I went to this office very recently. First I would like to say it is not like any other chiropractic office I have been to. The medical staff is knowledgeable and seems to care about their patients overall health, but the overall service was sketchy and I felt like I got lied to and forced into a cash payment plan. I went to Encompass because I was in pain and I ended up spending 2 hours in the office taking a fitness test and being sold on the 8 week program. I still left in pain without any chiropractic care. I was excited to start the new program and the doctor seemed to be great and the facility looked up to date. Office staff was less than helpful. Front desk could not answer my questions regarding insurance coverage. She wouldn’t accept money for my co-pay that I normally pay to regular chiro providers, and didn’t bother to call to check on my insurance coverage. I still made another appointment and on the next trip just paid for two co-pays, but still they didn’t know about my medical coverage 3 days later. Office staff said they couldn’t give me a receipt for my payment and wouldn’t hand write one either. They were willing to sign me up for another visit. After six days and three visits, I was explained by the doctor that my insurance would only cover up to 5 sessions with him so we discussed the cash plan because he didn’t want to have to do extra paperwork to justify his services and have an insurance company telling him how to run his practice. Unfortunately the office staff said the opposite and refused to even bill my insurance when I tried to leave. I paid my large cash settlement(¼ of my monthly house payment) and didn’t look back. Very similar experience to how I felt when I tried buying a used car on Highway 99E; only the car lot gave me my money back when I complained.
