Friday here in Lake Placid with friends. The Big Mountain Crêpe & Deli Café is located on 4123 Main Street in Lake Placid. This part of town is basically the downtown urban side of Lake Placid. There is very limited parking, but I found parking at a pay lot across the street from Big Mountain, which went for $ 1 per hour. I spent up to $ 3, since I hung out at Starbucks before meeting my friends for lunch. Best bet is to either pay for parking or find free parking nearby, but you would need to walk far to get something for free. The Big Mountain Crepes and Deli accepts credit cards, so that always a plus. After looking at the menu, I feel like this place is kind of overpriced, especially when I drove past a Subway restaurant on the way up to Main Street. $ 10 or so for a sandwich and a side of Mac salad, which does not include a drink! How crazy is that? My bad I guess. I ultimately picked up the tuna salad sandwich with feta cheese on rye bread. The cheese made everything pretty smooth and it was a delicious sandwich. No wonder why this place was popular. I got to admit that it was pretty tasty. The cheese made everything tasty. I wasn’t a fan of Crepes, but 2 of my friends ordered desert Crepes and I just sat there and watch them eat it. One got a banana one, whereas the other gotten a strawberry one. It was pretty cool how I saw while strawberries in the crêpe, instead of strawberry purée. Wow. That’s pretty amazing to see that! My experience here was a positive one. The service here was good and expected. I would probably come here again, if I am ever in the area. Support local! B

Fantastic Sandwiches kept us coming back while spending a long weekend in Lake Placid. Wait in the long line, wait for a table, do whatever it takes to eat breakfast and/or lunch here. They have a long list of sandwiches including 46 named after each of the 46 high peaks in the Adirondacks. Had the gray, panther, lower ausable(breakfast panini), and the table top, all very good. Smoothies($ 6) are just as great, made with real fresh fruit. Long lines are turned fast and the staff somehow still remains polite. We ate here twice in one day. If you’re in the area, this place is a must!

Cannot say enough great things about the food here. Menu is huge, almost overwhelming. You can get a sandwich(you get to pick from several different types of bread), savory crêpe, or sweet crêpe. They also have a full breakfast menu. They also have smoothies and caffeinated drinks. I got the #3 turkey with red pepper and maple mayo sandwich. Delicious! We also got a #70 pear, Brie, Apple and raspberry sauce crêpe with walnuts on top. Amazing!!! This is the kind of place where anything you order will be the best sandwich you’ve ever had. The cons with this place are that it’s small. Granted we were there for lunch on a busy Saturday afternoon. Also the service was fairly quick but utilitarian, not very friendly. Definitely stop by if you’re in the area. You’ll be talking about it for years to come!
